You've made it to Friday, now what are you going to eat?

Having spent years gathering friends around her kitchen table, Eleanor has perfected the art of Friday night dinner. It usually starts with a sip of something cold and ends with friends tipsily heading home, full and happy. But most importantly, there's always something good to eat.

Here are more than a hundred recipes for the best night of the week. If you're planning to spend the evening on the sofa, have your closest friend over or even host the masses, why not try Eleanor's fail-safe crowdpleasers:

- Frozen jalapeño margaritas
- Bloody Mary rigatoni
- Barbecued lamb rump with griddled apricots, tahini sauce and garlicky labneh
- Smoky aubergines and mozzarella
- Big summer pasta with Little Gem, courgettes, peas and goat's cheese
- Brown sugar pavlova with miso caramel peaches and bourbon cream

And amongst the recipes are thoughts on the glamour of mixing a martini for one, the lifesaving magic of a really good spaghetti carbonara, and the joy of a table laden with bits, waiting for hungry hands.

So, fill your favourite glass, choose something mouth-watering to cook and embrace all that Friday night has to offer.

Review: This book is a real treat, its a ‘grab your favourite hot drink, snuggle down & sink in’ kind of book. Eleanor writing makes you feel like you are sat with a friend and the photography is just gorgeous. This book celebrates weekend nights at home, which I am all about. There is no place like home and I love spending time in the kitchen, so this book really speaks my language. The recipes are inspirational and I have a whole list of favourites which I am bursting to make. Roll on Friday night. Thanks Eleanor for creating such a gorgeous, wholesome book. It really is a welcome addition to my cookbook collection!

Review: I love everything about this glorious book. The author’s tone is as welcoming and fun as the brilliant selection of food and drink recipes and ideas enclosed in her book. But it, you won’t be disappointed!

Review: A beautiful book with lots of chatty and inspiring recipes including some great tips for adding something a little bit special to really enhance a meal. I loved the crispy crumbs idea ( my poor garden birds will have to do without their morning leftover crusts !) and I can't wait to try the other recipes I've marked up. I have followed Eleanor's weekly column in the Telegraph and am really pleased to have them all now in one place.

Review: This wonder of a book has clearly been written by someone who has a deep rooted sense of what "just works" in cooking. The way Eleanor writes is completely unique and makes you feel like there is a friend cooking alongside you, guiding you through every chop, sprinkle and stir (all while dishing out bucketfuls of gossip!). But more than that, Eleanor brings to life the joy of creating food, whether it be for yourself when you really can't be bothered, or for bringing together friends and family and ultimately showing your love through what you put on your plate. I can't recommend this book enough.
