Title: Printed version in weak black and white
Review: I bought the printed version for my wife, and the images and print are in weak black and white. From the Amazon "Look inside" feature, the pictures of the crème brûlée were in bright colors; seems a bit misleading. The recipes are good, but disappointed by the quality of the paperback version.

Title: Lots of recipes, but it's a little lackluster
Review: This cookbook is a bit weird. The intro and closing remarks are truly strange and don't read like a cookbook (not to mention the typos). Some of the recipes were great, like the traditional creme brulee. Some are a little weak (e.g., the raspberry brulee is really just a regular creme brulee with raspberries on top). The serving sizes aren't consistent across the book, and I've tried 7 recipes so far. Overall, despite the number of different brulee recipes, I found the recipes lacked creativity, and lacked some of the flavor promised by the the amounts of the necessary ingredients (for example, the amount of bourbon necessary for the pecan bourbon brulee doesn't really come through).

Review: This is clearly just the Kindle version printed out in black and white. The book is A5 and the pictures take up a quarter of the page - not the book for flicking through for inspiration.
