Title: he isn't dating just your face
Review: Good basic information for those of us that have been out of the dating scene for decades. It gave me confidence. My first date after 35 years went wonderful partly due to the information and confidence this book gave me. I especially liked the thought that men aren't just dating your face. They are dating all of you. The flaws you worry about he might not even notice. Concentrate on every thing wonderful about yourself.

Title: The Winning Dating Formula for Women Over 50
Review: Hi, Awesome! A book for people my age! Many people have given up hope and stopped trying and stay single. Quality men is good...someone who is trying in life/is trying to be healthy and learn/grow/get more out of life. If I took time to heal I would never date since I have been very hurt and still hurt. I am in survival mode. Leaving my baggage is hard. The book is well written and great site also. Nice quotes. I may be an alpha woman and push guys away. She explains about alpha/beta etc types of combos of relationships. Yes..a guy wants to make a woman happy/help/be a Hero. I am used to being independent since a guy could not make me happy. To me I would be happy when they are happy, but I am not their source of happiness.Seeing the true person and learning about Narcissism helped me. I will not be having sex on any dates. Yes...I know guys may look older. I just want them to have personality. Deal breakers? To me addictions/narcissism/disrespect/can't talk with/fear them/abuse. I want a guy who enjoys my personality...accepts me unconditionally..no control issues and doesn't abandon is truthful/honest/loyal. She says to know what you want in a guy. What do I need a guy for? Companion/can talk and share thoughts/some one who brings out the best in me/humor/help/hugs etc.. Yes...too needy/desperate/would cling to a guy. Yes..I expect a guy to be too perfect. I really don't want to do online dating, but I know that is the way to fine tune who you want to be in a relationship with. I know people who found love on line.Fun ideas. How to get rid of the wrong person and more in the book. I have a hard time saying nice things about myself. I expect a guy to see the best in me without me having to mention anything that is self promotion. I don't defend myself or promote myself. Yes..need to listen/ask questions more. I am a slow learner so lessons repeat and don't stop since I didn't learn.

Title: Not really worth it... and actually surprisingly disappointing!
Review: Not the best experience by a long shot!As part of a promotion, I received an opportunity for a brief phone consultation with the author. I asked her about how I might handle disclosing my experience of FMD/CFS (chronic pain and fatigue) to a prospective mate as we got to know one another. Google it. It's called something else in EU/UK but it's known throughout the developed world. FMS/CFS is not uncommon and it's a growing issue --- epsecially for menopausal (50+) women. She acted taken aback and said something to the effect of: "You don't actually TELL PEOPLE that you have Fibromyalgia, do you!?"Well, duh! Not on the first date and not unless I feel as if we have some kind of a future. And in that case, why the heck would I try and hide it from them. That would be sort of like the man trying to hide ED. What a great way to start an emotionally and physically intimate relationship THAT would be, lol! Most of the advice here is simple common sense and very shallow/superficial/stereotypical.Perhaps it will be useful to you if you've been married for many decades and only recently divorced, widowed... I can't speak to that.I'm divorced, but have dated on and off before and since. Nothing unique here, no big insights or life-enhancing tips... in other words: nothing of value for women like me who are aging gracefully and authentically without guile and subterfuge!

Review: Feels like this was written on the fly...there are some useful tips but it reads like an extended article in say, "More" magazine (complete with certain advice being repeated over and over in the book, just in different spots) Kind of a waste of money in my book (so to speak) and oh yeah, the woman drinking a martini in the front of the book? She sure doesn't look over fifty to me!
