Title: Great utility knife
Review: I have two of these knives. One is a backup just in case I misplace my usual one. This is a fantastic utility knife. I carry it every day in my pants pocket. I use it for cutting non-food items (I also carry a folding steak knife). It has a very thick blade, but not too heavy. The long cutting edge is nice for most tasks and easy to sharpen. The micarta scale is much more durable than I expected. No downsides. This is a utility knife and not a combat blade. It doesn't have a drop point so common in most knives, but that's not necessary for a utility knife. It looks very menacing to most people (like a straight razor), but it is definitely not a fighting knife.

Title: Very good knife
Review: This was a great buy! Husband loved it and said it’s super sharp. Know someone who had one for over a year and loved it and used it frequently! The handle is also a really nice color and well made. Overall I’m glad I bought this knife. Makes a great gift if your man likes knives. It’s also slightly unique blade so makes a great surprise. Overall very happy with this purchase. I think it’ll hold up great.

Title: Pretty sure it cuts Diamond.
Review: Most dudes pick a watch from their collection before they leave the house. I pick a knife.I have over 30 pocket knives, ranging from CRKT, Kershaw, SOG, James Brand, SpyderCo, Wesn Goods, Gerbers, and even some Chinabrand BS.This knife is BY FAR my favorite one. It’s a cleaver style knife, I love cleaver folding knives, BUT I can’t carry em because the end is blunt (flat). Can’t self defend with a blunt knife, I may as well carry a stick.BUT, this Cleavy Gerber boy has a bit of a tip to it, not too much to ruin the aesthetic, and just enough to easily get pokey when someone in them streets tries to get freaky. Also LOVE the quick open thumb tab, and the safety groove in the blade for your index finger. Safety first boys and girls. And last but certainly not least, the blade. The blade is so sharp and so durable, that the only way it makes sense is if Gerber made a Time Machine and went back to get one of those Samurai sword making master dudes and brought him back.. to the future. (I had to do it).Gentlemen at Gerber, keep doing Gods work, and let me borrow that Time Machine for a weekend so I can invest in Apple / Microsoft in 1995. I’m too dumb to get rich without one.

Title: Lightweight, everyday knife for a great price
Review: My day job is spit 50-50 between being at a desk and working with my hands. Between that and my outdoor & woodworking hobbies, I find myself reaching for a knife at least a few times a day. I use it for everything from cutting open boxes, scoring cut lines, random whittling, and more. At this price, I'm also less concerned about occasionally using it as a beater. Overall happy with a lightweight and reasonably priced knife!

Title: C'mon Gerber, you've got to do better!
Review: I have been waiting months for this blade to be released. So you can imagine how quick I smashed the one click buy button when this popped up for sale! At last, the affordable cleaver style folder that my collection so deserved. One that didn't cost almost 200 bucks, yet wasn't total trash. Gerber for the big W, and chance to save the day!Well, I finally got it a week ago or so and couldn't have been further let down! I'll bullet point my issues, and leave a review under them if you care to read it. This isn't a paid review either. I bought this out of my pocket, and because I'm a knife guy.• Knife was unsecured in package. The cheap plastic zip-tie used to secure the bladeto the main cardboard packaging was broken. You know the type (cheap, brittle plastic zip ties you get in the value section of a value tool store). No big deal, it was still held on by the pocket clip. It was more the point. It looked tacky, but that's okay. I know it doesn't have any affect on the blade. The Package was perfect, as most Amazons packages are.•The handle was smudged dirty! By one of the screw locations. I haven't tried cleaning yet, and I'm not sure if it was smudged with grease from the pivot during assembly. You can see in the picture if you zoom in. I'll see if I can attach additional images - currently can't figure it out, lol.•The blade was really dull, would not cut hair off arm. You read that correctly, it wouldn't cut hair off my arm. I don't say shave, because it wouldn't do that either. However, if you know how to also cut hair with a single blade, it wouldn't do that either.REVIEW:The blade feels really well balanced in your hand while opened up. The finger relief under the blade really gets the working edge close. It is very controllable and steady.Closed, the blade is bulky. Seems the blade could easily sink another 1/4" into the handle to make its profile smaller. But, I'm not a designer. The pocket clip is very tight. I like it. I've read other reviews that have dinged them on this. It's much easier to open it up a bit, rather than taking it off trying to close the gap in a loose pocket clip.Once I put an edge on the blade, its held it pretty well over the last week. I haven't used it much, opened a few boxes and showed it off more so than anything.People really like the blade, it's a conversation starter! Know what you're buying, and you'll enjoy this option. I just really wish Gerber didn't rush this to market. I saw this blade in the SHOT show blogs, and got really amped about it. That was a few months ago. The way it arrived was like they rushed the guys to get it done. Quality was sacrificed in order to meet the shipping deadlines. That's sad. We're all hardworking people who deserve a quality blade and a value price. That's why you buy Gerber. This is the first Gerber I've purchased in many years because I like a little higher build quality. I bought this because I didn't want to spend the money on a new blade design that I might not like. I can't say I'll ever be purchasing from Gerber again. Not because they don't fill a need in the market and do provide great value in knives, it's because of the poor and assumiungly Chinese production origins they shipped me.I left 3 stars because the knife isn't trash! The attention to detail and production standards were!

Review: Frustrado!
