Title: Faberware 6qt pot
Review: LOVE THIS POT. PERFECT SIZE FOR CHILI, GOULASH, cooking a whole chicken for and noodle soup, making stock etc. Cooking a pot roasts, pork roasts or ham. Or a larger portion of something for a gathering. Great stability, performance, heat distribution, and the handles are nice and off the burner heat! Light weight. Not heavy except when full of fluid. Perfect for cooking spaghetti or lasagne noodles, a whole cabbage or pot of collard greens!

Title: Good quality pans
Review: I love this brand and style. I’ve used them for decades and they heat evenly and are good sturdy lifetime use pans. I just purchased these for my daughter and fully expect to hand down mine to her some day.

Title: Pot arrived, put in service immediately, I love it
Review: I ordered this pot because the 7 ply one I have is way too heavy for me to pick up when it has anything in it and has a "squared off" top edge which makes it impossible to pour out of even if I could pick it up.A few months ago I ordered the Farberware Classic Stainless 3 quart sauce pan and love the fact that is is light weight, has a rounded edge on top, cooks evenly and works perfectly on my ceramic cook top. SO it was logical to order the same thing in the 6 quart soup/stew size. The day this pot arrived I immediately washed and dried it and made a batch of stew. It is a very nice pot. It is medium weight, but I can still pick it up when it is half full of food or liquid. Like its little sister, the 3 quart sauce pan, it cooks evenly and works perfectly on my ceramic cook top.The next morning I made a batch of almond milk. Although I actually make the milk in my blender, I strain the liquid through a nut milk bag into this pot and am able to pick up the pot and tip it to pour my 2 quarts of homemade milk into jars without spilling any down the sides. This is great!I only wish I had ordered a complete set of these Farberware Classic pans 2 years ago instead of the horrendously expensive 7 ply set that I bought at that time. I do like them so very much even though they are no longer made in the US.

Title: The pan I received required a lot of extra cleaning
Review: I got this 6 qt dutch oven yesterday and immediately washed it well with hot soapy water then of course dried it with a soft dish towel. I always rub coconut oil in the bottom of any stainless steel. When doing this I noticed a black residue on the paper towel. This morning I decided to try my new piece and make my famous beef stew. Because there was this residue yesterday I decided it would be a good idea to boil some water in this pan before using it. After boiling water for 15 minutes drained the water and wiped pot with another dish towel, and then rubbed some coconut oil on the bottom and sides. Again there was this black stuff on my paper towel. I thought I'm going to send this pan back, but instead called Fabraware Company and talked to a lady about what was coming off the bottom and sides of the pan. She couldn't quite understand why this would be happening. So asked a question if anyone else has noticed this. The company replied that it was probably some polishing compound and not to be concerned. Well I'm not sure if this is made in China or the US; but I sure did not want to be eating food from this pan until this problem was or could be solved. Especially if this thing was made in China. So I boiled half white vinegar with half water for 20 minutes and then drained the pan. Then got out my Bar Keepers Friend and went all over the inside of the pan and and washed and rinsed again. Then rubbed coconut oil on the bottom and sides and the black residue was gone. So I made my stew by first browning the beef dredged in flour.. To my amazement it worked fantastic, no stick and browned nicely. Then finished adding the rest of my ingredients, and this pan worked fantastic. I have a glass cooktop and never turned the heat above medium. It was one of my best stews. I have all Vintage Revere Ware except for this piece. Never have seen black residue come from any stainless steel cookware before.. This is the reason I gave this a 4. We'll see how it holds up in the long run. But I do take extra care with all my stainless steel cookware. Guess I'm a neat freak, for everything has to be shinny and clean. Will update later on after I've used this pan, but so for other than the residue it seems to be a nice piece and cooks well. The handles got somewhat warm but not hot. Love the feel of the pan and the bottom seems very nice. It's not flimsy, not too heavy. Hope it holds up; if so then it will be a keeper.

Title: Farberware continues it's history of excellence
Review: 6 qt stock pot.. At first I thought about returning. I bought it to replace my 8 qt stock pot, which is just too big for me now. But the 6 qt is within 2 inches of the 8 qt. However mr 8 qt is too large to store, so this 6 qt is a keeper. Matches my vintage Farberware perfectly. It's great when a manufacture sticks to it's original design for generations. One thing I like too is that farberware is relatively affordable compared to newer brands. I now have 5 pieces + a covered frying pan, so that makes 6. I have another one on the way. (a single handle 2 qt sauce pot . Each pot I have is 2 handled and can be challenging to pour from. So I ordered a single handle coming this week for easy pouring. My original 8 qt was my Mother's that she gave to me OVER 30 years ago, and I have added to the set over time. Glad its still the same design. Always easy to clean even with an accidental burn. Vinegar and baking soda is all it takes to get burned gunk off. Burning a pot is one of the evils of Face Book LOL. But thank goodness Farberware is designed to survive. Over 30 years of farberware products and going strong.

Review: You can't beat the quality and value of Farberware! This is heavy, easy to clean and everything cooks to perfection in this pot. Our last set lasted over 30 years. No toxic coatings to worry about. I'm so pleased with this purchase!

Review: After about a month, I would say I love my new pot; retains heat well, the finish is great and I have had no food sticking to the bottom. I have not had the chance to test its durability or build quality as that comes with time. Overall 41/2 stars at this point
