Title: Easy to read and a helpful reference for exercise at home
Review: This book is exactly what I was looking for!The author provides a very good explanation of the core body muscle groups, the benefits to seniors of having an exercise routine and how to do it in just a few minutes a day. Each exercise is, rated for difficulty, illustrated and clearly explained. Several daily routines are provided and there is even an example of daily tracking form. When I was much younger, in high school and then in the military, I routinely did things with my body that I took for granted. I ran, did calisthenics, lifted weights, played sports, etc. Now, at 53 years old, I have noticed many changes in my body that are limiting how I live. The demands of work and family and just a typical busy life, have resulted in me neglecting the exercise time I once enjoyed as a matter of routine. Now my joints are stiff, I’m overweight, and I have aches and pains much more than I use to.I’m certain that the simple exercises described in the book and the routines provided will help. An added bonus is that most of the exercises do not require any equipment at or maybe just a chair. I have a gym membership where I go to use the treadmill or elliptical, but I can do all these excises in my home in just a few minutes.I believe this book has helped me because now I have a ready reference that my wife and I can use as a foundation for building our own excise routines together.I recommend this book for any middle aged or senior person who is interested in getting back some flexibility and endurance.

Title: Use It or Lose It
Review: After leaving the military after 20 years, I slacked off on exercise routines. Years passed by, and the inches and pounds increased. After 50, I would wake up with aches and pains and could not remember how I had hurt myself. A simple bending over to pick up something would result in days of back pain. Does this sound familiar?"The 12-Minute Workout" stands out due to its all-inclusive nature. Gordon addresses the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of exercise for seniors - emphasizing how a healthier and happier lifestyle is within their grasp. He understands the challenges associated with aging, such as reduced movement strength or flexibility, and offers simple solutions without costly medications or equipment purchases. This book offers clear exercises and routines, making them simple for readers to incorporate into their daily lives. Gordon uses descriptive and formal language, making the content accessible and educational. No matter who the reader may be - whether a senior looking to enhance their well-being or someone looking for a valuable gift idea for a loved one; "The 12-Minute Workout" would make an excellent resource.Fans of exercise, yoga, and Pilates will find this book an invaluable asset in their fitness library. Gordon's focus on core strength, balance, and confidence aligns perfectly with the principles of these disciplines and makes this an excellent companion for those currently engaging with these practices.

Title: Great Book for Seniors
Review: This book provides a complete list of exercises to strengthen the body’s core (abdominal and surrounding muscles) and the many reasons those exercises are beneficial to one’s health - including pain relief, weight maintenance, cardio benefits and mental outlook. It also emphasis the importance of warming up/stretching before getting into the exercises and gives a multitude of both stretching and strengthening exercises. And all with pictures to make things clearer. What is also very nice is that the book provides several sample routines that one can start with and accomplish within 12 minutes and invites the reader to start making up his/her own routines when they get more familiar with the options available. All in all a complete book for seniors who want to become more flexible, stronger and alleviate some of the normal aches and pains that come with getting older.

Title: Whew! Great workout that can be an easy or hard as you want it
Review: Well, I tried all the stretches and exercise in the book, and I can tell you, just because it says its for seniors doen't mean you have to go easy. The author does a great job with illustrating and explaining the exercises, and he also rates them from easy at one star to hard at three starts. I also love that he includes routines, and references. Highly recommend!

Title: Nothing new here. Any exercise book will give sames set.
Review: In all honesty, I was hoping for something tailored to senior citizens. Thus is a standard beginner workout book with a misleading name. Doesn't deal with how to train the body from low mobility to higher mobility. Very disappointing

Title: Straight forward and practical
Review: This is a well organized, straight forward book. The various stretches and exercises are clearly described and demonstrated. The variety of stretches and exercises is impressive. The firm, but not overbearing encouragement is particularly appreciated.

Review: The positives: A lot of exercises to chosen from and all with images and descriptions so that you can follow along as you train. The negatives: I downloaded the ebook but there were several totally blank pages for some reason (this may have been my device to be fair). Also even though they are clear and legit, many of the exercises are not core focused. I also feel that quite a few of the exercises are not suitable for seniors (unless they are already a regular gym goer) such as spider plank crunches.
