Title: Love at First Flight - Very addictive
Review: I've flown larger drones for years and have enjoyed aerial photography. I've limited my flying to calm days as landing the high-chassis drones in a wind is challenging. They are also noisy and attract attention. I happened to hear about the Potensic Atom 3-Axis Gimbal drone and looked into it. After watching dozens of videos on YouTube and reading many reviews here on Amazon I was mildly surprised at all the positive reviews and almost no negatives. I joined Potensic's Facebook group and was similarly impressed with the positive helpful nature of the feedback there. Since this drone was in the affordability-zone, I went ahead and ordered it.The Atom 3-Axis was rapidly delivered. My first order was for the complete setup with 3 batteries, carrying case, etc. It was well-packed and not damaged in transit at all. When I opened it up, I immediately felt very pleased. However, it was so small I coudl just imagine how effected it would be by gusty winds.I read the instructions (one big gripe: the manual is in such small type when printed out it is very hard to read). There was an on-line version that I spent time perusing. Everything makes sense in the manual - just need to learn the procedures for their features.The drone flys so easily. I totally ignore wind effects as the drone handles positioning quite fine. I've flown in 20mph winds with no difficulty. The drone will ask to come home if the winds are too gusty and I'm too far away.Video and photographic quality are excellent. I can produce satisfying 8x10" prints from photographs on my ink jet printer with no maniuplation. Video is recorded in 1.7Gb chunks on the included SD card which I download and reassemble on my desktop. Video is crisp and clear even to the point of resolving twigs on trees just beginning to leaf out!Setup and flying is a joy. I fly in "normal" mode all the time now. I can go fast when needed yet still have control for slow movement needed for video. Range and connectivity are excellent. I don't fly to terribly far away and I have zero issues with video breakup or loss of control.I use a Google Pixel 5 as my flight phone. It works very nicely with the Potensic controller. I wish the screen was brighter though as viewing the screen in sunlight is challenging. I'm thinking about using an 8" tablet instead but one I got was even dimmer than my Pixel. I wish Potensic would sell a 6" tablet with a sunlight viewable screen! Oh... one gripe... The USB cable between the controller and your phone/tablet is not a standard cable. Only an actual cable from Potensic will work.Bottom line, I'm just delighted with this drone. The first one I got landed in a tree due to operator error. I was frantic and ordered a replacement right away. Two days later, the drone fell out of a 40 foot tree and hit the ground below. I retrieved it and to my amazement, there was no damage at all! It survived the fall. Only issue was a bit of tree sap on the top of the drone! I'm still flying the original today and have this second one on hot-standby if ever needed. I love this drone!!

Review: I'm very new to drones and I wanted a good "starter drone." However this one will be with me for awhile. The ease of flying, ease of setup, and ease of use in general had me sold.If you're looking for a drone with great picture/video, decent range and price point, just buy this one, honestly. You can YouTube reviews and by and large they'll impress you. Though I don't think reviews will do it justice. It has super clear video and pictures when you're moving slow with good connection. This package is cheaper than many drones by themselves too. It's well worth it when you consider the cost of batteries and carrying case.As an amateur this thing was super easy to fly. The stability is fantastic. The return to home is decent enough. (Might land about a meter or less off from where it took off) and the other features, track, follow, orbit etc. Are super fun. I use this a ton when I go out hiking or camping. The range is so good! Just auto safety features like connection loss and low battery makes it atuo return.Only thing I'd point out is to make sure the satellite icon isn't red prior to take off.(it needs like +6 satellites or something) It will drift when you do that. I found out the hard way on a hike lol. Ended up hiking down an embankment to get it. It was totally fine though. Bit dirty and a couple marks but other than cosmetic damage it was good.Last thing I will say is you 100% need to take the free TRUST FAA course when flying ANY drone. Even the 250 grams and less ones like this one. It's free and super easy. There's more info on YouTube, but yeah it's a new law here in the USA.

Title: Update - Very happy!
Review: Purchased the Atom 3 axis gimble fly more kit in February 2024.I have only put maybe 2 hours of flight time on this Drone as I have been busy with outdoor projects. Today I had some free time and thought I would get some Drone time in. When I powered on the Drone and entered the Potensic app, there was a Firmware update notice to version 3.4.5. I decided to go ahead with the update since I had a fully charged Batteries and Controller. After the update I noticed my Gimble would not stay in the neutral position and would drift all the way up on its own. So I powered everything off, exited the App and tried again with same issue. I tried calibrating the Gimble but it did not fix the issue. Tried calibrating the remote control and was not able to complete the process because the Gimble control did not respond correctly.Powered off everything again, this time I could complete the remote control calibration but the Gimble still would pan up all the way and would not hold the position set.Ok, I give up and try contacting Potensic support, we will see how good the Customer service is at Potensic.Everything else works like it should, just the Gimble issue. This a deal breaker for me because I bought this for the great reviews and image quality at the priceI really hope Potensic will stand behind their product. I will update this review when/if I get a response from Potensic. After working with Potensic I decided this drone may be defective and returned it for a refund and went back to the drawing board to research another sub 249g Drone to purchase.UPDATE - Potensic reached out to me and offered to send me a new drone Kit with single battery to give the Potensic another try. Sure glad theyHorizoe received the new drone today 7/24/2024 and immediately started charging the Battery and Remote control. After a full charge I went thru and loaded the Potensic app, calibrated everything and went out to do some test flying. WOW! The Camera Gimble worked flawlessly, it did not move up or down by itself and the Horizon was dead flat. The video looked great, smooth and seemless. Battery life is very good and charges quickly. I went thru all the preconfigured quick shots, tried the GPS mapping, RTH feature, shot video at 4K 30fps, took pictures and I have to say this Drone really performs extremely well for the price paid.I am extremely glad Potensic reached out to me and asked me to give them another chance. So in conclusion, I would like to give a much deserved shout out to Potensic customer service for making EVERY EFFORT to add another happy customer to the ever expanding number of people who are flying Potensic Atom Drones, and thank you for not giving up on me!I would recommend this Atom Drone to family and friends and to anyone who is looking for a really fun quality Drone to fly!

