#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “Get ready to be swept up in a whirlwind romance. It absolutely charmed me.”—Reese Witherspoon (A Reese’s Book Club Pick)
“The perfect book to get lost in . . . Josie Silver’s characters sneak their way into your heart and stay.”—Jill Santopolo, author of The Light We Lost
Two people. Ten chances. One unforgettable love story.
Laurie is pretty sure love at first sight doesn’t exist anywhere but the movies. But then, through a misted-up bus window one snowy December day, she sees a man who she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there’s a moment of pure magic . . . and then her bus drives away.
Certain they’re fated to find each other again, Laurie spends a year scanning every bus stop and cafe in London for him. But she doesn’t find him, not when it matters anyway. Instead they “reunite” at a Christmas party, when her best friend, Sarah, giddily introduces her new boyfriend to Laurie. It’s Jack, the man from the bus. It would be.
What follows for Laurie, Sarah, and Jack is ten years of friendship, heartbreak, missed opportunities, roads not taken, and destinies reconsidered. One Day in December is a joyous, heartwarming, and immensely moving love story to escape into and a reminder that fate takes inexplicable turns along the route to happiness.

Title: Couldnât put it down.
Review: Iâm so unbelievably happy that I purchased this book. It keeps you on your toes with suspense and longing as you sit in on a group of friends, lovers, and best friends that go through their twenties together. There's heartbreak, humor, unconditional love and so many twists to this book I wasnât expecting. The only regret I have is that I read this damn book in one day! Ever wish you could reread a book for the first time again? That is me. Iâll be reading this again closer to Christmas! ð
10/10 highly recommend, perfect book for Christmas. Immense yourself with these beautiful written pages.

Title: This book wrecked me and not in a good way...
Review: A few things to start with. I really enjoyed the authorâs voice. Her humor, characters and overall feel of the novel was right up my alley. I can see the author going far, and will keep my eye out for future novels. The reason Iâm rating this novel the way Iâm rating it is wholly based on how the plot made me feel. The story is based on the idea of love at first sight between Laurie and Jack. The trouble with that was the timing, it was way off â ten years off. Thatâs one of the issues I had with this story. Laurieâs pining and her forced proximity to Jack and Sarah was killing me. If I would have been Laurie, I would have packed my bags and moved out/on. It was a cruel and unnecessary punishment that she put herself through, and I would not have stood for it.Over the course of ten years, Laurie and Jack were being drawn together and ripped apart by life and multiple untimely situations. Missed opportunities and silence when just one word would could have changed everything drove me mad with a broken heart for Laurie and Jack.Iâm all for second chances if the couple meets each other after 10 years for the first time again. But in One Day in December the couple lived in the same city, spent quality time together, and shared a best friend/girlfriend. Thatâs too much of closeness for my liking and a recipe for disaster or at least a broken heart. There were many times I wanted to put it down and be done with it.Knowing that the couple would go through this kind of heart ache until the very end of the book was not something I was looking forward to. But I wanted to see them get their HEA. I NEEDED a HEA!!! And Laurie and Jack needed one too.Of course the author had me tearing up with an amazing ending. An amazing conclusion that had my heart go all gooey and warm.

Review: It made me cry and smile so much! I could not stop reading it. It may be another book about a love story but I really liked all the characters, the setting (London/Thailand/Edinburgh) and the fact it is over 10 years. Descriptions and conversations are well-written. The story is told from both sides bringing more explanation about misunderstanding and their behaviours/decisions. This book makes me dream and makes me want to tell my loved ones that I stand by them and I am truly deeply in love with them â¤ï¸ take care of your people ! Good vibes book. Just read it
