Title: Almost didn't buy due to bad reviews, glad I did
Review: I should start by saying that I'm a coffee snob, I buy green beans from around the world and roast them to my liking so I always have freshly roasted beans with flavor profiles that I enjoy.I really can't believe all the bad reviews on this product, this coffee maker does everything I want it to do... It makes great coffee from fresh beans in a short time with lots of ability to control the flavor. Most of the bad reviews I've seen are based on water splashing out onto the counter and it being hard to keep clean. I have a friend with a $5,000 Jura coffee maker and I'd put this up against it if you're willing to do a little extra cleaning. The cost of this is so low that most of its competitors are just plain old coffee makers or worse, K cup machines.Cleaning this machine after use is so quick and easy I'm doing it after every 30 ounces of coffee. That is way more often than they recommend but it is worth it to make maintenance very easy and prevent the water getting on the counter top. The front of the unit easily pulls out to gain access to everything you need, in one minute I'm able to drain the water holder and the used coffee catch trays including rinsing them out. If you want to clean the infuser make sure you turn the machine off, you can't get it out with the power on. (found that out after trying with the power on) Take one paper towel and wipe it down and put it back in, another minute total. So two minutes of cleaning every day or two and you have a machine that I feel competes with the best ones one the market, Jura, and you can do it for a tiny amount of the cost of one of theirs.I do have one complaint about a stupid marketing label that they put on the inside of the machine. It's going to look like cra... really quickly but if you want to remove it you will need some type of glue remover. I used goo-off and it did a great job, now I don't have to look at marketing when I'm cleaning the machine. I would have been okay with this if they would have made the sticker easier to get cleanly off.The pictures attached to this review are after making 5 cups of coffee, no mess, not a drop of spilled water.Pros:Cost for what you get is outstandingCleanup is so quick and easy if done oftenThe flip down for smaller mugs is plenty solid enoughThe noise level for the grinder is moderately loud but not terribleThe bean hopper is nice size, I got 10 ounces of beans in it with room to spareIt will default to the last size and type, quick if you always make it the sameThe brew speed isn't super fast but that's a good thing for flavor, the grounds need time to hydrate to get the flavor outHas a temperature adjustment, you can use this for your preference or to get different flavors from different beanscons:You need to pre-warm your cup if you brew at 3oz, your cup will draw the heat out of the coffee and it will be too cool to enjoyThe device is pretty heavy with the water tank full so it isn't easy to slide around on the counter top, you may find that a plus but I do need to pull it out to get easy access to the bean hopper if I'm using pre-ground coffee, I'd like it move a little easier. Conclusion:If you're willing to do a little extra cleaning I believe you will be thrilled with the ease of use and the taste of the coffee it makes. I'll be coming back here over the next few months if I feel anything has changed.

Title: Update: Great Product, Worst Customer Service
Review: Update: My product failed in just the first month and though the CS reps sounded helpful, they couldn't get my replacement processed even after 6 weeks since a ticket was raised! Thankfully, Amazon helped me get an exception and replaced my product from their end.The De'Longhi True Brew, my latest addition to the kitchen, is indeed a marvel in the world of coffee making. The design is sleek and modern, and its user-friendly controls make operating the machine a breeze. What impresses me most is its ability to brew a variety of coffees, from a robust espresso to a refreshing iced coffee, consistently delivering a rich and flavorful cup every time. The True Brew's advanced extraction technology shines through each cup it brews, creating an exceptional coffee experience at home. It's as if I've brought a professional barista into my kitchen, ready to cater to our coffee cravings at any moment. It does require more maintenance than I initially anticipated. Despite brewing just 1-2 cups a day, I find myself needing to clean the machine every couple of days. It's a minor inconvenience, considering the overall performance of the machine, but it's something I felt potential buyers should be aware of.The product description could have done a better job detailing this maintenance aspect. That being said, it's a small price to pay for the quality of coffee it produces. In conclusion, it is a fantastic coffee machine that brings the café experience right into your home. While it does require a bit more upkeep than expected, the superior quality of coffee it produces makes it worth the effort. For coffee lovers who appreciate the nuances of a well-brewed cup, the True Brew is a worthy investment.

