Title: great for drilling metal
Review: Got this kit for blacksmith shop.I have used it in a hand drill and a drill press.I drilled multiple holes in succession in 1/4 , 3/8, and 1/2 inch soft steel.using the 1/4 and 3/8 inch bits.Worked well. The bit are durable. None have broken and they remain sharp through multiple jobs.

Title: Excellent for Stainless Steel
Review: I bought this set of bits to drill 1/2" holes through 1/4" SS for a project. They are worth their weight in gold. Very impressed with cutting efficiency and longevity of the bits. I was able to knock out in one evening what I anticipated would take several days.

Title: Sturdy, sharp, long lasting
Review: I must say, these Bosch drill bits are an absolute must-have in your toolbox. Having tried various brands over the years, I can confidently say that while some of my other drill bits cost a little less, they simply do not perform as well. Title: They're good quality, but....
Review: The quality is good and the price is decent. The only problem I have with it is that there's too many doubles. I'd rather have gotten singles in 1/64" increments. I have a small shop so that is important to me. I think most folks would be plenty happy with them just based on durability and value.

Title: These bits a truly sharp, strong and cut through hardened steel.
Review: The bolt that secures the drive shaft to my Ironman elliptical broke in the flywheel mount. The bolt was threaded on the shaft and would not unthread. Can't find a replacement shaft so the only option was to drill out the center of the broken bolt and use an extractor to remove it. I set my drill press to the slowest speed and used cutting oil. I bought a set of cobalt Milwaukee bits (Home Depot) that barely scratched the surface. Discovered that they weren't even sharp out of the box! Used a bit sharpener and cutting oil to make very slow progress, one bit step up at a time. Several of the Milwaukee bits broke off and had to be re-shaped and sharpened. The extractors would NOT budge the broken bolt. I even bought a $40 Dewalt cobalt bit from Lowes and realized that I was going to have the same issue. I decided to take the risk with ordering these from Amazon. These Bosch bits tore straight through the broken bolt (without the need to sharpen!). Never could get the extractor to move the broken bolt, but after enough of the center of the bolt was cored out, the small layer of threads remaining were knocked out with a punch. Elliptical is back in service with new bolts and fasteners. I also bought a 1/2" bit that I never used, but I'm saving that for my next emergency. These are good sharp bits.

Title: One tough drill bit for hardened holes!
Review: I often drill 5/16" holes in some parts I cut on my CNC Plasma cutter. Each part has 8 holes that I cut small and drill to final size. Plasma cut holes have a hardened edge and wrecks inferior drill bits like the one on the right of my photo that I have sharpened so much it is half sized now. This cobalt one went through about 150 of those holes like butter before I had to sharpen it! I was impressed. It is still working great as long as it has a properly sharpened tip.

Title: Ready for the tough jobs
Review: After burning out my old bits trying to drill out a half dozen broken off bolt heads on a rusty car frame, I put this set right to work the day they arrived, using progressively larger sizes and they performed beautifully. It's not a complete set by any means, as I had to purchase a bit separately to pre-drill the holes for a metric tap. Overall I'm very happy to have picked up this set for basic heavy-duty drilling on DIY repairs. For my purposes it's a good combination of quality at a decent price.