Review: My first drone and a noobie as one can get. We are not delving too much into the details here as I feel one needs to do their research when determining what drone may work best for them. I read/watched oodles of reviews before coming to the conclusion the Potensic Atom would be best suited as my first drone.Overall super impressed with the fly more kit as everything looks and feels premium. Love the RC and its formfactor as it feels so natural to use. The 60W charging hub that provides a quick-charge for 3 batteries at once, in 1.5 hours, is a big bonus. Included in the package is a very nice case to hold all the gear including the drone.So far I've had one "test" flight yet we were super impressed how things went for someone who's green as one could be for novice drone pilot. Yes I was super nervous but shortly into the flight the drone's "smart" features/abilities had me somewhat at ease. Never once did I feel the drone was out-of-control not even a smidgen. It's the time of the year when wind gusts where I live can get a bit excessive, bummer cuz I'm really looking forward to another flight... Once we have more flight time under our belt I'm sure we'll feel much more comfortable flying it in the wind, but until then we'll just need to remain patient.I flew in lighting conditions that were less than optimal so there was a fair amount of grain in the video, no surprise as the reviews pointed that out. Even though, we were still very impressed the image quality and stability the 3-axes gimble provides. Definitely yearning for more now, yet those "nice" days are becoming far-n-few between so hopefully we don't have to wait too long.Right now as of my review the Potensic Atom is discounted with an additional coupon that can be applied. Very good price in my opinion for something of this caliber. Also included in the package, for a limited time, is a 64GB Lexar MicroSD card. So other than providing a smartphone for the RC everything else is there to start flying A.S.A.P.

Trotz ihres leichten Gewichts unter 249g ist sie sehr stabil und einfach zu steuern, was sie ideal für Anfänger macht. Die 96 Minuten Flugzeit mit den drei Akkus ist ein großer Pluspunkt, und die 6KM FPV Übertragung sorgt für eine fantastische Reichweite. Die Funktionen wie visuelles Folgen, QuickShots und RTH machen das Fliegen noch spannender und sicherer. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die eine hochwertige Drohne zu einem fairen Preis suchen!

Review: I am so impressed! My friend has an dji mini 3 and even he had to admit it was just as good as his drone, and even has more fuctions. No issues, everything works perfect. Rock solid in strong winds and delivers bautiful pictures and video. Tested it out to 1,6km in less than ideal conditions before I lost contact, and the drone returned perfectly and landed within 1 meter of homepoint. Highly recommend this one.

