Title: Very complete guide!
Review: We have not had this encyclopedia long, so I cannot comment on the quality of The binding or anything like that. But it's a great reference guide. We like that we can actually look up a particular alcohol and it will tell us all of the areas where we reference guide. We like that we can actually look up a particular alcohol and it will you give us the page number for the recipe for that particular alcohol. We've used it several times already and feel that it was well worth what we paid for it.

Title: Gift for in-house bartender friend
Review: My friend literally has a credenza filled with every wine and spirit you can imagine. Every year for his birthday, his friends gift him with more spirits to refill his stock. Me not being a big knowledge person on liquors and spirits, I thought I would give him a book/encyclopedia to keep him inspired to be creative With his cocktail experimentation. I was super surprised by the size of the book! For $22 I literally received an encyclopedia about 2 1/2 inches thick, of 1000 cocktail recipes! This might keep him busy for several years to come lol. I canât wait to give it to him for his birthday!

Title: Great quality content, poor quality binding
Review: This book has some really lovely cocktails. Book organised by spirit. Pages themselves have a nice weight to them. Pictures were beautiful. I loved that there was a glass recommendation for each, by a little symbol next to the drink. It was a thoughtful touch that they included budget versions of many classic cocktails. The one thing that caused stars off was a poor binding. I treat my books well, but even after the first use, it was coming apart. Still happy I bought it, though!

Review: I'm not the one to go into detailed reviews but I cannot stress to you folks how great this book is. It covers the tools, the spirits (the classics and no classics), syrups and bitters, mixing, shaking and straining, and of course, the cocktails which is categorized very neatly. This really is the complete bar bible for new folks who are trying to learn and more experienced mixologists looking for fun new things to make. This definitely isn't your easily portable book as it's quite heavy, but considering how much information it provides, it's very much worth it.
