Title: Built-in charcoal water filter is awesome
Review: We love this coffee maker. The built-in charcoal waterfilter in the 14 cup water reservoir makes better tasting coffee.Easy to use, and has a paperless coffee filter (though we use a paper one in it anyway for easier cleanup).Good value for the money. Good build quality but you have to keep the heating element clean. Size is 14 cups with a larger water reservoir than your typical 12 cup machine.

Title: Makes great tasting coffee, but has lots of issues and broke in less than 3 weeks
Review: I have really tried to love or even put up with this coffee maker because in my opinion, it has made the best tasting coffee from any coffee maker I have owned. It looks nice, has program features, warming time and temp controls.The good:1) It makes really good coffee. I have been using the same coffee brand for years and this coffee maker just makes it taste better for some reason. Maybe the water is hotter when it hits the grounds, allows the water to stay in the grounds longer, who knows... it just tastes better.2) It looks really nice.3) Warming temp and timer settings are really nice to have.4) Programming helps when you want it to be ready when you want it ready.The bad:1) The most annoying part of this is the carafe cannot be slid in without having to open the lid. There is a rubber piece above it (to prevent splashing?) that catches it each time. You have to fight with it to put in the carafe. If I had a full pot, it would likely spill out because you have to force it in. The only easy way to get it in is to lift the lid each time.2) So now you have to lift the lid each time to get the carafe in, but when you pull it out the stopper doesn't seal well enough so you always get many drips (especially if it's still brewing). Again, trying to like this coffee pot... I pull out the carafe, put down a paper towel so the drips don't continue to burn on the warmer, fill my cup, then open the lid to slid in the carafe.3) Not terrible, but annoying... the beeps when you turn it on / finishes cannot be turned off and they are kind of loud4) Like others have said.. the carafe is poorly designed. The plastic part makes it very easy to pour a cup of coffee, but it makes it very hard to clean the carafe and you cannot get all the water out because of it.5) Speaking of the carafe... not sure what it is about this one but it's very hard to clean. It's like the glass gets stained very easily and you have to scrub it, a lot, daily to keep it looking clear/clean... which isn't easy due to the plastic piece blocking part of the carafe opening.6) Whatever causes the coffee pot to actually brew never turns off. You will hear random gurgling sounds when condensation builds inside and drips back down into the water reservoir. The gurgling is pretty loud... I can hear it upstairs.7) And finally and most importanly... today while brweing, I heard a loud pop. The plastic around the warming plate cracked. I have used this less than 3 weeks. I have never had a coffee pot do this... even cheap $15 coffee makers never literally broke while brweing.So... if you can deal with the issues above... and if yours does not break... it does make great coffee. I am returning mine.

Title: Warming plate cracked and carafe has persistent brown film
Review: Ordered this coffee maker on Jan. 10th 2024. Received a few days later and was looking forward to a new coffee maker since our old one started to leak. It was a Cuisinart 14 cup programable coffee maker. Used the new Calphalon coffee maker for about a week. While making a pot of coffee, there was this loud cracking noise. I checked the coffee maker and sure enough the warming plate ring had cracked. Seems to be a manufacturing defect since others have reported the same thing. Amazon replaced it and it should arrive today. Hope I have better luck with this one. Another problem I have is, that the carafe will not come clean. It has a brown film, from the coffee, that no matter how many times I wash it that haze is still there. Also, the carafe is very had to hand wash due to the pouring spot.Received the replacement coffee maker on Jan. 29th, 2024. Today is Feb. 11, 2024 and this morning while brewing a pot of coffee i once more heard a low crack and sure enough this coffee maker also cracked in the same place as the first one(the back rim of the warming plate. Not sure what I will do now. At least the carafe is able to come clean, unlike the 1st one.

Title: Quality Coffee Maker
Review: It's a step above your normal drip coffee maker for the home. Calphalon has made a quality coffee maker. The added warmer heating setup keeps coffee pipping hot after you've brewed it. It's great to use for entertaining in the home. The mesh filter saves you money on buying paper filters for your coffee maker. It's accurate in brewing quality and extracts my coffee well. The timer for the brew later feature is the best feature of this product. Would recommend to anyone!

Review: El filtro permanente en realidad es desechable acabe cambiandolo por uno generico.Otro inconveniente es que no tiene mecanismo de parado que si tienen otras cafeteras de su tipo.
