Title: Perfect book for our family Christmas countdown
Review: I am so glad I came across this book. I started a new tradition this year with my boys who are 14 and 9. We are reading a Christmas book each night during advent, starting December 1st and ending Dec 24. Some of the ones AI had purchased on recommendations were a bit young for them. So after some more searching, I came across this book. It is a perfect fit! A great story about how a father's love for his son is shown in return when that son shows his love for his father by getting up early on Christmas morning to get the chores done for his dad. Seeing as I have two boys this is a perfect story to read with them, but no matter who is in your family, it showcases a great message of how acts of love are some of the best gifts of all. This will be a regular in our advent reading every year!

Title: Christmas picture book
Review: I bought this book to add to my collection of childrenâs books for Christmas. Although it is technically for children, the story is relevant to adults, as is the case of many books written for youngsters. Written by well known author Pearl S Buck with nice artwork.

Title: Incredibly touching story.
Review: This story makes you feel good! A man reflects on a Christmas past when he was young and gave the best gift he could think of to his dad who in his present day is now gone. I cry every time I read it. A sweet story of service and love at Christmas.

Title: BEAUTIFUL STORY / BEAUTIFUL ILLUSTRATIONS
Review: If I could give this a 10, I would! Our family has read this story many times but never with such beautiful illustrations. I purchased 2 for my brothers to read to their families; I plan to purchase more. We were raised on a farm, so this is a relatable story.

Title: a surprise book from Pearl Buck
Review: I have read some Pearl Buck stories but this one was different. You can see from the cover on the book how beautiful the art work is and the story is good too. The young boy (Rob) in the family wants to give his father something special for Christmas but because of the hard times people were having and the lack of money he has to think really hard what to do. The father was so pleased with what he found Christmas morn that he looked at his son in a new way. He never expected the gift he got and it cost Rob nothing. We can all do similiar things without money,it is done with love.

Review: A beautiful story about a boy who allows his realisation of his father's love to teach him a lesson in thoughtfulness, gift-giving, love, and a pertinent message from a story set in a simpler time.
