Title: Decent coffee super fast
Review: Our Keurig lasted 10+ years, amazingly. But we were tired of its limitations and the expense of buying pods. The problem was that it met our needs in every other way. We are a day-shift and night-shift household, so there is no time that a full pot of coffee would be used. That also means setting up a pot the night before doesnât work for us. That means we need something stupid-simple and quick for our separate morning coffee times. After having pod coffee for 10 years, we were ready to get back to really good coffee and willing to spend whatever it took to get it, but it HAD to be quick and easy. We found out thatâs not an easy combination.I read and watched all the coffee snob opinions for a few months and considered all the machines they talked about. We have made coffee with various methods over the years before our schedules made the Keurig our preferred choice. We did pour-over and French press for years. We loved the coffee, but right now, we were not willing to sacrifice our need for fast coffee on work days. So we evaluated everything that would give us a decent upgrade in coffee quality (better than Keurig!) quickly. In the end, nothing compared to the Bunnâs speed. It looked possible to make a travel-mug-sized serving (4 cups) at a time (and it is). The water reservoir is heated and ready to go. We only have to plop in a filter and a couple of scoops of coffee, and pour the correct amount of water into the reservoir. Out comes great coffee immediately. Each of us dumps the used coffee/filter and rinses the pot after each use, so itâs always ready to go.No more pod coffee. This is much better, but it took some tweaking for me to get there. I started trying to use some cheap medium roast coffee that I had been using in the Keurig, and it was terrible and undrinkable in the Bunn. I switched brands, and it took me about a week to get the right amount of coffee to make the perfect cup. It was worth some time experimenting for me though, because now I get exactly what I like every time. I went to a finer grind espresso-type coffee, and now I get a smooth cup that is sufficiently strong. My husband, who likes a darker brew, was fine from the first cup using his Starbucks dark roast.I have made great iced coffees too. They are strong but not bitter using the same finely ground coffee. That was impossible with the Keurig.Other than coffee, my next favorite thing is making a gallon of iced tea at a time by running a whole pot of water over a gallon-sized tea bag. I can brew a whole pot of tea, add sweetener, and fill up the rest of the gallon with water, all in less than 5 minutes. We got the glass carafe because the reviews on most stainless steel carafes seem mediocre. We are happy with our choice. The glass pours perfectly without spilling a drop and performs better than anything I have ever poured before. It has a plastic piece that extends slightly beyond the spout to help guide the pour. The glass is as sturdy as regular glass can be, not particularly fragile, although we know chances are it will meet its demise by getting broken some day. Hopefully replacements are easy to get.We have each made the mistake of trying to use the heated plate, and both of us forgot to turn it off and baked our coffee in the pot. We learned our lesson â just donât use it. With fresh coffee less just a minute away, there's really no need for it.We love the Bunn and feel like itâs the perfect machine for our household because of our crazy work hours. We get a very decent cup of coffee, super fast and easy. The coffee snob ideas were helpful, but in the end, speed won in our household.

Title: Finally, A Coffee Maker That Just Makes Hot Coffee!
Review: This is what Iâve spent decades looking for. A no-frills, idiot-proof (if you follow the one-time 10 minute setup process) well-designed coffee maker. No programming required, no timer, no clock, a semi-permanent tank heater switch (turn off when you leave for vacation) and a carafe hot plate switch that stays on until you turn it off, keeping your coffee left in the pot always hot. Ever had a power outage and your coffee maker loses all itâs programming features, leaving you frustrated with trying to remember what buttons to press to get everything back to your preferences? No more hassling with that anymore, as this is just a genuine nuts and bolt design that serves only one purpose, a super quick pot of flavorful hot coffee at just the right temperature.I drink coffee all day long and have done so for the last 40 plus years. I donât care for Starbucks or any of that expensive fancy designer fluff. I prefer the old-timers Diner coffee served hot and black and this one delivers. Though Iâm sure the coffee artists out there can satisfy their own taste buds to their delight. Currently, I use a 32 oz insulated coffee mug that keeps my coffee hot until itâs emptied. My only complaint is that this Bunn Coffee Carafe (pot) is only 50 oz, but that is easily compensated with the super-quick remake process. Just adding a scoop of coffee grounds (I only change the filter for the first morning cup) and fresh water, you have a full pot of hot coffee in only 3-4 minutes. There is an easy-to-read fill marker just under the fill lid but whatever amount of water is added (after the initial tank setup), that is the exact amount that fills back into the pot. The water reservoir always maintains 50 oz (full pot) of heated standby water at the ready and you canât overfill or under fill. The control switch for a fresh pot to dispense is fixed on the lid of the water fill tank where a continuous electrical current keeps a full pot of hot water ready to go at all times. By closing the water fill lid, the process immediately begins. You only need to remember to turn the hot plate switch off when you retire for bed or had your last cup of the day. Though it was left on overnight once, it didnât burn what little was left in the pot, it just needed a quick rinse and was ready to go. My lovely wife usually places a new filter with grounds and fills a pot of fresh water in the tank before bed, then flips the fill lid closed first thing in the morning. And while there is no âSneak-a-Cupâ feature, this machine makes a full pot so fast, you donât need it! And it has never overcooked or boiled grounds back into the pot. I noticed one reviewer claiming such an experience but I donât see how that is possible. This utilizes an angle spray feature that hits the lower sides of the filter always keeping all the grounds soaked and at the bottom.Having tried so many different coffee makers over the years with gimmicky programming features, a hot plate that automatically shuts off after 2-4 hours, Iâve at long last found the perfect solution with this Bunn unit. And the bonus is that this is made in the good ole USA with a factory 3 year warranty. That alone should stand as the critical selling point today. If this one holds up beyond the warranty period and fulfills the only requirement that I ask, itâs a sold 5-star rating for me! Perhaps a little on the pricey end, but at least my money isnât going to an enemy nation who seeks our destruction!

Review: We wanted a Bunn coffee maker specifically for the hot water tank, it just makes coffee so much faster. This is well built machine with no fancy bells or whistles, but it works well. The only switches/buttons you have are 1 for the hot plate (which we prefer over the carafe) and 1 switch for the hot water tank. We turn the hot water tank off when we are going to be away for an extended time. Also the price was great, a lot cheaper then anyone locally.Probably would not recommend if you don't drink coffee daily as there is no point in keeping the water hot for that long, you will loose some to evaporation. If you are a pot (or 2) a day, you will definitely benefit from it.

Review: Not my first Bunn. So far it works great, no plastic taste or smell and the carafe pours nicely. Only thing I wish it had was an automatic off for the heating element. Just have to be more careful.

Review: Love this coffee pot. We had a Tim Hortonâs version for 7 years, this was an awesome replacement and the coffee does taste better somehow. I wish the burner light was bigger, or up top, or red. I e left the burner on because I didnât see it easily.
