‘Feel-good, funny, uplifting… Will make you laugh out loud and leave you smiling from ear to ear.’ NetGalley ReviewerTwenty-nine-year-old Lily Buckley planned to be happily married and in her dream job by now. Instead she’s been single since being left at the altar three years ago, and works at her local paper, writing about giant vegetables at the village fete and a dog who looks exactly like Chewbacca. Not quite what she was dreaming of.So when Lily’s given the opportunity to write her own column it’s exactly what she’s always wanted – except what she has to write about. She has to do one thing every week that scares her. With encouragement from sexy colleague – and adrenalin-junkie – Christopher, Lily agrees. From sky-diving to haunted houses, Lily is going to be pushed to her limit. But Lily is hiding something – the thing that she fears the most of all…Ever since her heart was broken Lily has been afraid of falling in love again. Title: Beautiful Story of a Turning Point in a Woman’s Life
Review: This is a beautiful story about a woman who is left at the alter on her wedding day, and chooses to take charge of her life, so that she will never again fall prey to going along with another persons expectations of her. Three years later she is still shaken, not because she missed her fiancé, but because the event left her doubting her own ability to make competent life decisions. I so identified with the way a little encouragement at her workplace catapulted her to reveal the inspired and creative talent that she had always surpressed. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this story.....Lily’s character was vulnerable and had me cheering for a happy conclusion. Beautiful story, well written and memorable.

Title: Unimaginative contemporary romance. yawn
Review: I was looking for a weekend's light reading, but this is not even entertaining. A premise that could have produced a good read. I'll sum it up. A woman has a boring life and needs a wonderful, wonderfully nice, wonderfully attractive guy to make her all better. Luckily, a perfect man enters the picture and wow, it DOES make it all better. She's even cool enough for her mother to like her, now that she's doing cool challenges with this nice guy. No uncomfortable moments. No thinking required. yawn.

Title: Outstanding!
Review: I loved every page of this book. The story is so captivating and entertaining. Lily is dumped at the altar. From that moment on she is unsure of herself. When her job is in jeopardy, she knows she needs to save it. Not just her job but everyone's job . She can't let them close down the local newspaper. In comes Christopher, a man who is supposed to help transition the newspaper from a loser to a winner. He does so much more. Great story. Beautiful ending. Excellent writing. I just loved it.

Title: Reviews don’t match what I read
Review: The reviews of this book set me up for antipating a good read on a cold winter day. I snuggled In my favorite chair with my blanket and had a hot cup of cider at my side Unfortunately, I never found the humor. No laughs from me. It was okay but I would not necessarily recommend it to someone. I could empathize with Lily’s situation and was hoping for. . . Oh, I don’t know. Something to see humor in? But the storyline was predictable and I foretold the ending.Does anyone read the book before it is classified under romance and humor? Maybe the reviews for this book got attached to the wrong book

Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Genuinely laugh out loud in places and filled with wry observations about life and love, I found this tale about one woman's quest to push beyond her 'safe' zone to help save a struggling regional paper an uplifting antidote for stressful times. I think most people will relate to the central message that sometimes you have to face your fears if you want to get what you really need and, whilst romantic comedy is not everyone's cup of tea, I found the warmth and gentle tone throughout made a revitalising tonic one cold, dark weekend.

Review: I think everybody has fears in their life and this book addresses some of the fears that Lily has and how she overcomes them, falling in love along the way. I stayed up way too late reading this but left the finale for today. I would definitely read other books by this author. Now, off to work on my bucket list!
