HELLFIRE HABANERO SHRUB BITTERS
Very Small Batch
We love spicy foods here at Bittermens. In fact, habaneros appear in everything from cream sauces to omelets at home. However, we have found that when people try to make spicy cocktails, much of the time the flavor falls short.
The problem as we see it isn’t the heat – it’s how the heat is incorporated into the cocktail. Infusing jalapeño peppers into tequila is perfect if you want a tequila drink. However, simply putting commercial hot sauces, sambal or sriracha into a cocktail usually throws off the cocktail’s balance.
The way that most hot sauces are made is by blending peppers with vinegar, salt and other spices. Vinegar, eh? That sure sounds like a shrub to us. Shrubs are classically refreshing fruit and vinegar-based syrups that were sweetened and diluted to make a beverage since revolutionary times. Instead of making a berry shrub or an orange shrub, why not make a hot pepper shrub?
We’ve fortified the shrub with alcohol (to better extract the flavors from the spices) and made it much more concentrated, so you only need to use drops instead of ounces to get the desired effect… which, in this case, is a good ol’ bit of heat.

Title: Great product and great customer service!
Review: The seller promptly responded to my request and was very courteous in their response. My husband and I wanted to replicate a drink we had at a local cocktail bar with these bitters, and it worked out quite well.

Title: Nice flavor....
Review: I like the flavor that this brings to my margaritas. It gives them depth and balances out the fresh lime acidity. I'll preface the next part by saying that I like heat and have a high tolerance for it. So do keep that in mind when I say I'm still waiting/looking for the heat. ,'m sure I know people that would think this was hot and spicy - but for me it is solid dimension/flavor - and if I use enough - a little bit of heat in the finish.

Title: Delicious!
Review: This stuff adds the perfect amount of spice to any cocktail. I loved it in my blood orange margaritas to add a little spices and I have used it in a gin cocktail with fresh blood orange juice, solerno, and lime cordial.

Title: Hellfire? Hell yea!
Review: This is just what I have been looking for to create great cocktails with a nice afterglow. You can easily vary the burn to your level of please and it does not distort the task of a drink. One of my favorites for Hellfire: Bullet Rye + fresh apple cider and hellfire to task. Yum. I am not a vodka person, but if I drank Margaritas, I would be adding some hellfire.

Title: Not as hot as I wanted.
Review: This doesnt put out the heat I wanted. To get a good bite you add so much it effects the flavor of the drink. It's not terrible. But a chopped jalapeño can get just as much if not more heat , with a better flavor.

Review: The Flavour was OK but it is priced at a much higher price that I have bought 4 or 5 other flavours by the same company in my local Bottle shop in Spain. I use Bitters pipetteed into tonic with a lot of ice, producing a very mildly alcoholic drink, as my sole exemption to a year of going "dry" and it does give the feel of being a real drink, far more so than non alcholic beers etc which helps at social gatherings. But I feel that the company would sell more if they advertised such a use at a lower pricing point.
