Title: Excellent coffee maker!
Review: Absolutely love this coffee maker! There is a noticeable difference in the quality of this coffee and a standard drip maker or a Keurig, even when using just our everyday coffee (we like Community Coffee dark roast). There are just two of us in the house and it's nice to be able to make a small pot in the morning (enough for us to both have two cups) and I love that it's easy to make an excellent single cup that is so much better than a Keurig. I have also used it for hot tea (I did adjust for their recommended amount the second time) and I'm looking forward to making cold brew next Summer.1 thing I will note is that the buttons around the dial are extremely sensitive and it's easy to accidentally touch one while you are adjusting time or brew settings. I read another review talking about setting a delay brew and that's what came to mind is that it would be very easy to hit descale accidentally. I would recommend setting the delay time before putting the grounds in. (I have ours start the same time every morning so once the time is set you just have to hit delay brew, it remembers the time).

Title: Makes great tasting coffee but lacks some key features.
Review: I am a self-confessed coffee snob. I love to try whole beans from favorite small roasteries. Unfortunately, my Keurig just didnât do those coffees justice, so I bought this one. There is much to like here. Itâs easy to use and clean. I love that it makes hot or iced coffee and that it has different settings and a separate brew basket for tea. I love that it can make one to 8 cups. I love that it auto-senses which brew basket is inserted and offers programming options accordingly. I especially love that it brews a truly great cup of coffee. It does have a few limitations, however. The warming plate doesnât come on unless you brew a full 8-cup carafe. Thatâs an issue on mornings when I only want a mug or two. I paid this price to avoid microwaving great coffee into over cooked coffee just to warm it up. I donât love that the warming plate only stays on for 60 minutes. I do want an auto shut off safety feature but an hour isnât long enough to finish a full carafe. Overall, though, Iâm pleased with it. The great taste of fresh, well-brewed coffee more than makes up for a couple of small annoyances.

Title: Donât Buy
Review: Iâll start off by saying this coffee machine looks great on my counter. Looks arenât everything. With that said I will be promptly returning it. My number one issue with this machine is that when making coffee the warming plate does not come on unless you choose the full carafe setting. This is completely absurd for a coffee maker that is $300. If itâs the weekend yes, I will brew a full carafe because Iâm leisurely hanging out having coffee all morning. During the week I only need to brew the 8 or maybe the 12 oz option which means the warming plate does not come on and the brewed coffee is warm at best. Especially as the coffee sits in the carafe waiting until Iâm ready for a second cup. At first I thought my new machine was defective, but no, the designers and engineers actually built it this way. I wonât say much about the recommended scoop requirements for tea and coffee because I know everyone has different tastes as far as strength of brew. I found the recommended scoops to be way off. Iâm back to using my very inexpensive coffee maker because the coffee is good and the warming plate comes on no matter what size pot I brew.

Title: Very impressive!
Review: I'm not a big coffee aficionado, but even I could tell the difference with this coffee maker. It really is a clean tasting cup of coffee. I also love the look of it. It is slender and modern looking. It fits in great with a stainless steel kitchen. We've tried out the tea, and cold brew modes. Those are good, and work well. But for the most part, we use this to make hot coffee. It does ship with 2 filters. They are labeled "tea" and "coffee", but they are interchangeable. However, I find it easier to use the #4 disposable coffee filters. The #4 fits the basket perfectly. I generally start out the day brewing a 5 cup pitcher. And then throughout the day people can do a 12 or 16 oz single serving size. The water reservoir is large enough for the 5 cup pitcher, or for about 4 cups of single serve coffee. There is a pause and serve feature that can detect when you've removed the pitcher. However, there is some dripping, so I generally have paper towels nearby. We've been using it daily for the past 6 weeks, and I really could not be happier with this coffee maker.

Title: too much automation
Review: Bought this because the reviews said it makes great coffee. I make 2 mugs of coffee at breakfast, using 700 mLs of water (about 1/2 carafe), which screws thing up because the coffeemaker is programmed to make only a full carafe. So I get a message to add more water which flashes the entire time. After about 2 minutes a timer start counting down then counting up, have no idea why, but the brewing process stops. At some point the process restarts. My first mug is Luke-warm, the second mug, about 15 minutes later is hot. I'm guessing the carafe warming unit doesn't turn on right away. There is one control, a large knob which does everything. Think of a steering wheel that when tilted left or right activates the turn signals and when tilted up or down turns on the parking lights or headlights. A bit tricky. I called customer service and they told me to make a full pot of coffee.
