Title: Heavy Duty and Beauty to Keep a Sharp Edge
Review: After reading many reviews about traditional knife blocks and how they are not good to keep a sharp edge, I was excited about switching over to the on-the-side knife block that will take better care of my sharp edges. This looks very pretty and is super solid. It doesn't move around easily and you don't have to worry about bumping the block out of place when moving knives on/off the block. It holds eight of my favorite knives pretty easily, and I'm just getting used to seeing them out in the open and retrieving them carefully with a twist and pull. It's not a bad thing, though, and I've gotten compliments on it from my friends who didn't even know such a thing existed.

Title: Magnets are too weak
Review: This is a beautiful block, but it can barely hold up my 5in and 6in Damascus knives. I really hate this fact. One of my knives slid all the way down to the counter. I tried multiple placements. At $80, I shouldnât have to worry about this kind of issue. If your knives have a good âedgeâ on the handle, you can easily rest that on the top of the block. Mine have a rounded edge.

Title: strong magnet. maybe holds 8 knifes...
Review: I have mixed feelings about this knife block... it is nice if you have low cabinets because you can just take your knife off vs pulling it up and out. BUT the block does not twist...so getting the back knife is hard. The magnet is very strong and it does hold my large cutting knifes very well. Like..I am not worried about them falling off or being bumped off honestly. It is strong. But I think it only comfortably holds 8 knifes max.. even if they are smaller. It is still a little weird getting the middle knife.Nice block and looks great! Just wish it had some improvements.

Title: Beautiful, tall knife block
Review: This knife block is both beautiful and functional. It looks great on the counter. The acacia wood works well in our kitchen and the imposing block showcases large knives. It works well. It can easily handle 8 knives and they hold securely without being annoying to remove. It is tall enough for large knives. Note that the blade should be flat against the block.I have only one issue with this block. It is too tall to fit under my cabinets in this kitchen. (Please see the attached picture.) This would be an issue in most kitchens. If you plan to store your knives under your cabinet, there may be a better knife block for you. Otherwise, it is a beautiful addition to a kitchen.

Title: Incredibly HEAVY
Review: Yes, I expect magnets to be heavy-ish, but this block is shockingly heavy, considering that the magnets only go about 1/3 of the way down.I have another magnetic knife block shaped more like a curved fan, and it's easily 1/4 the weight with magnets that extend the full length of the block. The wood looks great, and in our kitchen we have high ceilings and lots of room below the cupboards, so the block fits easily with all the knives on it.Tip for removing knives from a strong magnet: TWIST the handle to turn the blade away from the magnet, then it will be easy to pull free - no need to pull UP to remove them under short cabinets.

Title: Nice heavy block that holds knives well
Review: The block is larger and heavier than I thought it would be, but looks nice on my counter. From the top half of the block, it's magnetic so metal knives stick to the sides. I'm using this with both smaller and larger knives, all of which are staying well attached to the block. My suggestion is to put the knives on the block with the handles touching the top, as it looks to hold a bit better. Much nicer than putting knives in a slot in the standard wooden block.

Title: Ehhhhhh
Review: The magnets are strong for me, that isn't an issue. The thing is that I was going to use it to hold items other than knives in the bathroom. The magnets only go 1/3 of the way down from the top so most of the space is not magnetically useable. So it is in my kitchen holding steak knives...I fit 5 on a side with no problem and holding strong.

Title: Show off your blades
Review: This knife block is easy on the eyes. Its heavy and has rubber feet to prevent it from moving around. The magnet is strong and holds knives firmly in place. The best feature for me is now I donât have to play the guessing game pulling knives from a block to pick the right one. Now I can see every blade. The wood is beautiful. Definitely high quality and good value.
