Pelvic Tilt

In comparison to the female, the male pelvis is less flexible, meaning male riders are sitting more upright on the saddle and put more strain on the sit bones. This allows the transition zone between the saddle’s fore and aft to be narrower (Y-Shape), creating more pedaling room.

Pubic Bone Angle

In contrast to the female anatomy the male’s pubic blades stand at a much steeper angle and the pelvic symphysis sits notably higher.

Sensitive Nervous System

With men numbness when biking most often occurs due to high pressure in the sensitive perineal area. The external genitals are usually not the cause for discomfort because they can yield and are generally not compressed by bone structures.

Pressure Distribution

It all depends on the optimal pressure distribution. The task with male specific saddles is to keep pressure off the perineal area and transfer the loads to the sit bones and to parts of the pubic arch. That is what the relief-surface of the new Ergon Men’s saddles is doing.

Title: Awesome Saddle
Review: I have several of these, on my road bikes, gravel bike and mountain bike.I moved over to this after 20 years of another brand saddle that has declined in quality over the years. These saddles are super. Comfortable and well made. I ride about 8000 miles a year and the saddle on my main road bike is as good as new after several years of use.

Title: The best saddle for my bum
Review: I have tried various saddles in an attempt to be more comfortable when riding my mountain bike. I have used the stock saddles and bought several saddles before settling on this on. I had a buddy buy the comp version of this saddle when we were in Bentonville and I ended up riding his bike for a couple of long days and I was sold on this Ergon saddle. I used to get rub down there and now I don't with this saddle and its comfortable and supportive too. After years of searching for the perfect saddle for my bum, I have found it. Also its comfortable when I ride without bibs too.

Title: Good but not great
Review: Saddles are very VERY personal things. You get 10 people in a room with 10 different saddle shapes and sizes and you might have a few happy people. Might. I seem to fall into the category that its hard to find a proper saddle for me. A square peg in a round hole apparently. This one felt pretty good, but on rides longer than 30 min, me and this saddle shape didn't agree.I STRONGLY suggest you try this saddle if the size and shape seems appealing to you. It may work for you and that would be awesome as there was nothing wrong with the saddle.

Title: Very Confortable
Review: After three long rides with it I can conclude that this is a great road bike saddle. It’s firmness is right at the exact sweet spot, and it’s contour has helped me avoid saddle sores. I am certainly happy for having bought it.

Title: Quality saddle, hurts my butt
Review: I guess I got the wrong size because I thought a saddle is a saddle. I haven't used it for long-distance rides yet, so for the time being it's not much of an inconvenience. Just, if you're buying a saddle, make sure you do the whole seat-bone-measuring deal.

Title: Great look and feel
Review: Love this saddle. I put it on bike on my trainer and noticed instant improvement on comfort, which only continued as I rode. Reduced longer ride pain/numbness, and allowed me to find and keep a better position longer without having to (re)adjust every few minutes like oem saddle. The wide rear section is just what my backside needed.

Title: Great saddle
Review: Should’ve gotten this thing a long time ago. My previous saddle was a little narrow. This one fits. It’s firm but in a good way. And it leaves room for everything that needs room if you know what I mean.