Title: One machine that does it all
Review: I own 4 other different coffee machines with this De'Longhi TrueBrew Coffee Maker being my newest 5th machine. Three machines use different pods. The fourth is a fancy espresso machine. I love exploring different brewing methods. I picked this De'longhi TrueBrew because it is a machine that is capable of handling coffee beans AND pre-ground coffee in addition to various brewing options.I am the only one who drinks coffee daily and did not want to brew an entire carafe with a traditional machine. For my other machines, I went with pods because it was simpler but they are not good for the environment. They were also more expensive. I also didn't want to deal with filters and cleanups with traditional drip brews. With the De'Longhi TrueBrew, I can buy coffee beans or use ground coffee without having to worry about price and the environment.Right out of the box, I noticed that this is a big machine and I couldn't wait to try its capabilities. There are not many parts to assemble, which was a great sign! The water reservoir easily snaps to the main machine. The grinder section is well sealed with a rubber-gasket cover that keeps the beans fresh and away from oxygen. The inner bean container is not removable so you will have to finish one type of bean before you can put in a different type. The main coffee drip section has a removable plate and a catch basin. The body of the machine can be pulled out to reveal two containers. One to catch the used ground coffee and another to catch the extra water. These can all be separated and cleaned. The infuser can also be pulled out for cleaning. It contains a stainless steel mesh instead of the traditional paper filter. What are the brewing options? The machine is very simple to operate. I have been exploring the different brewing options and found them to be significantly different. The strengths of the coffee increases as I tried light, gold, and bold settings, with bold being the darkest in color. I love the large spectrum of brewing sizes from 3oz to 24oz. Sometimes, I only want a quick kick in the morning and would either choose the 3oz or 8oz cup. If I'm heading to the office, I would pick the 20oz for my thermal. How doe the coffee taste? It's very smooth with medium roast. If you use different beans and want to adjust the temperature, you can go into the setting and set the relative temperatures from a range of 1 to 3. The manual doesn't specify the actual temperature so some experimentation is needed. I am very happy with the default setting and enjoy the ease of making coffee.Cleanup: Like with any other appliance, some cleanup is expected. After every few cups, I would clean the overflow and the catch containers inside the machine. I like to also clean the infuser because grounds tend to settle and dry on the mesh. It's relative easy and doesn't require any special effort.Sound: This machine makes some clicks and clacks when starting up, brewing, and after brewing. Don't worry, that is part of the normal operation! This is the perfect single cup machine that I have found so far. It has a built-in grinder, brews a single cup, minimizes waste, and has various brewing options. The coffee tastes delicious and all can be made by pushing two buttons. Instant fresh coffee every time!

Review: I'm writing this while enjoying an extra large, fresh ground, fresh brewed, cup of coffee. With one cream and one sugar. That might be more information than you want. But that is what you're getting. I specifically waited a few weeks before writing this review just so I could give you a fair opinion about this machine.I have to admit. I was more than hesitant to buy this machine after reading some of the reviews. You know the ones. The same ones whining about the cleanup, the quality, yadda yadda. After all, it is a lot of money to put down on a coffee machine. I'm here to tell you. Put those concerns aside. If you're not spending the kids college fund, or using the money set aside to pay your power bill (you'll obviously need that power just to brew the coffee). I'm telling you, make the purchase. You will be happy, dare I say, even a little giddy walking up to this, relatively large, machine in the morning and seeing your freshly ground, freshly brewed coffee sitting there just waiting for you to take your first sip and start your day properly.Cleaning the machine is pretty easy. Everything comes apart very easily. The grounds can be quickly dumped I the trash or, in the wife's flower pots (as long as she's OK with that 😉😉). A quick rinse and a quick wipe with a damp cloth and your back in business. Don't pay any attention to the whiners. You'll spend more time walking to the kitchen than you will cleaning this machine. Cleanup is just a part of life. Get over it.To offer a bit of advice. Swallow your pride and READ THE MANUAL!!!! This is specifically directed at those guys, like me, that think "I'll just figure it out. It can't be that hard. After all it's only a coffee maker". Again I say READ THE MANUAL!!! Wives, show this to your husbands. READ THE MANUAL!!! This will save you more time than it actually takes to read the manual. It pains me deeply to have to tell you that. I promise I won't tell anyone that you actually read the manual. Once you learn how the machine works and how to brew your favorite coffee, I promise you that you'll be more than happy with this machine. Whether your heading out work or off to the kids soccer game. I know you'll be happy with your perfectly brewed coffee on your travel mug helping to keep your sanity while dealing with all idiots on the road.So... in conclusion I would highly recommend this coffee maker. I truly enjoy ever morning knowing there a perfect cup waiting for me right when I need it.

