He's always been the token gay best friend. Now, stuck between a warring bride and groom hurtling toward their one perfect day, he's finally ready to focus on something new: himself.
Domenic Marino has become an expert at code-switching between the hypermasculine and ultrafeminine worlds of his two soon-to-be-wed best friends. But this summer―reeling from his own failed engagement and tasked with attending their bachelor and bachelorette parties―he's anxious over having to play both sides.
The pressure is on. The bride wants Dom to keep things clean. The groom wants Dom to "let loose" with the guys. And Dom just wants to get out of this whole mess with his friendships intact.
But once the rowdy groomsmen show up at the beach house―including a surprise visit from the groom's old frat brother, handsome and charming PGA star Bucky Graham―chaos (and unexpected romance) quickly ensues. By the time Dom returns for the bachelorette party, he's accumulated a laundry list of secrets that threaten to destroy everything―from the wedding, to Bucky's career, to the one thing Dom hasn't been paying nearly enough attention to lately: his own life.
THE GAY BEST FRIEND IS:
"Filled with charm, hilarity, sweetness and swoon, The Gay Best Friend is an absolute MUST-READ." ―Lynn Painter, bestselling author
"Outrageously witty and incisive! The Gay Best Friend captures all the kinetic energy of a 90s Julia Roberts film and queers it. A perfect summer read that reminds us: putting yourself first should never be a second thought." ―Timothy Janovsky, author of Never Been Kissed

Title: Entertaining personal journey, and romance too
Review: The Gay Best Friend is an entertaining story about a man who is caught between his two best friends while they plan their wedding. Nicolas DiDomizio creates an entertaining story about one queer manâs tangled relationships with his closest friends, while he learns to care more about himself and what he deserves than what everyone else thinks.Domenicâs fiancée called off their wedding, but heâs still the best man in his friendsâ Patrick and Kateâs upcoming nuptials. Patrick is his childhood bestie, and he and Kate just click. But things begin to go wrong at the wild bachelor party with Patrickâs fraternity bros, including hottie PGA pro Bucky. Domâs always felt threatened by Buckyâs role in Patrickâs life, only this time some sparks fly between him and the outwardly straight golfer. But with Kate and Patrick pulling him in opposite directions and Dom just struggling to keep up with who knows which information, will he even make it to the wedding?I liked this book a lot, and even at times when Dom isnât particularly likable, I still want to give him a hug. It is his journey, and Bucky, Kate, Patrick and everyone else are all secondary to him, even when he continues to put what they think and feel first. His insecurities are the motivation for almost everything he does, and it takes a long time for him to realize that what he thinks is the status quo is actually a problem.Iâm always a fan of romance though, and I wish this book had just a bit more of it. But with the focus on Domâs journey, it makes sense that itâs just part of the bigger picture. Itâs actually unusual for me to be satisfied with a happily-for-now ending rather than a HEA, but in Domâs case, anything else would be disingenuous. He makes tons of progress, but his struggles arenât going to disappear overnight.I truly enjoyed The Gay Best Friend. Getting to know Dom, and seeing him balance all the different people in his life was fascinating. And watching him realize what he truly needs and deserves in his life is a treat. Nicolas DiDomizio is a new to me author, and I canât wait to read what he writes next.I voluntarily read and reviewed a gifted copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Title: Such a good/ fun read
Review: This book was jus to good to put down! Dominic walks the line of having to act str8 with his male friends and being extra gay with his female friends so well it reminded me of my self when I use to walk that line Because u want to to fit in with the guys and be one of the âboysâ so that no one can call u out or make u feel less than. But baby u get tired of walking that line and just want to be u. Specially when going through a break up u just want ur friends to be by ur side.

Title: constant drama (due to alcohol??)
Review: Perhaps I'm taking this book too seriously, but I think everyone in it would become less impulsive and a better communicator if they stopped drinking!

Title: Devoured this in 36 hours - INCREDIBLE!
Review: I honesty don't remember the last time I absolutely devoured a book like this. I could not put it down, and whenever I had to, I was still thinking about it. The story was beautiful and complex, the characters intriguing and real, and the writing smart, witty, and enticing. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would.

Review: What a roller coaster of friendships & romance but donât forget the drama of it all. Dom is stuck between his 2 best friends when the bride to be wants him to spy at the bachelor weekend heâs not comfortable. While also dealing with his own failed relationship & then falling for the grooms other closeted best friend.
