Title: Perfect for composting kitchen scraps
Review: Assembly was a pain, but worth it.I live in a household of 4 adults. This product currently holds about 5 months worth of our kitchen compost (plus added brown material like shredded egg cartons) and we still haven’t filled up the one drum we started on because of how quickly the material breaks down and composts.The drum is not water tight, but I think that’s on purpose so that it can drain excess liquid and receive oxygen.My family really dislikes the lack of a crank. Turning the compost by touching the drum is kind of gross because of what drips out of the bottom and dries on the exterior. I don’t mind it though. Hand soap was invented for a reason.Our tumbler does not have any odor. I think it’s because we’re really good about rotating it a few days a week.If you have a huge yard and you want to compost a huge quantity of grass clippings and leaves, you might want to compost the traditional way. I recommend this product for kitchen scraps and small amounts of yard waste. But hey, these tumblers are pretty big. Material processes so quick in a tumbler that maybe you could compost a ton of yard waste in a few batches over time.Tips:Bugs in compost are normal, but if you notice too many bugs in your tumbler, add more brown material to dry up the environment and make it less friendly of a breeding ground.Remember to cut or rip your waste into leaf-sized pieces for faster composting results. Huge chunks break down slowly because they have less surface area for the good bacteria to eat and process.

Title: Took a bit to assemble
Review: I did it. I got it put together. The directions are on a QR code. They are easy to read and go through but it refers back to part numbers throughout the slides. To find the picture of the part you need using the part number, you have to scroll back through all the steps to get back to the key. Would be nice to have a picture along with the part number in the page that you need them for. Other than than the directions are easy to follow.Getting the sections to fit together snuggly was the difficult part. I had to use a rubber mallet and bang on the panels to get them to click in place. There were 2 places that just would not connect fully. So I had to get a crow bar out to finagle it from the inside. Not easy. But it is done. It turns easily, the doors open nicely, and looks pretty solid. I can't wait to fill it up.

Title: 2nd Miracle Gro Composter - Good Product & Service for Installation Parts Replacement Excellent!
Review: This is our 2nd Composter. The 1st one was 2 years old and was in great shape till we had our roof re-shingled. They dropped loads of shingles ont-op of the composter. In short we replaced it with the same model because we really liked the ease of use. The new one has slightly different clips, and two broke during assembly. The company was notified and sent me 4 clips within a week from my email to them. Excellent customer service! I would recommend!

Title: Poorly designed product with even worse assembly instructions
Review: Chinese finger puzzles at an arthritis clinic would cause less pain and frustration than assembling this product. Pieces need to snap together easily, efficiently, and once. The pieces are NOT designed to do this. The doors were warped like the starship enterprise! The numerous interlocking, interwoven vertical long tabs easily come out of their designated locations. The numerous interlocking tabs designed to snap/lock in to the drum ends are so insubstantial and require so much gentle persuasion to snap in to place that the long vertical interwoven tabs routinely came out of position during assembly. For the price of this product it is flimsy and does not feel like a quality product at any of its touch points. Worst part of all, this product does not EVEN come with IKEA like instructions. For the price of the glossy insert telling me to go somewhere else like to a computer, tablet, or phone to learn how to assemble this nightmare of a product, you could have included a single sheet of paper with a few IKEA like drawings on it. ADDENDUM: For the issue of the long vertical tabs coming out of joint or out of position, try using heavy duty Zip Ties/Cable Ties lieu of the clips to hold the drum together. If you can seat the ends of the panels into the barrel ends successfully, the only real structural integrity issue is keeping the barrel proper together. Under heavy use or a full condition, I would not trust the clips provided. The assembly hardware looks and feels cheaper than a Leisure Suit Larry dress coat. I plan to go to the hardware store to get replacement hardware before assembling it rather than repairing it when the hardware provided fails. I have one largely assembled and plan to use it only because disassembly and return would be an even worse nightmare. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT. Do some more research and then search for a high-quality used or bargain to fair priced tumbler of superior design.

Title: Brush off your degree in Engineering
Review: You will receive a large box of parts and pieces that don't look anything like the pictures along with no instructions for assembly. You will then begin the process of googling for instructions and finding references to pieces that look different and are flimsy and friable. For the money I would think instructions should come standard and the pieces would be made sturdy enough to withstand construction. Sadly, I am left disappointed and forced with the task of manufacturing replacement or repairing connector pieces.

Review: I am very concerned that it won't last! The plastic they use in the construction couldn't be any less sturdy in my opinion. Taking into account the material used the composter was somewhat of a challenge to assemble as the sides kept flopping around. If I had seen this in a physical store and could inspect it I would not have purchased it, having said that now that it is assembled I will keep and hope for the best.On the positive side it is very easy to turn.

Review: Good so far, I can’t speak to it’s effectiveness with composting yet cause it too soon to tell, however the size is good, turns without problems and feels sturdy. As for those people who say it was difficult to put together, the only way that is the case is if they didn’t follow the online step by step guide with pictures they provide the link for. Those instructions were so easy that often I had to skip “steps” because I already did it before they showed the next picture. Don’t download the “printable instructions”- they were not helpful.

Review: This unit will work OK for someone with a small garden its not really large enough for anyone with an average to large garden producing grass and plant clippings. Its made of plastic parts that clip together , time will tell how sturdy these are after being in the sun for a while. The instructions in the box are to redirect you to their website where they have a good video for the assembly. There is a brake type handle to secure the barrel part from rotating, which broke as soon s their was weight in the container, totally useless. It sort of works with out it, but just not well made. Overall it'll work for now but I can see myself making a bigger better one next season.
