Review: This book was loaded with suggestions to make a cruise more enjoyable, and far more reliable than asking questions on a site.I've cruised eleven times, looking forward to number twelve later this year. The best suggestion she made is read and do your own research.Ideally enjoyed the packing ideas also.

Title: Quite good, but better editing would help.
Review: There is a lot to like about this book, and I would absolutely recommend it for anyone thinking about cruising. The author has a wonderful, lively style and there are a bunch of useful tips, many of which I hadn't seen before. That said, occasionally the same tip is presented multiple times, in one case essentially on the same page. I counted three (maybe four) mentions that bar and spa receipts always have a tip included. It's a useful thing to know, but I got it the first time. There are a fair number of minor spelling, formatting and grammar issues, but they didn't hurt my enjoyment of the book. All in all, nicely done and well above average for a self published book. Fix the problems in the next edition and it'll easily be worth five stars.

Title: I love this book!
Review: I am soon to go on my first cruise ever. I was nervous. What do I do, wear, see? I have joined facebook groups, and talked to every person I know who has cruised, but have never felt more confident about that cruise than after reading this book! Full of funny stories and comments - very entertaining! Next, I am off to read Deb’s book on Caribbean cruising. 🙂

Review: We enjoyed the book and learned many things from it all the while chuckling along the way. We would recommend it for the tidbits and chuckles gained. Where we had a problem was with the editing. As the book went on the editing went with it. We don't know if it was just the editing of the Kindle edition or book overall. Either way it took all I had to finish it without wanting to grab a red pen, edit it in return and send it to whomever edited it to begin with. Again, if you can look past the editing it is humorous and does offer useful tips. You decide.

Review: I wasn't sure about this book at first because the cover photo looked outdated. I plan my vacations well in advance, so I bought the book anyway because the copyright is 2013.And... I absolutely loved this book! It's absolutely up to date! My cruise is in the next couple of months and I'm more excited after reading this book. I got a great tip right away on page 2 that I never would have thought about - bring binoculars. Duh!The personal stories were short, funny and made the point. Explanations of the pros and cons were clear and informative - letting you choose what's best for you.For example, if you do more than one cruise, be brand-loyal to get perks like free laundry, Internet etc. OR don't be brand loyal and explore the diverse itineraries from different cruise lines.I'll update this review after my cruise, but I highly recommend reading this book if you want to know what to expect. I'm less anxious and SO excited!Did you know that ships have libraries???
