Title: Great looking and great tasting recipes!
Review: It's been years since I bought a cookbook, but after following Dan Langan (@bakedbydan) on social media, I knew I had to buy "Bake Your Heart Out." Not only is this book full of beautiful, sumptuous photos, but it also has fantastic and easy to follow recipes. I just baked Dan's Cloud Nine Banana Bread and it has the most amazing texture and taste. I can't wait to bake my way through this entire collection of recipes. Dan's love of baking shines through and yet he is generous in sharing many useful tips and techniques. I truly feel that he's rooting for us all to become better bakers. My biggest dilemma is deciding which recipe to choose next!

Title: Great mix of go-to recipes and new twists on favorites
Review: I follow Dan on social media, and he always has great baking tips and hacks. I pre-ordered his cookbook and have already tried two recipes - the Thick and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies and the marbled cookies. Both were super good, easy, and both had little twists from standard cookie recipes. And not a surprise - Dan includes all sorts of tips on ingredients, pans, and techniques. Can't wait to try other recipes!

Title: Best Book That I have bought in years
Review: I love this book. I won't call it a cookbook but more a great instructional book. I am 75, have baked all my life and still have learned so much from what Dan wrote. I think I have done probably 50+% of the recipes in it. No matter what stage of baking you are in, this is a must have book. Pictures are beautifully done. Easy to read and understand. I can't wait for his next one.

Review: First recipe I tried was the chocolate cake. It is good, but nothing stands out. The texture is soft and moist, but still feels grainy even thought I sift everything. The chocolate buttercream is quite basic. I am a little bit disappointed because I thought it would outbeat all the other chocolate cakes I’ve tried.

So these recipes have amazing technique, flavor, and attention to detail, but are still simple to execute with tools and ingredients that feel familiar. He just GETS IT.
