【4K FRONT + 2K REAR* & SUPER NIGHT VISION 4.0 W/ SONY STARVIS 2 SENSOR】The U3000 delivers improved 4K front and 2K rear recording compared to the U1000, thanks to STARVIS 2 and a more powerful Ambarella CPU. The addition of an adjustable bitrate offers the flexibility to record sharper footage. Also, the U3000 features Super Night Vision 4.0 which takes advantage of STARVIS 2’s high sensitivity and low noise technology to help the dash cam capture clearer footage in low-light conditions.
【NEW RADAR PARKING MODE WITH BUILT-IN RADAR】 Radar Parking mode is a low-powered recording mode that utilizes the U3000’s built-in radar to monitor motion with minimal power consumption (requires hardwiring or OBD-II cable). This allows for longer parking surveillance with buffering so you have footage of events leading to an incident. When a motion or impact is detected, the U3000 will save a 20-second video clip of the incident.
【EASY WI-FI DEVICE PAIRING WITH THINKWARE LINK APP & BLUETOOTH】 Built-in Bluetooth allows hassle-free dash cam pairing with your compatible Android or iOS device via the Thinkware Link App. Once paired, replay your latest driving videos and manage your dash cam’s settings with the Thinkware Link App.
【EASY ACCESS WITH THINKWARE CONNECTED APP】THINKWARE CONNECTED App provides easy access to your Thinkware Dash Cam so you can watch your vehicle live remotely, get instant impact notifications, and more, all in the same app. (Internet connection is required, carrier charges may apply)
【SPEED AND RED LIGHT CAMERA ALERT】The built-in GPS antenna tracks the speed and time data of your vehicle and enables the dash cam to alert you of upcoming red light cameras and speed cameras.

Title: Reliable in the heat
Review: I live in LA and we get some crazy heat in the summer. My last dash cam, the Viofo A119 died on me so I was hesitant about trying another one. However with all these bad drivers out there, I still think it's better for me to have one so I bought this U3000. Been using it for the past couple days and the cam has been great at handling the heat. Iâm quite impressed with how reliable it is and the video quality is way better than I expected.

Title: Straightforward, easy install
Review: Iâm not the most tech-savvy person, so I was a bit worried about setting up a dash cam. But the U3000 was surprisingly easy to install. The instructions were clear and the app makes it super simple to download footage to my phone. The video quality is amazing, everything is so sharp. If youâre looking for a dash cam that is easy to use, this is the one!

Title: Nice image, not so nice internet configuration.
Review: The camera looks nice the image and audio are great,However, there are two things I had problems with. I couldnât connect to the Connected app with my iPhone, because you canât add a + on the phone number, by chance I used my iPad which did let me add the + sign and made it work, after a few hours trying with my iPhone it finally worked. Now, some how I lots the internet connection and when I tried to connect again to a hotspot, it work work. I can with other devices but not with the camera. I tried to connect to two different home networks and one mobile wifi and nothing. The weird thing is that I was connected to one of them before. It has been frustrating spending so many hours trying iOS/iPadOS/Android devices without any luck. I tried tech support for the first issue I had without any luck, I have no hopes for this new problem I have. Since the camera is rather new there isnât a lot of info about this camera on the web. I am getting to the point where I am contemplating returning it, although I donât want to. I canât believe this camera is used on fleets, I canât imagine all the troubles who ever manages those cameras would have.If I could get this to work, I would de finally change my rating to 5 stars, and I would highly suggest to add a trouble shooting to fix these problems.Update: I was able to fix the problem by factory resetting the camera. I wish I had thought about it before wasting so much time. Now it works great, so far. I added a star.Edit: I removed 2 more stars since out of the connected app stopped working. It seems like I will have to delete my account to register my camera again, something that must be done through support which is taking over a week to get it done, and still waiting. If I ever sell this camera, I will have to plan several weeks ahead. When this works properly I am sure it will be worth it, but until then, I wish I would have gotten a Blackvue like I was planning. Right now, I would not recommend this camera to my worse enemy. I hope that changes if it ever gets fixed.Edit: After waiting for about a month on them to fix this, I am still waiting for them to delete my account so I can try to start from scratch, I am not even sure if that will help.Update: 15-dec-2023 still waiting for them to do something to get it fixed. Over a month waiting for them to delete my account to try to start over. Imagine I had to sell the product, I canât sell it while itâs associated to my account and it wonât let me remove it myself.Update: Jan 5th and the issue is still not resolved. About 3 months ago they agreed that the best course of action was to delete the camera from my account so I can link it again, which I suggested from the beginning. They stopped answering about a month ago. Awful experience. I retreat getting this camera. I am not sure if Blackvue would have been any better, but I wish I had gone that way instead.

Title: Solid Upgrade From F800 Pro 2- Channel
Review: I've been using Thinkware products for many years. Mainly been using the Thinkware F800 2 Channel in my F150. I recently decided to upgrade to the U3000, and am not disappointed at all. It is a very solid upgrade over the previous 1080 generation of dash cameras from Thinkware. The app is much more intuitive then the older one which constantly had connection issues. I did have a few issues at first as I could not get the U3000 to connect to the app for the initial setup. After many hours of trouble shooting I found out it was because I plopped in the older dash camera MicroSD card that was full, and the camera wouldn't function correctly until I reformatted the MicroSD card on the computer. I was then able to plug it in and complete the initial setup and reformat the card on the device directly.Overall the camera quality is great, the parking modes, and the included OBD connection setup is fantastic. Much easier, and don't have to worry about hardwiring this camera directly to the battery/fusebox. The parking modes can be a bit intimidating, but with some tweaking you can get it just right so that you don't have 10+ alerts every time you get in the car.Compared to some other dash camera brands, I was a bit reserved on my purchase, as some online videos were pretty rough on this U3000, regarding quality compared to other 4k models. But in the end, I went ahead with the U3000 just due to the reliability of the parking modes, and experience with the previous camera I've used for many years. On sale, this is a must have for sure if you want something reliable that will function on very hot summer days or very cold winter nights and still function as intended. There are also many online features that I have not yet tested.

Title: The best dashcam.
Review: Parking sensor works great. Paired with my car's hotspot for alerts on my phone. 5Ghz wifi option lets the dashcam connect to my car's hotspot at the same time as i have an Android Auto connection to my car. Considering it for my other car too, but the price is holding me back from getting a 2nd.

Review: I didn't have any problems with the rear camera - installing or using. I followed the installation instructions and ensured that the end of the cable labeled "FRONT" was inserted into the front/main dashcam. To make installation easier I downloaded the Android app, powered the dashcam temporarily with the 12v adapter, and watched live on my phone as I positioned the camera before touching the adhesive to the glassI also didn't have a problem finding a user manual/instructions, as the one guide that came in the package had a QR code that takes you to a web page with user manuals for all of Thinkware's products. The radar/motion detection has worked well so far.I will edit this review (if possible) to include any long term observations, and to see if this camera holds up to winter cold.

Review: Great Camera system, the QR code wouldn't recognise the unit, neither would the serial number manually punched. Eventually got it working after using the MAC address. That wasn't listed for the U3000 unit but it was the only way to activate it in the app (for this unit).
Customers say
Customers like the video quality of the onboard camera. They mention it provides a solid 4K image and appreciate the parking mode. However, some customers have reported issues with the internet connection, value for money, and size. Opinions are mixed on functionality, ease of use, and overall quality.
