Review: I can't make poached eggs in water...at all. Quite a while ago I had a poacher pan, which was cheap and didn't work for me at all. This time I went for quality. We received it yesterday and my husband was skeptical (due to me previous inability to poach eggs). Can't blame him on that! We used it this morning and WOW, this deserves a 6+ star rating. The pan is heavy duty quality Stainless Steel and perfect. I followed the directions and timed how long it took. the yellow was runny and white was soft cooked, but not runny which is disgusting to me. So basically perfect and the cooking time was slightly under 5 minutes. The directions were very good, but they left out a detail that we figured out. I put Pam in the poachers and swirled it with my finger. Broke the eggs into a small bowl and then dumped it gently into the poacher. I used a paper plate for the poacher holder and fit the poachers into place. Then I picked up the entire poaching support and placed it in the pan. That worked perfectly. Make sure you turn the little poacher handles to the side, or the lid won't sit properly. I have a ceramic top stove, so cooking time might be a little different on coils or gas flame. When I took out the entire poaching unit I used hot pad gloves. The individuals poacher handles were warm but the gloves were too bulky to grasp each poacher. They were not so hot I couldn't touch them to remove the eggs. Served on toast with melted cheese and shredded cheddar on the top. Perfect breakfast!

Title: Perfect Eggs Every Time
Review: Works as intended. Although the end result isn't quite like a traditional poached egg, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it still works very well. Depending on the size of egg you use, the finished product could be too thick for most sandwiches, but still great on toast... or even straight up (for all you protein junkies). Cleanup is a breeze. All you have to do is pour about a quarter teaspoon of olive oil in one pod and use a towel or basting brush to evenly distribute it between the others prior to cooking. There is virtually NO cleanup, just a rinse of the pods and an empty of the still-clean water from the pan. For a lover of the clean and not-so-oily eggs, this is a must have. Simply too easy to get it right every time. 5 minute breakfast from start to finish, cleanup included? What's not to love about that?

Title: Fabulous Pan
Review: After searching for years for the best way to poach eggs, I found this pan. Absolutely the best. It is extremely well made. It works perfectly. Two eggs, and in 4 minutes, I have perfect poached eggs. It took about 3-4 tries to get them exactly as I like them. I use about 1/4 in of water, and bring to a boil, then turn down slightly. Put the cups in and in 4 minutes, remove them. Eggs are just right. Clean up is a breeze. I read reviews saying the lid does not fit right. It is supposed to be a tad loose. The reason people claim water is boiling onto the stove top, is because they used too much water. This happened to me once. It does take much water for four minutes. I have the 2 egg poacher, so the larger ones might be different. I love my pan and use it everyday.

Review: For the record I am reviewing: Egg Poacher - Eggssentials Poached Egg Maker, Stainless Steel Egg Poaching Pan, Poached Eggs Cooker Food Grade Safe PFOA Free with Spatula - 4 egg holders.Okay so I have used this to cook for the VFW and the American Legion and it works great. The pan itself is a high quality stainless steel pan and alone is worth it. The egg Cups can handle JUMBO eggs easily, and lid is okay, Not the best, but not bad either.The only problem that I have with this cooker is that the little black knobs that you are supposed to pick up the cups with are so friggin hot that you must use a hot pad and that ain't easy when you are trying to flip the egg out onto the ham or whatever you are putting it on. I have burnt my fingers a few times. They really do need to come up with an external handle for the cups that can be easily connected to the cup once done cooking and that will stay room temp so that you don't burn yourself. I mean really by now they should have figured that one out. Plus a handle would give you more control over the cup and make it 10 times easier to flip out the egg. (You need the top side down when done cuz it is the flat side) But overall I do love this egg poacher. So, ya go ahead and get one and just be sure to have a thin pot holder handy when they are done cooking.Oh and be prepared to cook a few dozen eggs before you figure out the proper amount of time to steam them for the proper done ness? You are going to have to learn by doing on this one cuz every stove is different and that is just a fact.

Title: Perfect perfect perfect eggs, the easy way.
Review: Don’t look any further. If you love eggs Benedict, this is the egg cooker for you. I used to make poached eggs the traditional way, but all that swirling just became too much work. I tried making them in a muffin tin, but no matter how well I greased the cups the eggs still stuck a little bit. To add insult to injury, each muffin cup seemed to cook each egg a little differently. Some were perfect, some were undercooked, some were over cooked. The first time I used this Eggssentials pan, all 6 came out perfectly poached in 4 minutes. I did grease each cup with butter, as other reviewers have suggested, but all 6 slid out easily, and cleanup was a breeze. Then the real test: I was hosting a brunch for a crowd and I wanted to serve eggs Benedict. The key is to poach the eggs a day ahead and store them covered with water in an airtight container. The next day you warm them for a few minutes in hot water, then put the eggs Benedict together assembly-line style. With this 6 egg pan (and the additional 6 cup option) I was able to make 24 perfectly cooked and perfectly shaped poached eggs in less than 20 minutes. The next day everyone was stunned and amazed with my culinary brilliance when I pulled off serving 24 gorgeous looking (and delicious!) eggs Benedict all at one time. I couldn’t be happier with this pan.

Review: This is the best egg poacher I have owned. I lost my old one in a move but it burned my fingers when I tried to take the little cups out of the hot water. This poacher is very sturdy, the whole unit has some real weight to it. There are little handles on each of the 4 egg cups which enables you to lift them out of the hot water without burning your fingers. Love the uniform shape of the eggs and the non-stick surface makes clean up a breeze. Prior to buying this poacher I was dropping the eggs into a saucepan of boiling water with a little vinegar added the way the real chefs do, but the shape of the egg was not uniform. This way is much easier and the results are the same every time. I highly recommend this egg poacher.

Review: Been looking on Amazon for some time for a (2 egg) egg poacher but the ones available were not suitable for various reasons. A couple of days ago this item suddenly appeared and it was exactly what I was looking for. Ordered one immediately. It is very sturdy with large coated metal egg containers - more than ample for "large" supermarket eggs. Cooks the eggs to perfection. Could not be more pleased.
