Title: Lots of healthy slow cooker recipes with a range of modifications!
Review: This cookbook includes a wide range of healthy slow cooker recipes for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. The recipes all use whole, unprocessed ingredients and can be modified to meet any dietary restriction or food allergy limitation. I also like that the author gives clear instructions on how to double the recipes for use in a 4-quart slow cooker, so I don't have to go out and buy a smaller slow cooker! (Double the ingredients, but only increase liquids by half.)The beginning of the book includes lots of great tips on choosing a slow cooker, storing ingredients so that they'll stay fresh, using your slow cooker properly, and more. The back of the book includes recipes for 14 quick and easy sides to serve with the slow-cooker meals. IMy only critique is that the book does include photos of recipes. The reason I tend to like cookbooks better than online recipes is that they usually include beautiful photos of the food. I wish this book included them. Other than, it's a wonderful cookbook!I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Title: One of my favorite kitchen gadgets is our slow cooker/crock pot
Review: Itâs almost the time of year for when we use our slow cooker all season long! One of my favorite kitchen gadgets is our slow cooker/crock pot. Iâve always been amazed by some of the recipes that weâve done or have seen. There are so many I want to try and this is great source of some healthy recipes. The recipes are very easy to read. I love that there is a designated section for the ingredients, instructions along with the nutritional information. What I love even more though is the notations of âbenefitsâ ie. Gluten free, allergy friendly, etc; that is a great resource for folks who are allergic to certain things or who are tolerant of certain diets. My brother-in-law suffers from Celiac Disease so this will be perfect for cooking for him.We are two person household so this is definitely ideal! This is a great recipe book whether you live or want to try living a healthier lifestyle. I will definitely be implementing some of these recipes for the upcoming cold weather!I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Title: Needs a few improvements to be a great cookbook.
Review: Well, the positive on this book is: 1. healthy recipes. 2. Cooking for 2- which is very difficult to find.3. Nutritional values. Very important when trying to eat healthy. But there are a couple of things that really need improving. First- if you are going to cook in a slow cooker for 2 people, you REALLY need a slow cooker for 2 people. Using one of the larger ones does not do very well in cooking. i happen to have one, and tried the recipes both ways. The smaller cooker absolutely works better! #2: Where are the pictures? If I use a cookbook, the first thing I look for are pictures, so I can see what the recipe is supposed to look like, and if it looks appetizing enough for me to want to make. No pictures is a BIG downfall for me. Overall, I found this cookbook to be just OK. Add pictures. It will be a huge bonus!

Title: Help!
Review: Help! I really need this cookbook to work. I bought this and a small slow cooker for me and my elderly father who is now on his own cooking for himself. He wants to eat low fat, low sodium meals. By the time dinner time comes,he is too tired to cook. I was hopeful with this cookbook, since he is more energetic in the morning to put something together. I made two recipes, and they turned out awful. Followed all instructions. I made herbed wild rice, bacon and cherries, page 122-total mush. Lemon and herb barley risotto, page 123-better but still mushy. Any tips? Could it be my slow cookers? I bought 1.5 quart Cooks brand at Penneyâs.

Review: Received my cookbook yesterday; love all the recipes and visuals, am sure the food will taste amazing. The situation, however, is that I am single, live with my only two-year-old son (who has his own food for being a feline), and I bought a 7qt slow-cooker because all I thought about was to cook twice per week and have all my meals covered.Where do I go from here? Help anyone?Cheers

Review: The recipes look good, lots of variety. The instructions are easy to follow. We have made three recipes so far with mixed results. The pot roast meat turned out tender and delicious but the vegetables were very undercooked. I will pre-cook them or do them separately in future. The first recipe I made was Cinnamon Raisin oatmeal and it was dreadful. I did not have steel-cut oatmeal so I used g-f sprouted oatmeal instead. Not sure if that can account for the outcome. Finally I made the stuffed chicken breasts which turned out well. I'm going to stick with it as I purchased this book for cooking while traveling in our RV.
