Title: Leslie has an amazing heart for the Lord. She is truely inspiring!!
Review: Although this book does have minor things I didn't quite agree with, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It is absolutely WONDERFUL! The ways Leslie talks about how stunningly beautiful and fulfilled our relationship with the Lord can be have truly inspired me to seek Him with all my being and has reaffirmed my belief that God is all we will ever need to be satisfied and fulfilled. I definitely recommend this book. Yes, there are small things that may turn someone off, like how she talks about American Idol (although that is only for a few sentences), or how she compares the spiritual life of "Maria" with what it should look like, but those are small things compared to the scope of the whole book. I also think she is far more conservative than I am, but I still loved hearing about her life and message. She is so passionate and committed to showing girls what a life with Jesus in the center can be and how it is the best life we could ever live. She encourages us to serve our Savior and King with all we have and reassures us of His everlasting, incomparable love for us that can never be matched. Her overall message is truly one that should be heard.

Title: So glad I read this
Review: First off, this isn't the traditional "love yourself for who you are" or "you are beautiful deep down inside book." This is so much more real. This book provides real answers and gets pretty deep. I stumbled on this because I was fed up and dissatisfied with myself and felt that I was on the lone road pursuing my relationship with Christ while the rest of the world chased after worldly beauty. After reading this, I found such strength and insight that I had never thought of. I had always struggled with feeling "beautiful," but this book showed me that we were not born into beauty, we were born into sin. The only hope we have is reflecting the beauty of Christ; not the shallow, hollow, and meaningless beauty of the world. It's about being an individual and making Christ your everything. This book is very convicting and convincing. It's also pretty radical and will change the way you think about things. I recommend this to any young woman who wants to be so much more that what the world has told her to be.

Title: A no-apologies message that is badly needed in today's world!
Review: This book is something every Christian woman should read, whether you're married and past the "young woman" years or if you're in the target audience of single teens and young adults. Mrs. Ludy deals with issues in a non-apologetic way that leaves you grimacing and squirming as you read, but if you read it with prayerful thought it can also be very convicting. The Ludy's are well-known for standing up and proclaiming Biblical truths that even most pastors would never dare to approach in their church, and this book is no exception. Most women will read this book and scorn her ideas as outlandish and out of date, but there will be a few who will rise up and realize the truth written in this book. In our deteriorating generation, Mrs. Ludy's fireball message is desperately needed!Despite this, I do want to warn parents to exercise caution as to when you let your daughters read this book. She does cover some very mature topics (I personally think she could've written about these things in a much better way so that younger ages could read the book as well, but that's beside the point), and for that reason I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending the book for girls under 16, possibly older depending on your views on the subject.Overall I would highly recommend this book, and hope that it will get in the hands of many girls, because we desperately need this!

Title: good & challenging book
Review: I like that the book challenges you to not settle with things everybody else does.Sometimes it is a bit to black & withe. She has very obvios oppinions about other books and emphasis that sometimes to much (it seems a bit like gossiping)But it is a really good bock, Christian women should read it and allow the holy Spirit to convict you at the right points and to change your life.

Title: OUTSTANDING
Review: In a world full of mediocre Christian nonfiction, this book has radically changed our lives. It is not for the average believer, since it suggests challenges that most Christians will scoff at, saying she is too extreme. I want to be an extreme Christian, as close to Jesus as I can be, and this book is just what I needed.It questions your heart, your actions and your desires to be what God wants you to be. She is not afraid to ask the outrageous of you in your daily walk, and if you step up and follow through, you will not believe the changes in your life.God has done so much in our lives because of lifestyle changes we have made due to reading this book, that I am shocked and look forward to more growth as we continue to hear his voice. If you read with an attitude of how you can meet God more intimately, and are open to big changes, you will see great changes. Easy? NO/. Worth it? YES.

Title: Buy 5 of these...you'll want everyone to read it.
Review: As a 42 year old male, I found this book to be applicable to all Christians; whether female or male, new believer or seasoned saint. It provides an excellent balance of scriptural support with real-life stories and examples so that you know it stands on truth, yet it doesn't drown you in poorly explained verses. I'm reading it in preparation for sharing it with my 12 year old daughter as a series of devotionals and I've gotten so much out of it. I can't wait to see the impact it has on her for years to come. Thank you Leslie for being obedient to God in sharing the wisdom He has given you.

Title: A Call to Arms
Review: I have read other books by Leslie Ludy. But this one really was unlike the others. Not because of a lack of passion or anything like that. In this book, Set-Apart Femininity, there is call to arms. Ladies, accept that God honored call and opposed to being so self-centered, become more God centered.I got so much out of this. Her website was so incredibly helpful too, and I urge you not to just read her books but also go check out the website, [...]. I really loved Ludys example of the man (in modern days) who gave everything up for Jesus..I'm not going to spoil it for you, if you want to check it out, but I will say that the story of that man has stuck with me and I really know God has spoken through Leslie to deliver his message.

Review: This book truly teaches about following Jesus and only Jesus.Yes, it gives practical tips that some may find restrictive (wearing clothing that doesn't cling, not flirting or trying to draw attention to yourself, etc...) but the tips are given not to create a drudgery, miserable life but to teach young women to set themselves apart for Jesus. To make Jesus number 1 in all areas of our lives.Leslie does an incredible job of exhorting young women to better themselves according to Jesus' ways and not the world's. She is very sympathetic, is not arrogant or know-it-all, and shows compassion while still refusing to settle for less than our absolute best for Jesus.I recommend this book for any women who has chosen the set-apart life for Jesus (and set-apart does not mean nun-like).
