Title: Perfect for testing well water
Review: First off, this is not a "test kit" per se. It is a dropper bottle of a pH test solution and you will need to provide your own "test tube" in which to conduct the tests... which is not a problem for me... just need to provide your own jigger-sized glass or plastic (clear, no color) to hold the recommended (2 tsp... 10ml) water sample. The tests are very easy to run and the results are instantaneous and unambiguous... as long as you only need to know the general pH of the water sample... gives it to you as pH 4.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, or 10.0... essentially acidic, neutral, or alkaline. Its obviously suitable for high-level testing of, e.g., well water but not suitable for things that require a more detailed value for pH, e.g., fish tanks and swimming pools. I have a well and water-treatment system in my home and, for me, this is perfect for testing to determine when the limestone media in my neutralization tank needs replacement. In that respect, it gives a quick, accurate, and visually-unambiguous result.

Title: Great for hydro
Review: My use is for hydroponics.I use citric acid as my "pH down" and add that to my nutrient supply. Two drops of the test solution added to 10mL of nutrient solution tells me the pH. The nutrients I use doesn't color the water too much, so this works well for me. Not suitable if your nutrient solution is heavily colored.Also you need to provide your own sampling vial. I had some 15mL vials around which worked out for me.

Review: I have been drinking Aquafina bottled water for a long time until I came across a video from YouTube showing a woman testing 20 different bottled waters and it showed Aquafina tested acidic (yellow). So that's why I decided to do the testing myself with these pH drops and the water turned yellow. I will never buy that water again. I bought and tested Icelandic Glacier alkaline water and it's a blue color. I also tested my tap water and it was a light blue which is around 7.0 and that's good. These drops are accurate and I'm glad I bought it so I know which water is best for me.

Title: Don't buy it
Review: Tested 4 different water sources all with the same reading of a PH of 8. I recently got a water filter installed on my house with an alkaline faucet at my sink so figured I'd test it. Well that was an 8 then we tested the sink that was an 8 the water coming out of the refrigerator to my surprise same thing. So now I figured I would try the neighbors hose water and guess what it was an 8. These drops don't work. There's no way city water has an alkaline level of 8.

Review: There were two directions to follow, one said 2 drops to water being tested and the other said 2 to 3 drops to 2 tsp of water. I did both and the color of the water didnât match anything on the chart. There wasnât a clear tube included in the package which ended up being a hassle.
