Embittered single dad Duke has sworn off love forever.
Unfortunately, his daughter just met the mother of her dreams.
Millie:
I have it all. I work my dream job doing animal-assisted therapy, I live with the four best friends in history, and I own an actual pair of Louboutins. I should be content. Right?
Except, ever since an adorable toddler begged me to be her momma, I want more, and an insta-family is my only chance at motherhood. Unfortunately, her absurdly hot NFL star dad isn’t quite as enthusiastic about me as she is. In fact, if I didn’t know better, I’d think he was avoiding me.
At least until his nanny leaves abruptly mid season. Now, he’s knocking down my door, pleading with me to help watch the little girl I’ve already fallen in love with.
And the more he knocks, the more I’m in danger of falling for him, too.
Duke:
Never get married. Seriously, people, don’t do it.
If you never get married, your influencer wife can’t abandon you and your baby during the middle of your cancer treatments. It doesn’t matter that you kick cancer’s butt or come back to the NFL stronger than ever.
Love is for suckers.
Which is why meeting the intriguing, far too intuitive Millie Campbell is so frustrating. Isn’t it enough that she’s drop dead gorgeous? Does she also have to be the mother of my daughter’s dreams?
Love is a brutal sport, and I have no intention of playing it ever again. But if I do get back in the game, Millie needs to know one thing:
I play for keeps.
Baby Llama Drama is a sweet and swoony closed door romcom with sizzling chemistry, delightful banter, and an adorable llama. It features growth, grown ups having real conversations, dry shampoo, an unhealthy amount of Diet Coke, and of course, a happily ever after.
Content Warning: This book deals with themes of loss, abandonment, anxiety, imperfect parenting, pregnancy complications, and chronic illness.

Title: THIS BOOK SPOKE TO MY SOUL
Review: Let's break it down for youMillie- child therapist, is her family's emotional support dog, loves Lottie, loves vintage clothes, has PCOS and is infertile but dreams of motherhoodI can identify SO MUCH with Millie and I especially love the PCOS representation. So number one I fell in love with Millie from basically the first page.Duke- Single dad (I'm a sucker for this trope) NFL quarterback ð, loves his daughter, has some anxiety and stress due to his daughters struggles, beat cancer about 2ish years before the book startsOkay so honestly my husband can relate to none of these things besides loving his daughter 𤣠BUT he related to Duke in that I saw in Duke the same desire to be a good dad, to learn and improve, and to be devoted to caring for and loving your kids and your spouse that I see in my husband.Put those two things together and you have BASICALLY MY PERFECT BOOK!!!Now onto the facts of why YOU should read this book1. In chapter 4 Millie listens to Duke talk about his struggles with parenting and y'all EVERY parent needs to hear what she says to him. You will feel so seen, so heard, and I legitimately cried reading this chapter.2. It's super cute and funny while also being relatable. Lottie is adorable and I love her and I love seeing her be a toddler and not being shamed for her toddler behaviors. This was basically a parenting book but in a RomCom version because it was so relatable and helped me think of my kids in the right light again.3. THE FIRST KISS ð¥ð¥ð¥ð¥ð¥ð¥4. The way Duke and Millie talk about their problems like actual adults! Yes they take some processing time after a disagreement but then they come back together and actually talk and apologize and forgive each other = relationship GOALS5. All the side characters are amazing. I love getting to know the Janes more and seeing the foreshadowing for future books. I am so invested in them!!6. The whole love story will give you butterflies and THAT ENDING ððð7. The way Millie learns to set boundaries ðð okay really this one everybody needs to learn to. The way she had to grow in this book was ððð we can all take a page from her book. Literally ð¤£8. All of the deep emotionally bonding conversations Duke and Millie have. Basically they're my new best friends and I wish they were real because I loved getting to know them so deeply. *Sigh* why can't fictional characters be real? Thanks for taking the time to read this if you've made it this far. If you can't tell I loved this book ð¥°. I hope you love it too!! â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸

Title: Best Book Iâve Read In a While
Review: I read a lot of books. Like 4-6 a week. I go back and forth between Intense Fantasy to Sweet Hallmarky romances. I find that a lot of these Hallmarky type books are shallow but I end with a smile on my face and enjoy the read. This one was not shallow at all. And I mean that in a GREAT way. It captured humanity and the journey we all go on discovering the beauty of love among the chaos of day to day life and the struggles that go with it. I absolutely loved it. My first Kate Watson book, but will for sure not be my last.

Title: New Favorite Romcom with sassy, child therapist FMC
Review: âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸What I loved:- Forced proximity (Nanny)- Small town- Jump off the page chemistry- Funny ð meet-cute- Diet Coke spills ð¤- Child Therapist FMC- Single dad, NFL player MMC- Adorable daughter, Lottie- Neon pink, baby ðð¤ð- Cute therapy animals- Dual POV- Healing from trauma- Funny best friends- The cutest ending ever ððð- Miscommunication not becoming the plot ðð¥¹- Character development and growth from all 3 MCsâï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸I love this book so much I almost donât have words. Almost ðð¤First, I have a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and I was on my way to be a child therapist. So I ABSOLUTELY loved this fiery, red headed child therapist FMC. The book BEAUTIFULLY described parenting struggles, giving parents and children grace, and the burden that many empathic people (therapists especially) can carry. I loved how the book detailed how to help children work through their emotions as even though this isnât a parenting book, you can glean so much good information on emotional regulation and the importance of firm boundaries for children. Millie is also just a fun, loving, and witty character. There is so much to love about this sassy FMC that I can for sure relate to.Second, Duke is definitely swoon worthy and sassy in his own right, with the cutest (and very realistic look at life with toddlers) daughter.Third, I love this relationship isnât perfect. They try their best to model healthy emotions and working through them. But there are fails in this book. We are all human. We can desire and strive the be the best examples we can for our kids. But we are still going to lose our crap or miss how our actions can affect the people we love. This book also describes how to repair relationships in such a healthy way and I wish more books did this.I could talk about this book for weeks. And I probably will ðð¤ but also, now Iâm dying to read Jane & Trippâs book, as well as Sonny & Parkerâs book ðThis is a closed-door romance. There is making out and innuendo, as well as a lot of desire discussed. There is no cursing.

Title: Didn't hate it but didn't love it
Review: Unfortunately, this had no spice and I really do enjoy the spice. I honestly felt like this book started out really slow. I enjoyed the storyline but I felt like there was sometimes a disconnect between what the author was trying to convey and what was written on the page.

Review: Kate is quickly becoming a fav Indie author!! I am low-key obsessed with her Sugar Maple, small town series! In this book we get to know more about child psychologist Millie and single, pro-football player dad, Tripp.Brought together over a shared love and concern for Trippâs daughter Lottie who is suffering from Separation Anxiety Disorder in the wake of her motherâs abandonment.Heartwarming and full of all the feels, this book will have you swooning and tearing up over the tough and resilient Lottie and the way she brings Tripp and Millie together. This books also has AMAZING therapy rep , infertility rep (both him and her) and PCOS disability rep (her).I canât recommend this book and series enough, especially for fans of authors like Sarah Adams. I voluntarily read and reviewed an early copy and all opinions are my own.I cannot wait for the next âJaneâsâ story!!

Review: ... I bought this book on a whim yesterday. Started and finished reading within a couple of hours.Duke, Millie and Lottie make a great trio and I really enjoyed their story and journey. It was a fun, easy, heartwarming read (no spice (for those worried about it), no angst) and I already have the next book preordered as well as the first one in the series lined up for tonight.
