Title: AIRPLUS 4,500 Sq.Ft 70 Pint Dehumidifier
Review: Well it looks like a very nice Dehumidifier, But where is the operating instructions at ?It came with a users manual which basically tells you where everything is at on it , and what each button is for, but nothing that explains how to actually use it and what mode to set it on.This is my first Dehumidifier, and it would have been helpful to gotten a manual on operation.

Title: Amazed at how much water this things pulls out of the moist Seattle air
Review: Bought this unit for my trailer in the woods to make it not feel damp and depressing in the NW Fall/Winter/Spring. We don't have a humidity issue in the Summer really like other regions. When you set the unit to 40% it never quite gets down there which is strange given the unit is dramatically oversized for the space (400 sqft not 4500 sqft). What's great is this makes the colder mornings not feel as cold and the windows stay clear and fog-free which is an unexpected feature I hadn't even thought about. On High in my house I was able to fill the reservoir in probably 6-8 hours! This is proof that it is really working but just like all the other research of all the other devices, using the res is a pain in the butt but I didn't plan to use it at all. Plan on using the drain hose for continuous use.The most important features for me were that it had a drain hose that I could put down the drain and that it recovers to the previous settings when returning from power loss (my trailer has Shore Power but it can fail from time to time during wind storms and I have to assume that I can't drive up to the mountains immediately after each storm to turn the unit back on). These 2 features will really help me protect my investment.I personally criticize the timescale of the humidity control loop (with reasonable caveats). It will turn on and off as expected when it reaches the desired humidity such as 70% but the time hysteresis of the algorithm seems to cycle the unit every 5 minutes instead of 15 or 20 like a normal thermostat on a furnace. 5 on, 3 off, 5 on, 3 off to mean is pretty annoying compared to 10 on 6 off or something. This is probably due to the unit being oversized for the space and the algorithm being optimized for more stable humidity spaces with longer time constants (just like having a furnace that is too large will heat your house too quickly and then have to turn back on soon after turning off because a smaller space will cool off faster as well).

Title: Very pleased
Review: I've had this for a few months now and I've been very happy with the performance. It has a little noise 10 foot from my favorite chair near the tv, but it isn't overwhelming by any means. I have to empty it twice a day else it will fill and shut off. I will eventually set up the drain hose but I wanted to see how much water was being pulled out of the air. This one doesn't have enough umph to pull as much humidity as I'd like, but I don't know that is a fault of the unit. I suspect I would benefit from a larger unit. Pleased enough I would be willing to buy this again if I had problems a few years down the road.

Title: AIRPLUS 4,500 Sq.Ft 60 Pint Dehumidifier
Review: This dehumidifier has significantly improved the air quality in my apartment. The shared laundry appliances in my apartment building aren't maintained well by the property management so I purchased a portable washing machine and hang all my clothing to dry inside my apartment. This isn't usually a problem in the summer when I have my windows open or the A/C is helping to remove excess moisture. It is a huge problem in the winter time. The condensation that collects on my windows is so heavy that it soaks the window sills and sometimes causes puddles on the floor. Cooking every day only adds to the moisture levels. Plastic over the windows does help but there is still a lot of moisture that collects on the plastic.I've used a few electrostatic dehumidifiers. They collect such scant amounts of water. Moisture absorbers like Damp Rid help somewhat but aren't effective enough. Finally I have a solution with this dehumidifier and it works great, collecting a lot of water. It will also help keep my heating expenses down by making the house feel warmer.I love the streamlined design that doesn't take up tons of space. The wheels glide over my hardwood floors and low pile throw rugs effortlessly. The cord is long enough to plug the dehumidifier several feet away from the outlet. Operation is simple to understand. I couldn't be happier with this unit.

Title: Easy setup. Terrible instructions.
Review: I set this up in my basement to keep the humidity down (well... what else would I use it for?). It was ready to go right out of the box, and I had it set up and running in a minute, even with the hose for continuous use (I just ran the hose to a floor drain). When I finally got the instructions out, they affirmed I did the setup correctly... But that's about all they did.The instructions are basically useless. I'm going to paraphrase a little, but basically all they tell you is what the buttons do. Like "Use the mode button to change modes," or "press the anode button for anion." Like, I get that the mode button will change modes... but what are the modes? There's "Low," "High," "Drying" and "Fan"... so... I assume Fan doesn't dehumidify, but just runs the fan. But if there's a drying mode, does that mean low and high don't dehumidify? and if they do, what's the difference between them and drying? The instructions don't say... they only tell me to use the mode button to change between them. Also, what the heck is "anion?"Anyways, it still gets 4 stars because it works well and is easy to set up. I guess I just won't use the different features.
