Twist throttle mechanisms operate in an extremely similar manner to motorcycle throttle mechanisms, so the learning curve could be slightly easier.
Twist throttles are often easier to use in cold weather, especially on a smaller platform like an e-bike. You don't have to worry about your frozen thumb locking up, nor will your winter mitts pose much of an issue.
It is much easier to maintain a steady motor speed with the twist-style throttle as the motion is controlled by the entirety of your hand rather than just a thumb.
With a half-grip you don’t have to worry about accidentally accelerating so long as your hand is clear of the mechanism.

Review: Works as promised. Just plug it in, pop it on and go! The return spring is a bit stiff for my taste, but that is personal preference. On longer rides, I have gotten hand fatigue and even numb fingers a time or two. Other than that, there is nothing to complain about. Control is very fine and accurate. Maybe the grip could be a little more aggressive on the twist part, especially with the stiff spring.
