A great bonding experience for the family is the mere act of being together around the dining table, without anyone glued to their smartphones and other forms of distractions. Obviously, this can’t possibly happen all the time. That’s the reason why this book “365 Taco, Burrito and Enchilada Recipes” comes in. Let’s discover right now!

365 Awesome Taco, Burrito And Enchilada Recipes

The recipes in the book “365 Taco, Burrito and Enchilada Recipes” are the result of the long years I’ve spent with my mother and sisters helping them cook a lot of main dishes. What I learned about cooking I mostly picked up from observing and asking questions, which led to something good. Each time I asked my mom how she prepared her specialty dish, she would share with me how she did it. But I’ve neither recorded nor tested her recipes. Beneath her piles of index cards filled with recipes plus handwritten notes, cookbooks, and cut out magazine pages with recipes my mom has barely touched are a precious collection of our family favorites, forever etched in our memories.

Most of the meals we prepare in the kitchen reflect so much about our family’s past. These are the foods made in my many homes, in numerous countries, throughout the years. People say that variety is the spice of life. And so, you’ll find here a global viewpoint on both healthy and indulgent food choices. From my family's table to yours, may you have a great time bonding with your family and making fond memories together.

Title: Completely unorganized!
Review: I bought this on a whim (maybe the picture on the cover influenced me during an especially hungry and susceptible moment), but having looked through it, have been totally underwhelmed by the book. There certainly are a whole lot of recipes for tacos, enchiladas, and burritos (exactly what I was looking for), but, unfortunately, there's no way to find them other than thumbing through the book page by page or looking at the one useless index that is included. It would seem logical to separate these recipes in some sort of order - perhaps a separate section each for tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. Instead, there is absolutely no attempt to organize the recipes in any way to allow for easy scanning and/or retrieval. For example, pages 1 - 2 (in order): 1. "1 Dish Chicken Enchilada Recipe"; 2. "Ahi Tuna Tacos Recipe"; 3. "Apple Burrito Recipe"; 4. "Apple Enchilada Dessert Recipe"; 5. "Apple Enchilada Recipe"; 6. "Arrachera Skirt Steak Taco Filling Recipe". The index is arranged in the exact same way! Why bother! It would have been very helpful to have the major categories (tacos, burritos, and enchiladas) separated and then maybe subdivided into subcategories based on their prime ingredient - e.g., beef, pork, fish, seafood, vegetarian. Some minor peeves: 1. There is nothing on the spine of the book - no name, author, etc. How can the book be identified in a shelf full of other books when there is nothing to identify it? 2. In the Index, why are some recipes, entirely or partially, capitalized? Are these of particular importance? 3. Why does the name of every recipe end in "recipe"? - e.g., No. 187: "Ground Beef Tacos Recipe". This seems somewhat redundant since this is strictly and entirely a book of recipes. 4. There is no "Introduction" - maybe at least define the terms, etc. 5. How about a few pictures?.
