The ultimate listening party guide, Booze and Vinyl shows you how to set the mood for 70 great records from the 1950s through the 2000s.
From modern craft cocktails to old standbys, prepare to shake, stir, and just plain pour your way through some of the best wax ever pressed. Wickedly designed and featuring photography throughout, Booze & Vinyl is organized by mood, from Rock to Chill, Dance, and Seduce. Each entry has liner notes that underscore the album's musical highlights and accompanying "Side A" and "Side B" cocktail recipes that complement the music's mood, imagery in the lyrics, or connect the drink to the artist. This is your guide to a rich listening session for one, two, or more.
Among the 70 featured albums are: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club, Purple Rain, Sticky Fingers, Born To Run, License to Ill, Appetite for Destruction, Thriller, Like a Virgin, Low End Theory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust, Hotel California, Buena Vista Social Club, Back to Black, Pet Sounds, Vampire Weekend, and many more.Visit boozeandvinyl.com for more info.

Low End Theory from A Tribe Called Quest
Side B – Sidecar
Perhaps the signature drink of the great America Jazz Age, the Sidecar is a double-feature of two exceptional French products: Cognac (brandy) and Cointreau. With a sugared rim, it’s a sure hit. And it’s a swanky accompaniment to this uplifting, jazzy masterpiece.
Prepare a glass by wetting the rim and dipping it in the sugar. Shake ingredients with the ice and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with an orange peel.
Ingredients 2 ounces brandy 1 ounce Cointreau 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice Sugar, to rim the glass Orange peel, for garnish
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band from The Beatles
Side A - East India Cocktail
With this incredible classic, we pay homage to the Beatles’ meeting with the Maharishi in London in 1967. The band then famously traveled to visit the guru in India in ‘68. The first global cocktail, it is a suitably sunny and whimsical drink.
Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with nutmeg.
Ingredients 2 ounces brandy 1/2 ounce orange curaçao 1/2 teaspoon Maraschino liqueur Dash of Angostura bitters 1 1/2 ounces fresh pineapple juice Freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish

Title: Great Gift For Cocktail Lover
Review: I purchased this as a gift for my brother in law. As a young man in his 20s I had no idea what to get him. This book was perfect! It was not only a great piece for his maturing home and sense of style, but for his maturing taste. He says it is a great coffee table book as well as a fun resource with some cool recipes for classic cocktails.

Title: Perfect for our Speakeasy Bar
Review: These are beautiful and we have the whole series. They're super fun and perfect for inviting friends over to listen to an album while sipping on one of the drinks paired with it. We love this as an option for inviting some friends over for a chill evening and listening to some vinyl.

Title: One of the best booze books I've bought
Review: Got this for a xmas gift for my husband and he loved it. I think the intersection of music and drink is fascinating and this is a book that does it well. It covers some of the classic cocktails we all know and love, but also has some unique recipes we had not heard of before (making it even more worth the purchase)! Covers a little bit of every music genre, so anyone can appreciate this gift, weather they are Beatles fan, Gene Autry fan, pop, folk, or something else.Good quality for the price. I like having a hard cover book too as they keep longer and don't bend as easy. Feels expensive.

Review: A very handy little book to have at hand when planning to mix up a couple of cocktails. Some very creative recipes included. Some of the alignment with the albums was a tad ridiculous, but all added to the fun of it all. Buy this for the cocktails, not so much for the musical reference.
