Sweetpea is coming home at last…
Newly married, with a loving family surrounding her, everything's coming up roses for ex-serial killer Rhiannon Lewis, right?
Wrong.
Her husband has just been shot, and the daughter she left behind in the UK is desperately ill. She’s got no choice but to flee the States and return home, back to her roots, where she’s in danger of being recognised and arrested at any moment.
Only nothing is quite as it seems…
With a series of bad choices in front of her, and the authorities right behind, Rhiannon's in a hell of a hole and she needs to dig herself out of it pronto. But help can come from the most unlikely places. And even more unlikely people…

Review: Absolutely loved C J Scuse Sweetpea series. This is the 5th book and before starting it went back and re-read the previous 4. It's hard to dislike a serial killer who targets sex offenders and those that would harm children. The blend of humour throughout makes for an engaging read. Haven't finished this book yet as want to make it last. Have recommended it to friends who feedback their enjoyment of the series.

Review: I have read all 5 books in succession. I read a lot of books but these are just amazing. Much darker than the series and funnier. Although the author deserves a series and fame. Read them if especially if like me you have a darker side and people piss you off on a daily basis. Just thoroughly enjoyed on every level. JS Skuse you are a genius and thank you for persevering and getting published .

Review: I haven't seen the TV series (mainly because I don't have a TV!), but I gather it's been too toned-down. CJ Skuse's writing is brutally honest - so much so I found myself rooting for Rhiannon even though she's a serial killer. But she has PURPOSE. It's NOT random. But things do work out; there's a surprising twist I never saw coming, and the Bad Seeds are still supporting her for various reasons: wannabes, suck-ups...and victims. An excellent end to an excellent series, and it ends the way such a story should.

Review: Having avidly awaited the final book in this series I was really disappointed. The storyline was dragged out and almost felt like it was a means to an end to get the last storyline sorted and put away. Not a patch on any of the Sweatpea series of books.
