A husband’s disappearance links two couples in this twisty thriller from the New York Times bestselling author of Local Woman Missing, Mary Kubica
Jake Hayes is missing. This much is certain. At first, his wife, Nina, thinks he is blowing off steam at a friend’s house after their heated fight the night before. But then a day goes by. Two days. Five. And Jake is still nowhere to be found.
Lily Scott, Nina’s friend and coworker, thinks she may have been the last to see Jake before he went missing. After Lily confesses everything to her husband, Christian, the two decide that nobody can find out what happened leading up to Jake’s disappearance, especially not Nina. But Nina is out there looking for her husband, and she won’t stop until the truth is discovered.

Title: WOWâ¦..
Review: I have passed by Mary Kubicaâs books over and over again in favor of others, but after reading this one (my first by her), thatâs a mistake I wonât make again!Reading thrillers like this one is one time in my life I actually prefer to be wrong, because itâs no fun if you figure it out too quickly, right? The final big twist in this one was a possibility in my mind, but not so obvious. The red herrings she threw in were very effective! As a side note, I also appreciate this authorâs expansive vocabulary. I have sufficient vocabulary skills myself, and I found myself looking up several words - maybe Mary Kubicaâs books are good for you! ðGreat story, so many super cool twists, very well written with great character development and so many intricate details. Truly entertaining from start to finish. This author is now officially in my roster of go-to authors to explore. Great book!

Title: Superbly written!
Review: This one seriously kept me guessing. It was extremely well written (instead of the maddening format of some thriller novels these days.) Everything is tied up neatly at the end. Fantastic book, def recommend.

Review: I found this novel to be one that is enjoyable and easily put-downable which is great when, like me, you prefer to read a few bits at a time, then look forward to picking it up when time permits. I thought it to be well crafted and well edited. Light hearted for a murder mystery, and I would highly recommend providing that is what you are anticipating.

Review: This is a fast paced story that keeps you guessing til the end. I really became engrossed in the world of Nina and Lucy and thought the characters were really well written. I was disappointed with the conclusion, I thought it was a bit rushed, but overall a really good read.
