Title: A worthwhile investment
Review: If you love Chemex coffee, do yourself a favor and get this. It's quality-made and you shouldn't ever need to make the investment again. It saves so much time babysitting the boiling water and pouring it at the right temperature, which is the only thing I didn't like about making Chemex style coffee. It is very easy to use, just a simple one-press will begin the brew cycle, and you can also choose whether to keep the hot plate on after brewing is done, or not (based on which direction you flip the switch to turn it on).As a Chemex fan myself, I highly recommend this brew station. I think anyone who likes coffee needs one of three things: a French press, a Keurig machine, or this. If you're a coffee lover you probably want to have all three. Of those options, this makes the best coffee, so it's understandable it would be the most expensive. One difference from other coffee makers is that this will always use the entire water reservoir, there is no size selection as it is calibrated to make a full Chemex pot (if the reservoir is full), or however much you want if you put less water in. The reservoir does have measuring marks on the side which are also helpful. Just note the major difference with not being able to select a size on the machine itself, it always uses up all the water you give it.

Title: Pour over coffee made consistent and easy.
Review: I do not regret this purchase one bit. It's one of my best purchases I've ever made. This is my first pour-over coffee maker. I'll admit that I've been using k-cups that I'd been buying from Costco for a long time. I was never fully satisfied with my morning coffee with that solution, but it was super easy to make and clean up. I told myself that using the k-cups was smart because I could make exactly how much coffee I needed without wasting any. But the problem was, I was always making 3 cups of coffee every morning. So I was creating a bunch of waste with those k-cups ending up in the landfill.I liked the idea of a pour-over, but I didn't have the room to store a kettle and I didn't like the idea of having to spend time learning how fast or slow to pour the coffee and having to stand there the whole time. I get it though that doing that exact process is for some the best part about pour-over. The process and the experience. Totally get that and support it. I just didn't think it was for me.But when I read an article about this Chemex Ottomatic and how it automated the pour-over process, I had to give it a try even though I thought it was a little on the expensive side at $350. Compared to some other automatic pour-over coffee makers though, the price is very reasonable. My morning coffee experience is so much better now. I pour exactly enough water for 3 cups (fill to the "6" line of the water container) and 6 tbsp of coffee and then turn it on to setting 1 (flip it towards you). That brews the coffee in about 5-7 minutes and then keeps the warming plate on. If you turn it on to setting 2 (flip away from you) then it brews the coffee and the warming plate turns off pretty quickly. The way it brews is great. The nozzle & pump lets out just a little bit of water at the start to let the grounds bloom and then it pours more water in. There are a bunch of nozzles in the head and some are on and some are off to simulate the pour over motion. It's so great. Watch the video that I attached. It's so cool.So you get the benefit of a pour-over without having to stand there and actually do the pour over. For me, that's awesome. I highly recommend the Chemex Ottomatic.

Title: WORTH THE PRiCE: Elegant design, REALLY good coffee
Review: I winced a bit at the price, but I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase. Okay, I'd been previously using a Mr. Coffee and didn't like the idea of a plastic coffee maker anymore, so decided try the Chemex drip. inside the Chemex drip carafe box, I saw this elegant machine that automatically trickles the water gently into the carafe, so I don't have to stand there and do it myself. Brilliant. And it works. Perfectly. It's quiet: no squawking or hissing. I used to use 5 scoops of coffee and 5 cups of water in Mr Coffee in order to fill 2 servings in "my" coffee mug. In this magic beastie, I measure 4 cups of water and 4 scoops of coffee and it is wonderful. No waste, no leftovers, no funny plasticy aftertaste. It's solid design with a nifty switch that let's you turn it on and keep hot for 90 minutes, or brew and shut off. I feel a little spoiled every day. I wish I would have bought this years ago. Bravo, Chemex!

Title: Worth it??
Review: Easy to use, a great improvement from pouring over the water myself and then waiting for the water to drain, so I can pour more. Tho the coffee is hot, I wouldnât mind it being a tad hotter. Overall Iâm happy wit it, but is it worth 10 times an ordinary drip coffee maker? Only if you donât flinch at the $350 price tag
