The LED advantage with warm yellow incandescent light spectrum (since Nov 2017) like halogen but without the FRAGILE filament of an incandescent halogen bulb. Our proprietary LED module should never need replacement plus LED has the advantage of very low power consumption. Halogen bulbs eat batteries and contain a fragile filament that burns out over time and are fragile just like the old incandescent bulbs used in table lamps. You bump against them and they need replacement.
Otoscope head is removable so the otoscope can be converted to lighted ear curette.....Please see the pictures on the listing to understand how these work.
These ear curettes DO NOT push on to the otoscope head. You REMOVE the otosocpe head from the handle and they screw into the handle. LED light for very bright light with low power consumption
The translucent ear curettes transmit the bright LED light to help in seeing and removing stubborn ear wax near the outer ear canal. Deeper earwax should be removed with irrigation. We also sell the Ear Gator irrigation system on Amazon. It is a gentle method to irrigate and remove deeper earwax.

Title: I LOVE this otoscope
Review: I LOVE this otoscope. I've only had it for a week and already it's my new favorite toy. I've used it on my husband and my 19 month old daughter. There are three different sizes and the smallest one is perfect for my petite little girl and the biggest is perfect for adults. I debated getting the most updated expensive one but wanted the curettes it comes with also and I'm glad I chose this one because it's exactly what I need. There isn't anything wrong the picture. It's enough to see if there is anything serious (where you may need a doc), enough to see if there's an infection, and enough to see wax buildup. Like I said, I have only had the product for one week so if anything changes I will definitely update. This comes with batteries and they are not the best kind of batteries so have on hand the right kind just in case. The case it comes in is really flimsy and if amazon allowed .5 stars I would give this product a 4.5 solely for the case. The case is extremely flimsy and broke when I opened it. The curettes are hard to clean after collecting wax so I'd advise people to run under boiling water to disinfect to make sure nothing gets stuck. The assembly of the actual otoscope is quite simple to put together and understand. It seems sturdy enough to keep for a few years and although the part you look through is plastic, if you take good care of it, which I plan to, I'm sure it would stay fine. The plastic is so clear that I thought it was glass at first! All in all I'm super happy with my purchase. It's a great deal for a small family like mine and works just fine to see what you are looking for!

Title: Pretty Nice Set...
Review: It comes in a nice durable case that has a compartment to hold each tool that comes with it. It comes with 3 black tips of different sizes and each one provides a very clear view of the inside of the ear. It also comes with 2 clear inserts with tips that look like you can stick them in the ear and with the light it would allow you to both clearly see any wax inside the ear and use the end on the tip to remove it. However, this is why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. The clear tips, when put into the scope, are too long and between that an the angle needed to get into the ear it was impossible for us to get it into the ear. Maybe my husband and I were just doing it incorrectly, I don't know, but we could not make these tips work. Otherwise the set is great!

Title: Wonderful tool for families
Review: I purchased the very first one that this company made many years ago when my children were small and we used it until recently when it stopped working, because the light went out. My family absolutely loves this. The size is perfect, it is lightweight and easy to use. It has pictures of what ear infections look like too and different sized attachments. The plastic lined box it comes in is great for storage or keeping in your first aid kit. I teach study groups for homeopathy and recommend this brand as a tool to have on hand when checking children for ear infections. We have yet to try out the currette, which is why I chose this because one of my family members has heavy wax that is hard to remove. Maybe I will update this review once we give the currette a try.

Review: The otoscope works fine, but the batteries were corroded. So just don’t use the batteries that come with it. This is the second one I’ve ordered, and still the same issue.
