Title: Funny.
Review: Interesting to read such old stories and try tui get the humor. Different time so humor is hard to understand without understanding the culture and values of the day. Fun to read none the less.

Title: Awkward Kindle Edition
Review: I'm sure this book is chock full of great American humorous short fiction. However, my Go To menu produces a dimmed TOC option; hence, there is no Table of Contents. I will enjoy paging through, I suppose, but am tempted to see if I can take a screen shot of the Look Inside feature on Amazon so I don't have to. Curious about the different editions we seem to have. Looking forward to further elucidation. Read on!

Title: A view of 19'th century sensibilities
Review: The editor admits he collected not the funniest stories, but the best short stories that were humorous. There's not a lot of laugh out loud. (Mark Twain's Library of Humor has funnier stories.) However, if you want well formed stories, not a collection of jokes, this is a grand collection. The serious humorist should read this just to compare humor styles of the 19'th century with the 21'st. Some things stay funny, even when they are out of style.

Title: I hated it
Review: I read these kind of stories all the time, but this was really, really hard to read. There were so many complicated words, I barely understood it and it was DEFINITELY NOT FUNNY. It should be called 'Worst American Complicated Stories'. I read the first story, and it was so bad, I just flipped all the way to here. I would give this book 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001 stars. The only reason I would not give it 0 stars is because someone actually TRIED to write it. Do not get this book.

Title: Classic must read
Review: Tales to read over and over your entire life for their incredible authorship and entertainment. Worth studying for how to write an award-winning short story.Pico

Title: Strangely compiled
Review: This book was free on the kindle, so I can't really complain about it, but it definitely doesn't contain any of the stories I was hoping for. Decent for a free book, but nothing great.

Title: Mixed bag
Review: Here lies a collection of short humorous stories. However I want to caution you on something: This anthology is so diverse in style that you probably will not find all the stories funny or amusing. I have a feeling that a few will make you laugh, some will make you smile, some may even disappoint you. However at such a good price, it just may be worth your time.
