Title: Great for a beginner like me
Review: I am among the unfortunately morbidly obese in our country with an addiction to carbohydrates. I have always avoided fad diets because I need a long term plan. Molly's book explained to me why my body and brain were demanding carbs 24 hours a day, it needed them for fuel and wouldn't take no for an answer. After just two days of trying her thoughtful and nutritious plan I found myself able to stop eating after 7 pm. Before I could never go to bed without feeding my carb demons. I was able to move into intermittent fasting in four days. I come to each meal hungry and with the mindset that I'm going to truly nourish myself and then move on with my day. Her recipes are satisfying and luckily I love to cook. I didn't care for the white chicken chili, way too fatty and rich for me and it made me feel sick. But I love her zucchini muffins, Southwest meatloaf, and basically all the meat recipes. The peanut butter cups are the perfect cap to my day. I have way more energy and sleep great too, just as she said would happen. I'm taking it a day at a time but I feel hopeful for the first time in years. Thank you Molly.

Title: Great Book!
Review: This book is fantastic! Perfectly understandable and relatable explanations for the KETO based diet. Easy to follow menus and every recipe is FABULOUS! I bought this book for myself and when I realized how wonderful it was, I booked nutrition sessions with the author and purchased another copy of the book for a friend.

Title: Great for starting the KETO diet.
Review: I certainly found the recipes I the book interesting and I really liked the meal plans. This book actually gives you a starter 4 week meal plan. I would have rated it higher but some of the meals were simply a one dish type that didnât fit the way we usually eat. There needed to be some type of KETO side dish such as a spinach salad or a low carb vegetable dish to go with the dinners. Also itâs a little bit of a shock to just jump right into the KETO diet. My wife and I had to kind of ease into it and then the book made more sense. We really like the chili recipe and it is now one of our favorites. Sometimes you just have to try something that at first doesnât seem all that great. The zucchini nut muffins are great and so is the yogurt parfait with creamy blueberry crumble. You can always add seasonings to some dishes like the Keto Waldorf chicken salad which we both thought was great. Thereâs even a section on âsnaksâ which are important when getting the hang of this diet. Definitely a great book for the older folks looking to shed some pounds.

Title: Good but get electrolytes for "Keto Flu" before starting
Review: Easy to follow, good recipes, but would have been quite useful to include "keto flu" info in Chapter 1 instead of Chapter 3, so newbies know before diet start how to avoid it by boosting electrolytes such as potassium, magnesium and sodium. If you are super vigilant about calculating everything you might be able to do it with food alone, otherwise get an electrolyte supplement. Many supplements target this, including some for keto, but research the potassium type, as it comes in many forms that absorb & affect you differently. Ditto for magnesium. Also if possible avoid any with fake sugars. Drink lots of water too!

Title: Excellent Book about Keto for the grandparent group
Review: I bought this used after purchasing the newer edition and have no second thoughts about it being a good purchase. You really don't need both, however, there are some differences in the contents of each which make it worthwhile. Keto really isn't so mysterious. The author makes it easy to understand and focuses on the positives rather than the negatives of keto compliance, much like education and reinforcement of good behaviors vs focus on what one is doing wrong. Perception is dependent on the reader, and I do recommend books by Ms. Devine.

Review: My husband lost 40 pounds on this diet, and I lost 30! The recipes are delicious! I tried the kindle edition for free at first, but I liked the recipes so much that I bought the spiral cookbook. It takes a while to get used to cooking this way, but the proof is in the results.
