Title: Best book ever!
Review: "Dating Sucks, but You Don't" is an exceptional book that deserves every one of its five stars. It is not your typical dating guide; it goes beyond mere dating tips and tricks, delving into the fascinating world of dating psychology while empowering readers to embrace their authentic selves. One of the book's most impressive aspects is how it manages to tackle the challenges of dating while constantly reminding readers that their self-worth is not tied to their relationship status. The author beautifully emphasizes the importance of self-love and self-acceptance, encouraging readers to embrace their uniqueness and build a strong foundation of confidence. The psychology of dating is explored in-depth, and the insights provided are nothing short of eye-opening. Through well-researched studies and relatable anecdotes, the book sheds light on the complexities of human behavior in relationships. Understanding the psychological aspects of dating helps readers navigate the uncertainties with newfound clarity and perspective. One of the book's strongest points is its relatability. It doesn't present a one-size-fits-all solution but rather encourages readers to discover what works best for them individually. By emphasizing self-awareness, readers are guided to recognize their own needs and desires, making the dating journey more fulfilling and authentic. The writing style is engaging and conversational, making it easy to immerse oneself in the content. The author's wit and humor provide moments of levity, making the experience of reading the book enjoyable and lighthearted despite the serious topics discussed. What sets "Dating Sucks, but You Don't" apart from other dating books is the emphasis on personal growth and self-improvement. Throughout the chapters, the book offers practical exercises and thought-provoking questions that prompt readers to engage in self-reflection and take actionable steps towards becoming the best version of themselves. As a result of reading this book, I have gained a newfound sense of confidence and a deeper understanding of my own desires and boundaries. I feel better equipped to navigate the dating world with authenticity and self-assurance. Furthermore, the book has been instrumental in helping me recognize that dating challenges are not a reflection of my worth, but rather an opportunity for growth and learning. In conclusion, "Dating Sucks, but You Don't" is a must-read for anyone navigating the complexities of dating in the modern world. Its insightful exploration of dating psychology, combined with a focus on self-discovery and self-love, make it a valuable and empowering resource. I wholeheartedly give this book five stars and recommend it to anyone seeking a healthier and more fulfilling dating experience.

Title: The least douchey guide to modern dating
Review: The landscape of men's dating advice books is so terrible (and youtube is somehow even worse) that one of the the biggest endorsements I can give this book is by describing what it *isn't*. In contrast to so many other books out there in this space, this book is devoid of: all red pill/incel nonsense, rants that blame feminism or women in general for men's dating struggles, long-debunked alpha male pseudo-science, creepy tricks and lies to tell women, and an outsized focus on getting sex with little attention on building meaningful connections with women. I know it sounds like a low bar to clear, but I've found that the things mentioned above are present (at least to some extent) in seemingly every other dating advice book for men. There are some exceptions, like Mark Manson's Models, but I think this book has a few things going for it that Models lacks (though I recommend Models too). First, it is more recent. This book having only come out in the last few years means it is the single best dating book that fully understands how dating apps work. A lot of the advice in this book is specifically about navigating the world of dating apps. Second, it is a great mix of theoretical and practical. This means that you not only get the theories and reasoning behind the principles discussed, but you also get specific advice on how their application. This comes in the form of stories from the author's life and his clients' lives, but also by providing examples of specific things one could say or do while meeting a woman or going on a date. The book is also a well-written, quick, and entertaining read. I think someone could enjoy reading it even if they disagreed with the content. Good luck out there!

Title: Beyond Dating, this is a Lifestyle Reboot Book
Review: Over the years, I've studied a horde of dating content—books, workshops, and podcasts—searching for answers to some of the bigger questions about romantic relationships. When it can feel like men and women are truly from different planets, how do we know where to go for insights with integrity about the opposite sex? It's a very confusing landscape.Although every resource offers a useful piece of the puzzle, Connor Barrett’s book, Dating Sucks, But You Don’t, is one of the most genuine and comprehensive that I’ve found. In the realm of dating, I'm probably your average single guy and reader, desiring to get some more good dates with the ultimate goal of finding that one right woman that will bring the dating journey to a satisfying conclusion. That’s why I have really found Connell’s book (and his podcast, Dating Transformation) very rewarding.Ultimately, few of us will have the time, energy, and drive to explore the landscape of dating as thoroughly as Connell has. Connell has put in the work—over 15 years worth!—which is more than enough to make Malcolm Gladwell proud. To sweeten the deal, Connell harnesses the intuitive insights of David Deida from Way of the Superior Man with the empirical studies of James Clear from Atomic Habits. In short, the best way to learn something is to take action—a lot of it—and make mistakes—a lot of them—along the way.If you’re anything like me, you want to see more gains with less pain. If you’re anything like me, you just want a great girlfriend without resorting to cheesy, duplicitous tricks. Fortunately, the whole world can reap the hard-earned wisdom from Connell’s experiences. There’s a lot of classy, smart guidance, and also a few hilarious stories in Dating Sucks, But You Don’t. But at heart, the biggest take-away is that a successful dating life begins with knowing and liking yourself, then moving on to building meaningful connections with other people. I am happy to be implementing this book on my journey to finding the right, lucky lady in my life.

Review: I first bought the audiobook as a recommendation in Audible. Then I picked up the print version so I could easily re-read sections and see charts and certain sections.I have read/listened to plenty of books on dating and this really hits home. It's the most real, honest book and doesn't force you to be someone else or trick dates. It's about being yourself, but better.Connell is a wonderful speaker in the audiobook. His voice is full of inflection and so pleasant to hear.I don't know if I would recommend tge book over the audiobook book - so get them both like I did!The premise of the book is that you need to get radically authentic. Be yourself, genuine and honest. That way the women you approach will be interested in the real you. And if not, then rejection is normal and just move on to someone else who may like you better!Every chapter is distinctive and includes personal stories and many techniques to practice. The section on online dating really breaks it down in how to play that game. How to get the best profile and how to improve your rating in order to meet the best possible matches for yourself. For cons, the paper the paperback uses isn't the best. So you might want to get the hardcover, it's not much more.

Review: After going through trials and tribulations, the author presents an approach to dating while being your authentic self. I find the book very classy and practical. The fact that makes it stand out is that it is devoid of anything generic and offers clear insights. Make sure to put the advice in action; you can't learn to swim unless you get out and jump into the water.
