Title: Worked great for thanksgiving!
Review: Bought this as I was freaking out about 1st time hosting and making all the things for thanksgiving (vs ordering in previous years!). We have one oven and timing everything can be a challenge. After reading reviews and seeing harsh chemicals in other roasters we picked this one and it delivered! Turkey was done early (so we needed to catch up on other things) or know to cook a little later. It was moist and great! I was most worried about it being dry but even my honest sister said it was the best turkey she has ever had! I am so happy with purchase and plan to use for other gatherings with large portions! Easy to clean following for bonus perk!

Title: Great addition to my cookware
Review: Nice roaster! We cooked a ham in it for Thanksgiving this year- to go along with our turkey. It's perfect and it frees up valuable real estate in my wall oven. My Mother had one for many years when I was growing up but she downsized and gave hers away. Until I can bump up to a double wall oven this is perfect!

Title: This works well!
Review: I needed something versatile. Recently moved into an RV and if you know anything about them, the oven is good for a cookie tray. I’ve tried a number of meals, so far everything has come out as expected. A 10 lb Turkey, enchiladas etc. I will try it as a slow cooker next. Quite impressed.My main goal was to make bread. I went through the process, my 5 qt enameled Dutch Oven fit inside the 18 qt Nesco without any issues.I was able to preheat the cooker with the Dutch oven inside before I added the bread dough. As you can see from the picture the bread looks great. Just like it was baked in a regular oven. Can’t wait to try it.

Title: Works like the one I replaced. Insert pan sides that extend over and under the lid get very hot.
Review: I would have given 5 stars if the cord wasn't so short. What's the point when you are resorted to using an extension cord? This works great. However - the sides of the insert pan get very, very hot. This includes the sides that extend out under the lid. I flipped a turkey half way through cooking so that the breast was facing down for the remaining time. The bird was touching the sides and was stuck. I had to wrestle with the bird and it caused me to touch the side with my wrist. These burns are a week after I slightly touched the rim of the insert. I would be very concerned about children around this roaster. I do not remember having this issue with the old roaster I replaced. It was hot to the touch but not hot enough to cause burns at a slight touch.

Review: we are an average joe amazon customerFIRST TRYOUT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS.:using a recipe from the users manual we cooked a turkey. Next time we will turn down the temperature setting a bit. The recipe basting sauce called for too much browing seasoning. go figure.-super easy to reove the cooked turkey using the included roasing rack with handles.-the users manual is a must read, was easy to read well writen-it was like having 2 ovens in the house, freeded up the kitchen oven for other baking efforts-the unit was super easy to clean afterwards

Title: Not Nesco quality
Review: My Nesco I’ve had for years finally quit. I saw this one and after reading reviews thought this would be good. I was wrong. First time using it looked great coming from box. No dents, scrapes or dings. Although the box showed damage and heavily taped. Prepared apples for cooking put in roaster on 350 degrees for 1 hour then turned to slow cook. That’s when I saw paint coming off edge of lid that wasn’t there before. I removed my food to another pot because I didn’t want paint in my apples. Upon washing, the finish in the liner is dulled and the bottom badly bowed. You can also see where the steam vapors pooled around the rim causing discoloration that didn’t go away with washing. The outer housing is substantially thinner than any other roaster I have seen or used. I don’t think it will last long with everything that went wrong the first try. I hate to think Nesco is passing this off as their quality workmanship. I am returning and looking for another brand.

Review: I love this thing! I use it for turkeys, broth, rendering lard and tallow, tomatoes, applesauce... so many things! I had previously purchased a Mainstays brand roaster from Walmart and the enamel was chipping off as soon as I took it out of the box. I used it a couple of times but it just kept getting worse. Thankfully, Walmart took it back. The Nesco roaster was 4 times the price but worth every penny. It's quality.

Review: bought this to make bigger batches of chili, expected to double my recipe from my old slow cooker, turns out I need to quadruple it to fit this beast. heats up pretty fast, love that it has an off option so I don't need to unplug it to stop the heat. bowl is too big to fit completely in my sink but that is a housing problem, not a product problem.
