Title: Interesting Book but I Have Unanswered Questions....
Review: This book does a nice job of recounting near death experience stories. But being a person who questions much about the afterlife, I did not feel satisfied after reading this book. In a few of the stories the "dead" person is asked about the living? My Mom died last year and I often wonder if she has any knowledge about my life and current experiences? There seems to be discrepancies on whether the dead are aware of us or not. The scriptures basically say that the dead rest from their sorrows. Of course, if they witness our lives they would undoubtedly experience sorrow watching our afflictions UNLESS they can see our trials from a totally different perspective?? I hoped the author would address and pull together all of the scriptures and these experiences in an attempt to explain WHY some of those in the spirit world had to ask about the living. I have a hard time believing that a loving God would not allow knowledge of the living from the spirit world. Apparently they do know when temple work has been done.... I also found it curious how several of them viewed their own bodies with disdain. On earth, I believe the goal is to integrate the body, mind and spirit. Acceptance of ourselves as God's creation and children brings self-esteem. Society is geared toward self-loathing as we are told age is abominable through all types of media which tell us to buy products that make us younger, better, and more appealing. It's interesting to know the reports of those who die and return....but more interesting to address how the scriptures and near death experiences tie together to teach us how to live and die successfully. I liked the summary she gives at the end and found it useful.

Title: Excellent treatise on life after death
Review: I love studying NDE’s and this book was particularly interesting to me as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It gave me greater motivation to do genealogy and Temple work for my ancestors.

Title: Sweet reminder that life continues eternally!
Review: I have always loved the statement that we are spiritual beings having a mortal experience. This book is a strong reminder that this mortal journey prepares us for the life we continue to live when we finish our mortal probation. I loved the sweet and simple stories and the wonderful commentaries that tie things together with scripture and the words of the prophets.

Review: Buyer beware!! Really disappointing. I thought this would be about the "early church history" of NDE's but no. Instead it is a misguided lady attempting to push early Mormon beliefs instead of true Christianity. Utter nonsense...not worth the money so returned!!