Review: I love this coffee maker. However it broke. Then I had to wait 4 days for the office to open since their support does not work on weekends, evenings or holidays so please make sure that your breaks during business hours. Then I had to go and get a thermometer to show them on video that it was actually broken. Then thet sent me a shipping label so I had to go and find a box to ship it in. Then they had to wait to receive it before they can ship me a new one. THen once they received it has been 7 business days. Can take up to 10. So fo a person who loves his coffee, I have out of a coffee maker without a replacement for a month almost.Usually a good manufacturer would replace an expensive item and we woul duse that box and label to ship the old one back. Absolutely horrible experience.

Review: Perfect but seems to be missing a part inside to catch drips. My daughter has one and the part is there but not this one. I’ve seen a few like this. Does not even show it in the manual therefore water and grounds collect under machine. If you don’t mind wiping up the bit under machine buy it cause it’s still a great machine.

Review: Our De'Longhi TrueBrew coffee maker replaces an old Mr. Coffee drip coffee maker and separate Capresso grinder. It was not that these were bad machines--they worked OK. However, my wife thought the coffee tasted dull. We were making a full pot each morning and I was constantly re-heating mine in the microwave throughout the day. Plus there was a basket to clean for each pot made and the brew wasn't consistent because of the manual selector on the grinder. We wanted a machine that automated the grind and brew for single cup serving so each cup was fresh, hot and consistent. We also needed a machine that was short enough to fit under the cabinet on the kitchen counter. This ruled out the Breville immediately. We opted for the De'Longhi TrueBrew without the carafe. It fits the counter perfectly. My wife loves the taste of the coffee. We are getting much more flavour and character from the exact same beans as before. She also loves the "over ice" setting. I like the single cup brewing, ensuring each one is consistently dosed and hot. No more microwaving stale coffee. I also like that there are no filters to dump. Plus, at the 3 oz. setting, the De'Longhi TrueBrew makes a very good facsimile of espresso, including crema. I'm impressed! It says it is a "drip" coffee maker, however, it uses a "diffuser" component that seems to operate at a higher pressure than regular drip.We are very impressed and happy with the De'Longhi TrueBrew.CONS: The spent coffee grounds and overflow water are captured inside the machine and these do need to be dumped from time to time. However, this is needed more frequently than I had expected, almost daily it seems. Maybe it's because we're just drinking too much excellent coffee! 🙂 Luckily, the machine opens up very easily and the clean-up procedure is fairly quick and unmessy. The De'Longhi TrueBrew also makes an assortment of grunts and burps when brewing and when shutting down. These might seem too noisy to some folks. We think it's charming.

Review: I bought this to replace my aging k-pod coffee maker and I'm completely satisfied. It's terribly expensive but you do get significant value:- zero waste, other than coffee grinds- whatever size you pick, you get 100% coffee strength, not like K-pod machines where it just runs extra water through the same k-pod- the "bold" is very strong, and top heat setting is extremely hot (I use the middle heat setting)- very easy to use- very easy to use pre-ground coffee in the "bypass chute"- very easy to clean (inside and outside)- very tidy (i.e., doesn't create a mess on the counter)- almost instantly ready-to-go when turned onOn the downside, but very easy to put up with:- quite noisy (keep this in mind if someone's sleeping within hearing distance from the kitchen)- goes through water fast (not just for the coffee, but to flush/clean the insides after each cup)- small water reservoir (about 5-7 8oz cups of coffee per refill) (the upside is the water tends to be fresh 🙂 )- inner containers for flushed water and used coffee grinds require emptying about every 5 cups when the indicator light flashes, but emptying them is easy and generally mess-free- not feasible to exchange coffee beans (i.e., you can't empty them out easily), but the trade-off is you can use any set of pre-ground coffee via the bypass chute. One tip for the pre-ground coffee use. When you press the Brew button, you seem to have only about 30 seconds to add the coffee and press Brew again to start brewing (at least in my experience). What I do now is measure out the coffee first in a small pill cup, then press Brew and then pour the coffee into the bypass chute. This also causes less mess around the bypass chute.

Customers say

Customers like the coffee flavor and ease of use of the coffee maker. They mention it makes great coffee from fresh beans consistently and is time-saving. However, some customers have reported that the machine broke after two weeks and started malfunctioning. They also have issues with leakage. Customers disagree on the ease of cleaning, functionality, value for money, and size options.
