Title: No More Feathering
Review: I was searching for an egg poacher and was glad to find that I could get one without having to purchase another skillet. This works great and all the eggs cook evenly without any feathering, waste or mess. I add a little butter or cooking spray to the egg chambers and they come out without any sticking. Butter works best. I use a silicon spatula to remove my eggs. They don't stick to the pan, but they don't slide out without assistance.Since feathering is no longer a problem, I started using this to poach eggs for salads like macaroni, potato, and tuna. Instead of waiting on eggs to boil and then peeling them, I poach the eggs until the yolks are set, cool them and then dice. A real time saver, especially if you forget to start the eggs with the pasta or potatoes. The Nordic Ware Egg Poacher is a simple and economical product that produces consistent results and eliminates the need to buy an egg poaching skillet. I recommend it and would buy it again.Tip: The use and care directions are printed on the back of the cover.Update 12/23/2020:I bought one of these in 2008 and had to buy another one because the original was accidentally added to my yearly donation box and given away. I hope it's enjoyed and taken care of by the next owner. I didn't think twice about getting another one. I like that using it requires a minimal amount of water, 1/2 cup of water, as specified on the packaging, so I don't have to wait for a large amount of water to boil. I still use butter inside the wells so they release easily. Sometimes there's a small amount of egg white left behind, like residue, but nothing that requires scrubbing.

Title: EXCELLENT USA-Made Product -- Learn to READ and FOLLOW instructions
Review: Good quality product -- metal base material is thick aluminum with non-stick surface. Center lift-out handle can get hot so be sure to use a towel to grip it when eggs are done.FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS: Use a basting brush to swizzle a little butter in each egg cup before placing egg into it. Put a sufficient amount of water (1/2 cup per instructions) in a 10" flat-bottom pan and get it to a rolling boil before adding eggs to the individual cups. I recommend you use only silicone utensils on the non-stick cooking surface. If you scratch the cooking surface, you will have problems with sticking (duh?) If you have experienced sticking, you have either scratched the non-stick surface, are not following the instructions about placing a little butter in the cups before poaching eggs, or you didn't put enough water in the pan so your eggs are literally cooking on direct heat . . . or you need to order poached eggs out at your nearest local restaurant (Sorry, but some people should just NOT be cooking). This is a very good product -- it uses existing kitchen pans and fit perfectly in my 10" OXO skillet. In the two months I have had it, it has fixed PERFECT poached eggs every Sunday Brunch. Well done, NordicWare! (not a paid professional reviewer, BTW)

Title: Easy way to “poach” eggs
Review: This works well. Not exactly “poached” (more like steamed or coddled), but the eggs turn out nicely cooked after 3-4 minutes (after the water comes to temperature). Note that you really need to use an oil spray, because even though this is “nonstick,” it still needs a little help.

Title: This is perfect for that
Review: I have had this poacher for about 2 years and it still works perfectly. I wanted an inexpensive way to poach eggs for Eggs Benedict. With a family, it took too long to individually poach eggs. This is perfect for that. One of the things I really like is that one of our sons doesn't like his egg runny, but the rest of us do. So I can cook the eggs for different lengths of time by removing some earlier and leaving some in longer. I also like that it makes it the perfect shape to fit on an english muffin. I now use it for making breakfast sandwiches, too. If you are a purist, it isn't technically "poached eggs" (more like steamed eggs) because it's not submerged in water and you will have a very small amount of oil from greasing the pan. But I don't care about technicalities like that. It tastes delicious and that's all I care about! I have not had any problems with the pan whatsoever. But I only use it maybe once or twice a month. If you aren't the type of person who does their dishes right after you dirty them and you will leave the pan sitting in the skillet of water for several hours, I can see how the bottom might rust. But if you wash and dry it right away, you shouldn't have that problem. If this one ever breaks, I will have no problem replacing it with one exactly like this again!

Title: Absolutely great value for the money!
Review: I have no idea what all the negative reviews are about?! But I can tell you as a professional chef, do-not-listen-to-them! I am a working chef in a place called The Cellar Door Port Townsend, it's a real place and I am an actual real customer. I bought this item when I put a dish on the menu with poached eggs, after I did that, I had some trepidation because as anyone knows poached eggs are not always a sure thing getting them out of the pan. In a professional kitchen where orders are coming at you fast and hard, it's doubly challenging. I saw this poacher on Amazon and decided to take a chance and am I ever glad that I did, it's worth twice what I paid for it. And if it wears out in the next 6 months, I'll just buy another one. This little device is just Shear Magic! In fact it's sticks just enough that it holds the egg in place until you can drain the water by gently tilting it. It's easy to clean and easy-to-use. I highly highly recommended it for anyone who loves poached eggs, or,,, anyone who works in a commercial Kitchen and needs to poach eggs.Dusty

Review: Just used my poacher for the first time and without actually planning it I put probably too much water in the fry pan so that it came up into the eggs during cooking and properly poached them in water. I also sprayed the poacher with olive oil spray before hand. Absolutely no sticking as the eggs were floating in water and were perfectly poached. I did 4 minutes and then let them rest a bit and I could have gone for 3.5 minutes for slightly less firm eggs. So very happy with the result of my mistake.

Review: This is my second after the first gave up after about 13 years of solid service. Looked all over for this type of pan since I know what to expect from it. So glad i found it.

Review: I like the size, but I have to use non stick spray to make sure the eggs do not stick to the poacher. I tried poaching based on the directions (adding a small amount of butter to each egg slot) but they stuck. I found spraying the egg slots and then poaching for 2 1/2 minutes long enough to get a nicely cooked but runny egg. It takes a few seconds to get the egg out of the poacher so by the time you sit down to eat, it will be three minutes and the eggs should be perfect. The directions say to poach for three minutes, but when I did that method by the time I sat down to eat, the egg was over cooked.
