Title: Amazing for colicky babies
Review: I had an extremely colicky baby at birth. She screamed her head off day and night, was always constipated, gassy, projectile vomiting everywhere and generally unhappy. We went to the doctor and he told us she just had gas (well no duh!) and then told me to go off dairy for two weeks and if her symptoms improved that I would have to either stay off dairy or feed her formula. Well that was not ok with us, breastmilk is far better than anything else out there and a nursing woman needs dairy in her diet. We then called a naturopathic doctor who after I told her my child's condition immediately told me that she just needed probiotics to digest my milk (I was strictly nursing her). Well that was news to me, not understanding at the time about enzymes and gut flora. We gave her the 1/4 tsp dose the first day and by day two she was a completely different kid. She stopped screaming and finally pooped. She had been constipated for 10 days! She never had another problem again. She pooped regularly from then on, never vomited, and actually smiled and made happy sounds. It was truly a miracle. She was this monster for five months all because we and the basic medical profession had no idea about gut flora and how essential to your health and happiness it is. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a colicky baby. Give it a try for a few days and see the difference. I also recommend you learn as much as possible about gut flora and not from your mainstream medical society, go the alternative route.

Title: Product did not ship cold, Its states on the order that product ships Cold.
Review: This is a probiotic and it requires to be shipped cold from a refrigerated source. It was shipped in a plane bubble envelope, first class USPS mail, without any coldpack. Thus, denaturing the product and rendering it useless. This product cost twice as much via Amazon than direct cost from the Manufacture, Natren, who ships cold via 2 day air only at the beginning of the week to avoid wharehousing the product in the shipping process.This is what the company that produces the product says regards traveling with this product. HOW TO TRAVEL WITH NATREN PROBIOTICSWe suggest you take only the quantity of probiotics you will be using. A good guideline is to treat your live probiotics as you would a fresh dairy product for optimum probiotic benefits:Wrap the container containing your probiotic cultures in several layers of aluminum foil, and place in a sealable plastic bag to guard the live bacteria against moisture and light.Place in an insulated bag (for example, a lunch box) with a cold pack.Immediately upon arrival, transfer the probiotics to a refrigerator or keep in a cool, dark place such as in a closet or near an A/C unit.If the above guidelines prove too much to follow, you can also place the probiotic capsules (or probiotic powder) in a freezer-quality, sealable plastic bag and keep at the bottom of your purse or bag (not your pocket) and with you at all times until you reach a refrigerator.All recommendations for traveling with probiotic supplements are intended for temporary storage and maintenance of live probiotics, not long term.

Title: FIXED MY GRANDAUGHTERS COLIC
Review: instant relief for my grand daughter who is 2 months old. her mother was not able to nurse, and so using formula to feed her, and all she did was cry all the time. could not sleep longer than one hour, and her parents were up all night trying to help her. the Dr. prescribed and anti-acid, and all that did was make her even more miserable. we watch her 3 days a week, and started rolling her pacifier in this powder, and putting into her mouth before giving her the bottle. SHE LOVED IT!!! it was almost like she knew it was going to help her. after she swallowed some, we would roll the pacifier in it again, and again, and again, 4 - 5 times in her mouth and giving it to her before each bottle.SHE WAS A NEW BABY!!! her gas went away. stopped crying all the time and she started napping 2- 3 hours and SLEEPING ALL NIGHT LONG.if anyone else is experiencing issues with their babies similar to what out grand daughter was suffering thru, i strongly recommend using this product to help FIX THE PROBLEM.. THERE WERE NO HARMFUL SIDE AFFECTS, AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE, AND EVERYTHING THING TO GAIN.

Title: Great Product-Used for One Year-Be Careful About Shipping
Review: Vitacost is great, but this is a live enzyme product that shouldn't reach above 100 degrees or it basically becomes an expensive protein powder. Shipping said UPS, which would lead you to believe you'll receive the package at your door. I ordered the product during a cool snap in the weather, so as not to receive the product during really hot days, which would kill the enzyme in the product. Problem is, UPS farmed the shipment to the USPS (post office) when it arrived in town. Without my knowledge, the product was delivered to my locked mailbox down the street by the post office, not at the door by UPS like the tracking had said. Product sat in mailbox for a full day until I checked tracking and it said "Delivered". I went to the door, no package, went to the mailbox down the street, unlocked it and realized it had been delivered by the post office. Hello Vitacost, maybe items with a heat sensitivity should be flagged somehow to let people know that UPS doesn't always deliver to your door. If it had been a day like today, the product would be totally useless.

Title: Good product but buy it somewhere else not on Amazon
Review: I can't say enough about this probiotics. My daughter have been having it since she was 2 months old with her homemade formula.Things i love about it:-She havent had any digestive problems after starting homemade formula with this probiotics.-Amazing for colicky babies-She is very regular (poops everyday vs before she was constipated all the time)Why I don't buy it anymore on Amazon:-Probiotics need to be chilled for the bacteria not to die. Amazon does not ship with ice pack, so all you will be getting is dead bacteria.
