Title: The Oreck is Such a Wonderful Vacuum!
Review: This is our third Oreck upright vacuum. When I met my wife nearly 25 years ago, I had an Oreck that lasted over 20 years. She also bought one and it's still going strong today. We were looking to buy a second vacuum, in order to keep the old one on the second floor. I spent a lot of time researching different uprights with bags and the Oreck kept showing up in the top three on various lists. When I saw the price that Amazon had for it, I jumped on the deal. The vacuum is as powerful as ever, and works equally well on hardwoods or rugs. It's so light that it's easy to lift and vacuum the stairs with. And I love, love, love the long cord, which allows me to vacuum multiple rooms before I need to unplug it.Sure, you're going to miss some amenities, like hoses and extra attachments. And there is no retractable cord. But all I wanted was a good solid vacuum at a good price. It doesn't get much better than this.Thanks Oreck!

Title: Astounding machine!
Review: I just received the Oreck Commercial XL Upright Corded Vacuum Cleaner, Bagged Professional Commercial Pro and I'm thrilled. It unpacked and was assembled in less that 20 minutes. It is a no frills vacuum but it is so light that it virtually floats.Listen, I'm 67 and I've had Rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia for 20 yrs. In the last 10, vacuuming and sweeping have become nearly impossible. I used to sweep and vacuum my whole house in less than an hour but now it can take days to do the whole house. My back, neck, arms, and hips are in agony pushing around the Hoover I use. I saw this and the reviews and decided it was worth the actual bargain price. If you have mobility or pain issues, this might be a good choice for you.I used it today and didn't have to sit down after I did one room. It was effortless. It went from carpet to floor easily and picked up the pine pellet cat litter that had been dropped. The carpet looked as good as it does with the larger heavier machine.I really love it and it is small enough I don't have to store it in a closet but can put it next to the washing machine in the laundry room. I truly hope it continues to live up to what I saw with the first use.There are no attachments. I to just attach the handle and go. Even came with one bag, which is much larger than my Hoover bags. With 3 cats, I have to vacuum a few times a week but have not been able to do that. So, I need an effective machine. This seemed to do the job. Is it as good as my Hoover? I haven't done a comparison because I have to have someone else use it. It is almost impossible for me now. It will be relegated to the garage until I think I need it.I plan on buying the hand held machine next so I have the versatility of the attachments.

Review: I had my last Oreck for 21 years. So, of course when I broke it, I bought another. I broke my old Oreck, it didn’t break itself. The motor was still running strong. I had replaced a couple parts over the years, but once again, things that we broke … puppy chewed through power cord, etc.Okay, on to my review of my new one! I love it just as much and believe there is no other vacuum on the market that could keep up with pet hair in our home. We have three German Shepherds (very heavy shedders, over 100 lbs each) that live inside with us. We also have two twenty pound, long haired cats. I thoroughly vacuum with my Oreck daily, and run my robot vac in between.This new Oreck sucks the pet hair and sand (we live in rural Florida on dirt road and driveway) out of our rugs like a champ! People who are saying this is not like the old Oreck quality are mistaken. I used my old Oreck one day and this new one the following evening, and the new one is actually stronger! I vacuum so often, I know exactly how my rugs look after on pass with each.To address some other negative reviews -It’s not too loud! It’s equally as loud as any vacuum. If you want silence, use a broom. I prefer to vacuum all hard floors, as sweeping throws a lot of dust particles into the air to breathe, and I have dust allergies and asthma.As a side note to that, owning an Oreck has vastly improved my quality of life, as it vacuums so deeply. My asthma has been under control since owning one - 21 years.Another complaint I read is that the cord is too stiff and thick. Well, it’s a powerful vacuum, the cord needs to be heavy duty to be safe! And over time, it relaxes, making it quite easy to wrap.Other people are saying this vacuum is heavy! It’s not heavy at all. It only starts to get heavy with all the crap it pulls out of your carpets and off your floors - much more than other brands. You are only supposed to let the bag get about 1/3 of the way full before changing. And by that time, it contains quite a few pounds of dirt, dust, sand, hair, and whatever else.If my grandma self, with some physical disabilities can lift it, anyone can.And finally, I have read that the cord it too long. This was the most shocking because it’s something I always loved about my Oreck. I don’t have to change outlets as often. In my opinion, the long cord is a pro, rather than a con.I did wait a week before writing this review, and I will absolutely update it if, for some reason, things go south with my new Oreck.I also absolutely adore the patriotic colors! I hated to see my pretty yellow one go, I was very happy to not have to get plain gray. I also like that the bag on the new one is a dust proof material, unlike the old fabric ones. Great improvement!Unlike most people, I love vacuuming. I am sort of a vacuum connoisseur. I have tried out many other vacuums, as my adult daughters purchased them. They all own Orecks now, after going through lots of others.And I was older when I got my first Oreck, so had used plenty others in my life.Here is a test to do that originally sold me on my first one -Thoroughly vacuum your home with your old vacuum. Get the floors, carpets, and rugs to the place where you think there is nothing left down there. Put a brand new bag in your Oreck and go over it all again. You will be shocked at what comes out of a “clean” floor!

