Title: Great machine!
Review: I retired from the sign business after 35 years and purchased one of the very first vinyl cutting computers in the state of Florida in 1983. It cost 16K. This plotter is far better than the Gerber 4A was! It is so versatile, fast, and accurate. The software is a little clunky but does the job. I believe this is because it does so many other things that a dedicated sign computer can't. I highly recommend the Cricut Maker 3.

Title: Seamless unboxing process, efficient packaging
Review: I loved that I bought this through amazon. The first machine i got sounded a bit whiny, and only loaded the mat correctly every other attempt to load. I contacted cricut and they confirmed that they believe the machine to be the problem, right out of the box.They then advised me to jump through a lot of documentation hoops to apply for a replacement machine through them, and then wait up to 3 weeks for a new machine.I told them that i would just return to amazon instead. I had the machine by the afternoon of the next day, and the old one sent back for a refund.So pleased with the process, and that i went with amazon instead of buying through cricut. What woul we do without Amazon’s customer service and return policy!!

Review: Cricket is one of the best crafting products they have on the market me and my family enjoy it cost is a little high but worth it for the amount of crafting that can be done and used if looking to start your own personal business it looks great clean easy to understand fast but keep in mind of where you want to use it might want to get a stand with it or have a work station dedicated for it it can fit on the desk easily but putting it in its own space works out best

Title: Bare minimum included.
Review: I would give it 5 stars if it included more for the price. Otherwise arrived in one day and was quick and easy to setup. Had no issue connecting via bluetooth to my Samsung Ultra 23 and Dell XPS 13 Plus with Snapdragon. Seems to work fine so far. I had read that Cricut is notorious for malfunctioning very quickly so I opted for the extra insurance for 3 more years.It would have been nice to include some basic tools and mats. All that it came with was one half sheet of smart removable vinyl, a sheet of smart permanent vinyl, a sheet of smart iron on vinyl all in black, a sheet of transfer paper, a sheet of Smart Parper sticker cardstock and the fine point cutting tool already installed. A power cord and an adapter cord to connect to a PC. Which isn't compatible with my laptop, so basically useless.Otherwise so far so good.

Title: Not "Macaroni Art"
Review: I have seen Cricut products in the store for years and have always written them off as the latest "trend" in crafting products aimed at stay-at-home-moms looking to earn a little pin money. I assumed like so many of the gadgets aimed at this audience that the machine would produce an inferior quality product: the adult equivalent of "macaroni art". Sure mom might put it on her fridge but nobody is going to pay you to make them a piece of macaroni art... Right?Well, after watching some YouTube videos and seeing the Cricut recommended as a solution to a particular crafting need, I decided to try one. If it totally bombed and did not work as promised, I was confident that Amazon would allow me to return it and I wouldn't even have to leave my house. Heck, they even split it into payments. Why not?One I received the product, it was pretty simple to unbox, set up and make my first cut using the included sample material. There isn't much included in the way of sample material, but I had things on hand that I already knew I wanted to cut with the machine anyway (which is why I bought it). It took about seven or eight attempts to get my first cut perfect, but to be fair I'm using a material / blade and settings which are not "out of the box" and I expected that it would take some trial and error to get it right. But now that I have that part figured out? I'm able to make perfect cuts on my material every single time.Attached is a little sample project I made from 10mil mylar (also purchased on Amazon). The pattern cut into the material is a 10x10 in image taken from the Cricut Access library. It's every bit as nice as something mass produced that I would have bought in store.Now I'm starting to think of other ways I can use this machine...Despite my initial doubts, I've been turned into a believer. This machine does not produce "macaroni art".

Review: I tried backing the veneer, using transfer tape, applying PVA glue to the veneer to harden it, and any time it was cutting something less than about about 1/2 x 1/2 inch, the veneer would come off the strong mat and the blade would catch on the wood and tear pieces. A brand new deep cut blade did the same thing. Even some larger areas were cut with ripping so adjacent pieces were ruined. I tried all this with various types of veneer wood and got similar results. If you can handle the toxic smoke, I would suggest a laser cutter for veneer.
