Title: Beautifully versatile
Review: I've often admired Dutch Ovens in magazine pictures of kitchens. So when this one was on sale during Amazon Prime Days, and in a beautiful blue color that would pop in my kitchen, I had to order it. It's cast iron with a ceramic coating. It's heavy-duty and has a good fitting lid. It's made to be used on the stove or in the oven, or to go straight from the stove and into the oven! The first time I used it was to make baked beans. After a few hours of cooking, the inside of the pot was all brown and splattered and I thought "oh no, what have I done? I've ruined my new pot!: But lo and behold, that ceramic coating made clean-up a breeze - everything wiped off and the inside was as good as new! I use this Dutch Oven often enough that I don't really need space in the cabinet to store it because it's so versatile, and it's beautiful so I don't mind seeing it on my stove even when it's not being used. There are more expensive Dutch Ovens but if you're like me and just getting introduced to them, this one is a good one to start with.