Title: Great vaccum
Review: This vaccum works great! Great suction. Easy to use. Lightweight. Easy to clean and change bag. I hate bagless vaccums because they lose suction and are nasty to clean. The only down side to this one is when putting away you can't wheel it away by leaning it back and when vacuuming you can't rub close against something sideways because it has rubber on the sides. It's just a matter of getting used to using it different than my other vaccum which was a canister. I love the bag filling from the top and the power cord is long. Has great power and suction!

Title: Powerful. yet, light.
Review: I absolutely love this vacuum cleaner. So very light, and powerful at the same time. Long cord which eliminates the constantly unplugging and re-plugging into a new socket. It cleaned hard surfaces and rugs without having to change the setting. Would definitely recommend this vacuum cleaner.

Like the headline says, I liked mine so much, I bought one for my elderly parents. I love the suction on this vacuum. It will get the majority of debris in one pass on carpet and tile. Makes the job of vacuuming a breeze. I also love the light weight, handle ergonomics and maneuverability. They don't make vacuum cleaners like this anymore. This one is built to last. I would recommend!!!

Review: I purchased this vaccuum approximately 2.5 years ago. It is used daily in a house with 2 large dogs that shed profusely and constantly track in sand in the winter. I have a 3,000 sq ft house with every flooring type. regular carpet, shag carpet, indoor/outdoor carpet, hardwood, concrete, tile, linoleum. Absolutely excellent performance on hard floors- most other uprights I've ever tried on hard floors shoot gravel etc around. This one rules. I use it in every room. This vacuum does it all, and it's lightweight to carry up the stairs. Bagged style is so convenient. Do not let the bag get full and support the bottom of it when removing. As you probably know, there are no attachments to this vacuum, therefore, if you want to be able to vacuum high areas like curtains etc, you will need something else. I actually pick the whole machine up and run it over my couch. We bought this because of ease of use. My old cannister had a lot of features but was a pain in the ass to use and lug around. This one is a breeze. Couple tips for you, especially for large carpeted areas.1. Because it is really lightweight, there is no massive motor that does all the work for you. This means there is a bit of an adjustment and it may feel hard to push at first. The trick is to line your pushing elbow up with your hip and don't overextend your arm. Walk forward 1-2 steps, then back. Don't extend your arm and push it way out far ahead of yourself.2. If the time comes that you DO suddenly think it feels hard to push, like it's taking undue effort- it needs a belt change. We have used this daily for 2 years before changing the belt for the first time. Because it's easy to use and works on every surface in my home, it gets used a LOT. Way better than a heavy "does everything" machine that you dread using.

Review: Although the product is being sold on amazon.co.uk it cannot be used in uk due to its USA plug. When asked to send an adapter they say that the manufacturer says it won't work. Returning the item was a nightmare, barcodes sent were incompatable at the DHL collection points. This happened twice, and the pick up they arranged didn't materialise. Very angry that they are allowed to sell this product on your website. Also very poor English from their service centre.
