Feedback

This compact 3-stage electric knife sharpener for kitchen knives comes equipped with 100-percent diamond abrasives that sharpen edges faster and easier. Ideal for all 20-degree knives, including both straight-edge and serrated knives, this sharpener improves cutting performance by creating 2 distinct facets set at different angles to form a longer-lasting, arch-shaped edge. The first stage sharpens straight-edge knives using medium diamond abrasives. The second and third stages create different finishes based on the cutting task. Use stage 2 for a micro-serrated finish or use stage 3 for a polished finish. Precision angle guides ensure accurate sharpening throughout the entire blade length and eliminate any guesswork.
Built-in precision angle guides in all three stages eliminate guesswork and produce consistently sharp edges every time.
Professional sharpening, Steeling, or stropping for all types of 20-degree class knives.
Sharpen both straight edge and serrated knives including kitchen, household, sports and pocket knives.
Electric 3-Stage sharpener with 100-percent diamonds in stage 1, super-hardened sharpening steel in stage 2 and flexible stropping disks in stage 3.

Stabilizing rubber feet hold the unit securely to the work surface.

Title: Tackles everything I throw at it with excellent results
Review: Bought this after it received very high ratings on America's Test Kitchen. I have previously purchased their recommended items and have been very pleased. This is no exception.Very easy to use. Turn it on, use the course slot and the fine slot, then done. In the center is a slot for serrated knives which I haven't had to use yet.I would normally have made three passes per side of the blade on both the course and fine wheels, but since my knives have never been sharpened I chose to do two sets of three passes each.Everything has turned out great from large knives to small knives. Even did a pocket switchblade that I had found last year that was dull. Everything had very sharp edges when I was done.In the future I only anticipate having to do one set of three passes regularly.Grocery store meat departments used to provide knife sharpening for free, but I am not familiar with any that do that any longer. Never had any luck with any type of manual sharpeners.Didn't see any decent affordable sharpening services near me, didn't want to pay to ship them out and possibly risk them getting lost. This was a big one time investment that I feel was worth it.

Title: Impressive sharpness
Review: Very impressive first time results. Purchased to replace a German sharpener after years of service. I was a little afraid when I saw the country of origin, however, so far so good.

Title: Not as good as a professional sharpening, but worth it for home use.
Review: I am reviewing: Chef’sChoice 130 Professional Electric Knife Sharpening Station for Straight and Serrated Knives Diamond...I purchased some wet stones and am still trying to learn how to use them. But until I master the technique for using them I use this all the time. I do like this but it is not the dream sharpener that I was hoping for. However, today I just sharpened one knife and it did a really good job, it may be just learning the technique. What I like:1. It takes a really dull knife and puts and edge on it that can cut.2. It is easy to use and quick3. It does work better than any other sharpener that I have owned, and I have six. What I do not like:1. It is not the magical sharpener that other reviews have said it was.2. Even after sharpening exactly as instructed the knives don't cut tomatoes like they should.3. It just does not get my knives as sharp as I would like.

Title: A sharp cut above the rest
Review: Sharp knives are not more dangerous than dull ones, because sharp knives do their job easily, whereas dull ones require you to use more force, leading to more risk of slipping and to not as good a job cutting. So, in short, you want a good sharp knife, just as anyone wants the proper tool to do the job. This knife sharpener works really really really well on your kitchen knives. I have some top grade knives--they sharpen up well--as well a few sets of steak knives as well as lower grade knives as well as the knife my grandfather made in 1950 out of a single piece of metal (blade and handle) which now has the first sharp blade it's ever had on it. Oh, the point here is that this sharpening device produces a very sharp blade. The manual is a bit confusing (although very thorough, and very helpful as to how to get a sharp blade) as it talks about all the options available to sharpen your knife, and doesn't distinguish between whether or why you would want a steel-sharpened or a diamond-sharpened blade. Whatever, your knives are gonna be much better than before, and while the manual doesn't really get into the differences between why you'd use the "second" and "third" grinding options, this device gives you really sharp knives in a variety of really sharp ways. This also works well on bread knives and other deeply-serrated edges, as well as santoku blades, individual steak knives, roast slicers, boning knives, etc., based on what I've been able to do with sharpening them. Even second-class knives I delegated to limbo-land cuz they didn't work too well, have now sprung back into life. Again, a sharp knife is a good knife to use, not one to avoid cuz it's "sharp", and this sharpener does a wonderful (repeat, wonderful) job in preparing the right tool for a cook.As in all my reviews, I have no financial or any other interest in this product or this company.Occasionally, one buys something and then feels that if you had the chance to buy again, you'd pass on buying it. Not this sharpener, if I ever lost this or whatever, I'd buy it again since I've used it and have seen what it does.

Review: Easy to use and does sharpen a variety of knives with a very good edge. Probably not as good as a sharpening stone and an hour or more grief, but does a very satisfactory job.

Review: This is the best knife sharpener I've ever tried. I know its a bit pricey but believe me, you wont need to buy another. I've wasted so much money in the past on so many different knife sharpener and you sharpen your knifes and before long they go blunt again.I've only sharpened my knives once and they're still sharp. Even my friends asking me to sharpen their knives now 😉

Review: Tres efficace, en 1mn un couteau coupe comme un razoir.Mais le 130 contrairement au 120 n a pas de meule en stage 2 juste un fusil, efficace pour refaire un fil de coupe vite fait.

Review: Easy to use and works well. I've only had it for a month and used it to sharpen about 20 knives. Brought each to a razor sharp edge that has lasted the month with frequent use. Even brought some damaged blades back to life!

Review: Even my oldest and dullest knives became better than new with just a few minutes. It works perfectly, is easy to use, and takes no cleaning afterwards. It comes with a little note in red letters warning that knives will be very sharp after use...laughed at it before use, however, it was warranted as my knives became sharper than razor blades. It's costly, but compared to buying new good knives every couple fo years I see it as value for money (it was a birthday present so not my money, but still 😉 )

Customers say

Customers like the sharpness, ease of use, and build quality of the knife sharpener. They mention it makes their knives sharper than they were when they bought them, works well on bread knives, and other deeply-serrated edges. Some say the directions that come with it are helpful. However, some customers differ on the value for money.
