Title: Worth the Money
Review: I am familiar with Bob Warden from QVC. (Note: this book is less expensive on Amazon than QVC.) In typical Bob Warden fashion, these recipes are fast and easy. I have had time to try several recipes and have had to adapt my times somewhat because I have a different pressure cooker with pre-set times. That only involves cooking for a little longer than in the cookbook. You probably would not need to adjust the cooking time if your pressure cooker does not have pre-set functions and times. These are the family type recipes that would be good whether you are a family of one, a couple or a busy parent or two who needs to get something on the table fast after working hard all day. There are no unusual ingredients in the recipes so you could easily pick out your recipes for the week and pick up the items you need when you do your grocery shopping. If you are new to electric pressure cooker type cooking and are looking for some guidance and recipes, this is a great book to start with. In fact, this may be the only book you'll need because the recipes are so varied and easy you could adapt any of them to use different ingredients.I highly recommend this book.

Title: Bob was right.
Review: I have watched Bob Warden on QVC going on and on about pressure cookers. I really didn't believe they were as wonderful as he said. Then I bought one. I really like it! I also purchased, at the same time, Bob's books, Slow Food Fast and Great Food Fast. So far I've only used the first one, I'm kind of new at this and both things I made came out really delicious. I made the chicken cacciatore first and then the roast beef this past week. The chicken was tender and moist and the roast beef was great. The vegetables, carrots and potatoes, were perfection after only five minutes. I can't wait to try the rest of the recipes. I live alone, so I divide the meat up into separate dishes and freeze it to make my own TV dinners.I'm doing the macaroni and cheese and then the Asparagus Risotto later this week. I agree that he could have given a little more information about the size jar to use, but I guess it's trial and error. All in all, I think it's a great book and I'm sorry I didn't buy a pressure cooker a long time ago. I've looked at many other books to see if I would like them, but they all seem to be for stove top pressure cookers. I'm sure the recipes would be good in an electric pc, but I think I'll wait until I'm very familiar with what I have. I surely won't starve with the two books I have already. Good job Bob!

Title: perfect for those that want it on the Table FAST and Good !!
Review: well I had seen many reviews re this book in other sites and couldn't' wait to get my hands on it and I was NOT disappointed..1. First is a large format book.. so you don't have to strain your eyes to read tiny ingredient lists2. Second LOTS AND LOTS of lovely full page PICTURES... I love cookbooks w Pictures3. Third Clear easy to follow direction with NORMAL ingredients that one might find in your own home today4. Fourth FAST.. nothing is a long drawn out process and lots of prep... the longest thing to make is a roast and the prep is like less than 5 minutes and the pressure cooker does all the hard workI love that Bob adds some personal idea's along with the recipe.. for example he has a recipe for a roast and he said after it is cooked to take it OUT of the pot and then while it is at rest before cutting it to add more veggies into the pot and cook them for like 2-3 minutes in the mean time the roast is ready and now you have the veggies all fresh and not mushed up and over cooked... Of course some of you may have figured that out but for the rest of us it was a Lightbulb Moment !! The book has the expected soup to desserts and one thing he put in that I am anxious to try is some of the sauce recipes... I am making the Penne Alla Vodka tonight.. yum....Made the Redskin Potato Salad with Dill yesterday. Nice surprise for dinner last night with our Grilled burgers..Going to do one of the Cheesecakes this weekend.. Oh I can't wait Now you need to know I have loads of cookbooks .. and this is one NICE BOOK... I started right in making a few things as soon as I read the book through.. and have made a shopping list to make some additional meals later this week.... I have company coming in a few weeks I will be cooking up a storm but only for a few minutes it take for the pressure cooker to do it Magic....Thanks Bob.. Another Good job

Title: MUST HAVE BOOK FOR DIGITAL PC RECIPES
Review: I bought my first pressure cooker 6 months ago, a Wolfgang Puck 5 QT. Digital one. I have bought several books, and read lots of recipes online. Most people seem to think that we digital PC'ers can figure out how to adapt regular stove top pressure cooker recipes to a digital one and sorry, but most of us DON'T undertand how to do it. So, like others I was limited in what I could make and things were trial and error, with lots of error, even using the book that came with the PC. I saw Bob's demo for his book on QVC and ordered it and have to say it's THE book to have if you have a digital PC, no matter the brand! The recipes are so simple and all that I have made turned out pefectly. Maybe once I have mastered all his recipes I might take on some stove top recipes and try to adapt them, but this book is all you need to get cooking with that PC you have sitting in a corner that might be intimidating you! Great purchase and am looking forward to a new PC book by Bob later this Summer.

Title: It's a cookbook, nothing great
Review: I was really looking forward to getting this because I have three pressure cookers, all different sizes. The recipes are good, some are ok. The reason I gave it only four stars is because it doesn't state what size cooker to use for which recipe and it doesn't give any nutritional information for each recipe. I also like to have a picture of each recipe and this book doesn't have that. So, it's ok. The fonts are a good size, no squinting to read it. The recipes are easy to follow and they use basic ingredients. Bob writes some good information about the different pressure cookers and has some good "hints" throughout the book. It's worth the money.