Review: Alors....Si vous cherchez à investir dans un drone, le tout, premier mais que le budget ne peut excéder 300, 350€ et bien vous avez trouvé la petite perle rare .Vol et stabilité comme un pro , bonne qualité photo et très bonne vidéo ( Bluffant si c'est la première fois que vous utilisez ce genre de drone .Expédition prime , donc une petite journée d'attente seulement, paiement 4x, livraison sécurisé par code .J'ai commandé le pack Fly more ✈️ (369€), qui contient, la manette ( les joysticks sont sur la manette sur le dessous, simplement à les visser dans l'endroit prévu), le drone , 3 batteries ( annoncé pour 32 mn de vol, compter plutôt entre 22 et 24mn), le dock de recharge, tout les câbles utile ( USB C, iphone et USB A) , une carte mini sd de 64Go pour enregistrer vos vidéos ou photos sur l'appli, des hélices de rechange, la notice , et 1 petit tournevis et de la visserie, ainsi qu'une belle sacoche de qualité et de petite taille permettant de ranger tout ça ! Moins de 250g pour respecter la législation et voler sans licence.Mise en route diablement simple une fois l'application gratuite téléchargée ( Potensic Pro), allumer le drone ( 1 appuis sec suivi d'1 appuis long jusqu'à entendre la petite musique ), allumer la manette🎮 , et enfin installer le téléphone sur la manette et le brancher via le câble fourni sur la manette . Démarrer l'application et c'est parti!!!🕹️Avant chaque première utilisation, étalonner la boussole du drone, tout simplement en suivant les indications à l'écran du tel.Une fois la boussole du drone étalonner, en faire de même avec la caméra , très simple il suffit de cliquer et cela ce fait tout seul.Et voilà ça y est , vous êtes pour votre premier vol, un simple clic dans l'application et le drone démarre , il ce stabilise à 1m20 de son point de décollage.Et là c'est parti , plusieurs mode de vol, vidéo, normal et sport , je conseille de rester sur le mode vidéo au départ , plus doux , moins rapide et facile à prendre en main.En moins d'une minute le drone ce retrouve à 120 mètres de haut ( hauteur limite imposé par la réglementation et le constructeur), gauche, droite , avant , arrière , zoom , tout ça est terriblement simple .Le drone permet l'utilisation de quickshot ( en gros plusieurs style de prise de vue différents), en spirale , en rond , en fusée, en recul et enfin en boomerang, tout ça à partir d'un point que vous aurez choisi et ciblé à partir de la caméra du drone , bref super simple de faire des vidéos digne d'un pro....Là où ce drone ce distingue de son concurrent le DJI mini 4k , c'est le mode suivi ( sélectionné une cible et la suivra automatiquement, pratique pour les randonnées et balade à vélo, à condition que le rythme ne soit pas soutenue, il à tendance à perdre sa cible sinon), et le mode waypoints , en gros placer plusieurs points sur une carte et le drone ce déplacera automatiquement d'un point à l'autre jusqu'à revenir au point de départ .Par contre le DJI 4k lui permet les panoramas et les vidéos 4k mais en 60 FPS.Pas de détecteur d'obstacles, vu le prix du drone il ne faut pas exagérer non plus .Donc pour les vacances, les randonnées, les soirées BBQ, le sport ou même l'inspection de gouttières ou toitures , vous ne serez vraiment pas déçu . Pour les 6km annoncé de distance possible, on passe plutôt à 1.7 ou 2km en plein champs et bien moins en ville .Les points Top :🙏🎉Le prix , la confiance en vol, qualitée des vidéos en 4k (même avec seulement 30fps), la petite place facile de ce déplacer avec le pack complet, facile et simple à prendre en main. Rapport qualité-prix imbattable à l'heure actuelle.Les points Flop :🤦🏻‍♂️Régulièrement des petites perte sur la transmission vidéo en direct ( ça lag pas mal à distance ). Pour avoir les vidéos en 4k 30 FPS il faut obligatoirement télécharger les vidéos sur un pc, en lecture simple téléchargé sur l'appli la qualité vidéo et de seulement 720P. Moins de temps de vol et aussi de portée en vol qu'annoncé par le constructeur, mais visiblement c'est le cas sur tout les drones dans cette gamme de prix même chez DJI le précurseur et top 1 en matière de drone .

Review: Creo que ha sido la mejor compra del año. Un dron económico, ideal para un principiante, pero con todas las características que podrías esperar de estas pequeñas joyas de ingeniería y electrónica, comparable -y en muchos aspectos mejor- a los afamados y carísimos DJI.El seguro a todo riesgo es también más económico que el de un DJI.Llevo probándolo cuatro meses y no puedo estar más satisfecho con este Potensic Atom. El dron está muy bien acabado, tiene calidad y acabados inmejorables. Veo que el fabricante escucha a los usuarios en sus canales de RRSS y me sorprende ver cómo incorporan las mejoras en el firmware y la aplicación que los usuarios piden: zoom digital, mejoras en estabilización del horizonte -en el modelo que no lleva gimbal de 3 ejes-, mejoras en el uso manual de los parámetros de exposición de la cámara,...El dron es una pequeña bestia. Vuela rapidísimo en modo "sport", la cinemática es muy buena en modo "grabación", soporta vientos relativamente fuertes -probado a 20km/h- y, comprobado en campo, mantiene el enlace estable donde otros DJI de su gama activan el RTH por pérdida de señal. La cámara estabilizada en 3 ejes graba imágenes sorprendentes en 4K y perfectamente estabilizadas. Flaquea en grabación nocturna en modo automático, mejorando algo ajustando la exposición en modo manual.Dispone de los modos de vuelo automático habituales: cohete, espiral, boomerang,...etc muy configurables y sencillos de usar desde la aplicación. El seguimiento lo hace por análisis de imagen, no por posicionamiento GPS del mando como en otros drones económicos -o el propio Atom SE, la versión económica del 3-ejes-.Las baterías son potentes y ligeras, de momento no han dado señales de flaqueza. Recomiendo el kit "vuela más" con bolsa de transporte, tres baterías y triple cargador, porque es mucho más versátil.En resumen, se trata de un dron económico con aspiraciones a ponérselo difícil a DJI y su actual abuso de mercado en esta gama de productos (hasta 250 gramos), con precios mucho más razonables y funcionalidad similar o mejor.Como aspecto a mejorar se echa en falta una mayor disponibilidad de repuestos, aunque de momento la maca está respondiendo satisfactoriamente -en redes sociales se leen muchos comentarios en este sentido- reemplazando drones completos en caso de accidente a precios reducidos. La marca ya ha indicado que está trabajando en ello.
