Title: Great little gadget!
Review: I've used this for just over a year. It has performed well beyond my wildest expectations for a $13 hotplate. I've been in a small apartment without a full sized stove for the last year and this was perfect. I've made burgers, fried steaks, made soup, lots of boiled water for pasta, but the most has been 3 scrambled eggs for breakfast. A little olive oil, the beaten eggs, cook until mostly done and then shut it off. The eggs finish cooking while it cools down & while toast is toasting. With a portable cooking surface, you don't want to treat it like a $500 appliance. Don't be stupid. Watch over it. Simple. The temperature control is mostly on or off even though it has a dial, but it heats fast and cooks well. I don't mind the little control of heat since when I cook something, it's cooked and done & and then shut it off! Make sure you wipe off anything spilled onto it after it cools down or before using it again as it's impossible to clean cooked-on gunk from under the coil.

Title: Great product and great price!
Review: Our stove/oven died recently and I decided until we can buy a new one that a double burner hot plate just might suit our needs. I am so glad I bought this for my kitchen. The burners could be spaced further apart as others have mentioned but I am able to use my large skillet and a small pot/skillet at the same time. I have no problem boiling water and frying foods. The temperature setting gets plenty hot for me. I do a lot of from scratch cooking. I am a bit clumsy and uncoordinated so I have to be careful because it’s easy to knock your pot/pan off these burners. Also if the bottom of your pots/pans are warped in any way and not flat on the bottom you will have issues keeping them on these burners, in my opinion. So just be aware of that. This product is very easy to keep clean and is lightweight. Making it very easy to move.I place mine on a heat resistant mat while in use just for safety because the entire thing does get hot. Highly recommend you do the same.

Title: It’s a great extra burner.
Review: When I cook some things I need an extra burner cause I have a small kitchen. It’s not heavy and it’s easy to use and it doesn’t smoke or smell. It’s also good for making espresso with my mocha pot when the stove is full. Excellent product. Also good for camping or with a RV.

Title: Compact, easy to travel with, heats up well.
Review: I like that this has the ceramic plate, it's easier to clean and looks nicer.This heats up well enough to fry eggs and boil water. Some of these reviews talked about how long it takes to boil water, I didn't time it, but it seemed reasonable when I was making Mac n cheese and our hotel room. Perhaps the key is to boil water with the lid on? I took the advice of other reviewers and turned it on outside to burn off the manufacturing residue. Even after doing that the first time I use it at full power inside I could smell a little bit, not too bad, though.The one thing I don't like about this unit is how hot the housing and surrounding area gets. It's almost too hot to touch in case you want to move it after you turn it off, and be very careful of the silver bolt that pokes through to the bottom, even after the housing is cool enough to pick up, that bolt was shockingly hot and I dropped the burner under the counter.It's a nice, inexpensive little burner, perfect for travel or a temporary life situation. Just respect the cooldown time, and maybe even cook on top of a heat safe cutting board, and this little guy should serve you well.

Review: This product makes a lot of clicking noises which is concerning. Sadly I have grown very accustomed to using a hot plate and in comparison to other models this one just seems loud. It is concerning for someone who has to use it consistently and I might be replacing it sooner

Review: We have been using this item for 6 weeks when it just stopped heating up. The red light remains on so it is not the fuse that has blown. At the moment, I don't seem to be able to contact the seller for a replacement or a refund as this item is not fit for purpose. I will update if I am able to resolve this issue.
